How To Add CommandTable at Runtime

Hi there ,
I am using Crystal Reports 12 with Visual Studio.NET 2008 and SQL Server 2005 as my Database engine , I have used the RCAPI ( Report Creation API for .NET SDK ) which can be used to create reports at runtime but i have failed to complete my task as described below :
1-I Have Created a CommandTable with the following command
       CommandTable myTable=new  CommandTable();
2- Then i Have configured the CommandTable object as follows :
          //Creating A ConnectionInfo Object to be set to the CommandTable.ConnectionInfo
            ConnectionInfo info=new ConnectionInfo();
            info.Password = "pw";
            infol.UserName="sa";
            info.Attributes.Add("QE_DatabaseName", "Northwind");
            info.Attributes.Add("QE_DatabaseType", "OLE DB (ADO)");
           info.Attributes.Add("QE_ServerDescription","OT-DEVSERVER-1
SQLSRV2005");
            info.Attributes.Add("QE_SQLDB","1");
            info.Attributes.Add("SSO Enabled", "0");
            info.Kind = CrConnectionInfoKindEnum.crConnectionInfoKindCRQE;
            myTable.ConnectionInfo=info;
            myTable.Name = "Products";
            myTable.Description = "Products of the Northwind DB";
            myTable.Alias = "Products";
            myTable.CommandText = "Select * From Products";
3- The Problem is Coming Now .......
when i try to add the commandTable to the report as follows :
            ReportClientDocument.DatabaseController.AddTable(myTable, null);
i Got The following Error :
*Logon failed.*
*Error in File Northwind_ListReportTemplate {436793F2-F1FA-4CC2-8251-BC92683830A1}.rpt:*
*Unable to connect: incorrect log on parameters*
any Help How could i add this table at runtime .
Thanks,
Ahmed

Hi Vivek,
Try this,

  • How to Add values to dropdown list in runtime

    Hi All
    I wanted to add the items to the dropdown list in the plugin.
    The SDK Example WriteFishPrice shows the items are hard coded in the .fr file.
    i am looking for a similar concept, but not adding the items in the .fr file, i wanted to add the items in the .cpp or .h files and add the items to the dropdownlist.
    DECLARE_PMID(kWidgetIDSpace, kWFPDropDownListWidgetID, kWFPPrefix + 2)
    The declaration is done in WFPID.h file
    #define kWFPDropDownItem_1Key kWFPStringPrefix "kWFPDropDownItem_1Key"
    defining the string is done in WFPID.h
    I wanted to add the items in the same header file, is there any way that i can add the items in the header files instead of adding in .fr file
    Please guide me
    Thank you

    Hope this will help you a bit with both threads ; )<br />I'm not sure what you are trying to accomplish with defining the strings in an header or cpp file and not in the fr file(s). Usually you sort of predefine strings in the main fr file and then give a "final" translation definition for each string in the corrosponding language file. If you don't need or want to translate you can define string constants almost wherever you like and add them at runtime e.g. during dialog initialization. In this case you'd have to make each string not to be translateable with PMString.SetTranslatable(kFalse).<br />If you want to add items to a listbox or text edit during runtime you just have to get the interfaces and call their methods. Below is a small example taken from a dialog with a dropdown listbox, a text edit field and a button widget. In the DialogObserver I implemented the Update function to the following functionality:<br />- when the button (Insert Button) is pressed the content of the edit field is read and inserted into the listbox<br />- when something in the listbox is selected, the selection is shown/inserted into the text field<br /><br />void VSPDialogObserver::Update<br />(<br />     const ClassID& theChange,<br />     ISubject* theSubject,<br />     const PMIID& protocol,<br />     void* changedBy<br />)<br />{<br />     // Call the base class Update function so that default behavior will still occur (OK and Cancel buttons, etc.).<br />     CDialogObserver::Update(theChange, theSubject, protocol, changedBy);<br /><br />     do<br />     {<br />          InterfacePtr<IControlView> controlView(theSubject, UseDefaultIID());<br />          ASSERT(controlView);<br />          if(!controlView) <br />               break;<br />          <br />          InterfacePtr<IDialogController> dialogCtrl(this, UseDefaultIID());<br />          if (!dialogCtrl)<br />               break;<br /><br />          InterfacePtr<IPanelControlData> panelControlData(this, UseDefaultIID());<br />          if (!panelControlData)<br />               break;<br /><br />          //get currently selected/active widget<br />          WidgetID theSelectedWidget = controlView->GetWidgetID();<br />          <br /><br />          // is it the drop down list?<br />          if (theSelectedWidget== kVSPDropDownWidgetID) <br />          {<br />               TRACE("ListBoxAction");<br />               //insert selected string into edit field<br />               PMString strSelection =     dialogCtrl->GetTextControlData(kVSPDropDownWidgetID);<br />               strSelection.SetTranslatable(kFalse);<br />               dialogCtrl->SetTextControlData(kVSPTopEditBoxWidgetID, strSelection);<br />               break;<br />          }<br /><br />          // ist it the text edit field?<br />          if (theSelectedWidget == kVSPInsertButtonWidgetID && theChange == kTrueStateMessage)<br />          {<br />               TRACE("Insert Button pressed");<br />               IControlView* listView = panelControlData->FindWidget(kVSPDropDownWidgetID);<br />               InterfacePtr<IStringListControlData> listControlData(listView, UseDefaultIID());<br /><br />               //Insert the string into listbox<br />               PMString strText = dialogCtrl->GetTextControlData(kVSPTopEditBoxWidgetID);<br /><br />                        // obviously there can't be a translation for text entered by user<br />               strText.SetTranslatable(kFalse);<br />               listControlData->AddString(strText,kVSPTopEditBoxWidgetID);<br />          <br />               //"clear" the text edit field<br />               dialogCtrl->SetTextControlData(kVSPTopEditBoxWidgetID, "");<br />               break;<br />          }<br />     } while (kFalse);<br />}

  • How to update ArrayCollection at runtime?

    Am facing some problem with arraycollection..
    am having an arraycolelction like this...
    var dpHierarchy:ArrayCollection = new ArrayCollection([
    {Region:"Demand1"},
    {Region:"Demand2"},
    {Region:"Demand3"},
    {Region:"Demand4"}]
    now what am looking for is.. how to update this
    arraycollection at runtime using actions script?
    i need to update this array colelction something like this...
    var dpHierarchy:ArrayCollection = new ArrayCollection([
    {Region:"Demand1", Year:"2008"},
    {Region:"Demand2", Year:"2008"},
    {Region:"Demand3", Year:"2008"},
    {Region:"Demand4", Year:"2008"}]
    How to add Year field in to existing arraycollection like
    shown in about example..
    thanks in advance
    Pratap

    There are two ways you can do this. One would be setting it
    straight like this.
    private function updateDP():void {
    dpHierarchy[0].Year = "2008";
    This will also make it so that every other item in your
    ArrayCollection has the Year identifier however nothing will be
    filled in for the values. The other way you could do this would be
    to user setItemAt which would look like this.
    dpHierarchy.setItemAt({Region:"Demand1", Year:"2008"}, 0);
    which essentially does the exact same thing except your
    setting all the properties of that item instead of just adding the
    identifier Year.

  • How to add attachments in pdf -URGENT

    Hi All,
    I need information about how to add attachments to pdf in webdynPro. I am unable to find related topics in Forums. Sample code,examples,or suggestions would be helpful.
    Thank you
    Regards
    Ravi

    Hello Ravi,
    Please take a look at: Add attachments to the Interactive form of a Web dynpro application
    Please take a look at my reply there on Mar. 29, 2007. I am not sure but i assume that you are using Web Dynpro for Java. Attachment capability is available with NW04s SP10 (both runtime and NWDS). Although, SP09 contains the required web dynpro runtime changes but the API has only been made part of SP10. Follow the note numbers provided therein.

  • How to add multiple table when creating add on using b1de

    Hi all,
    Plz help me
    How to add multiple table when creating add on using b1de.
    Thanks

    Hi dns_sap,
    Can you explain a little better what you are trying to accomplish? Is it to create UserTables and UserFields in the database, when the addon runs the first time?
    If so, you can use the following code
    Add User Table
            Try
                Dim lRetCode As Long
                Dim oUDT As SAPbobsCOM.UserTablesMD = oCompany.GetBusinessObject(SAPbobsCOM.BoObjectTypes.oUserTables)
                oUDT.TableName = TableName
                oUDT.TableDescription = TableDescription
                oUDT.TableType = TableType
                lRetCode = oUDT.Add
                '// Check for error when adding the Table: if lRetCode = 0 the table was created; if lRetCode = -2035 the table already exisits
                If lRetCode <> 0 Then
                    oApplication.MessageBox("Error: " & lRetCode.ToString & ", " & oCompany.GetLastErrorDescription)
                End If
            Catch ex As Exception
                oApplication.MessageBox(oCompany.GetLastErrorDescription)
            Finally
                System.Runtime.InteropServices.Marshal.ReleaseComObject(oUDT)
                oUDT = Nothing
                lRetCode = Nothing
                GC.Collect()
            End Try
    Add User Field
    Try
                Dim lRetCode As Long
                Dim oUDF As SAPbobsCOM.UserFieldsMD = oCompany.GetBusinessObject(SAPbobsCOM.BoObjectTypes.oUserFields)
                oUDF.TableName = TableName
                oUDF.Name = FieldName
                oUDF.Description = FieldDescription
                oUDF.Type = FieldType
                lRetCode = oUDF.Add
                '// Check for error when adding the field: if lRetCode = 0 the field was created; if lRetCode = -2035, the field already exists
                If lRetCode <> 0 Then
                    oApplication.MessageBox("Error: " & oCompany.GetLastErrorCode & ", " & oCompany.GetLastErrorDescription)
                End If
            Catch ex As Exception
                oApplication.MessageBox(oCompany.GetLastErrorDescription)

                oUDF = Nothing
                lRetCode = Nothing
                GC.Collect()

  • How to add a report into the SAP-SCRIPT .using PERFORM ......ENDPERFORM

    My question is that How to add a report into the SAP-SCRIPT .
    by using PERFORM ......ENDPERFORM
    I don't know how to used it .

    Hi Sandeep,
    Please check this link
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_40b/helpdata/en/d1/803279454211d189710000e8322d00/content.htm
    http://www.allinterview.com/showanswers/37425.html
    Calling ABAP Subroutines: PERFORM
    You can use the PERFORM command to call an ABAP subroutine (form) from any program, subject to the normal ABAP runtime authorization checking. You can use such calls to subroutines for carrying out calculations, for obtaining data from the database that is needed at display or print time, for formatting data, and so on.
    PERFORM commands, like all control commands, are executed when a document is formatted for display or printing. Communication between a subroutine that you call and the document is by way of symbols whose values are set in the subroutine.
    Syntax in a form window:
    /: PERFORM <form> IN PROGRAM <prog>
    /: USING &INVAR1&
    /: USING &INVAR2&
    /: CHANGING &OUTVAR1&
    /: CHANGING &OUTVAR2&
    /: ENDPERFORM
    INVAR1 and INVAR2 are variable symbols and may be of any of the four SAPscript symbol types.
    OUTVAR1 and OUTVAR2 are local text symbols and must therefore be character strings.
    The ABAP subroutine called via the command line stated above must be defined in the ABAP report prog as follows:
    FORM <form> TABLES IN_TAB STRUCTURE ITCSY
    OUT_TAB STRUCTURE ITCSY.
    ENDFORM.
    The values of the SAPscript symbols passed with /: USING... are now stored in the internal table IN_TAB . Note that the system passes the values as character string to the subroutine, since the field Feld VALUE in structure ITCSY has the domain TDSYMVALUE (CHAR 80). See the example below on how to access the variables.
    The internal table OUT_TAB contains names and values of the CHANGING parameters in the PERFORM statement. These parameters are local text symbols, that is, character fields. See the example below on how to return the variables within the subroutine.
    From within a SAPscript form, a subroutine GET_BARCODE in the ABAP program QCJPERFO is called. Then the simple barcode contained there (u2018First pageu2019, u2018Next pageu2019, u2018Last pageu2019) is printed as local variable symbol.
    Definition in the SAPscript form:
    /: PERFORM GET_BARCODE IN PROGRAM QCJPERFO
    /: USING &PAGE&
    /: USING &NEXTPAGE&
    /: CHANGING &BARCODE&
    /: ENDPERFORM
    / &BARCODE&
    Coding of the calling ABAP program:
    REPORT QCJPERFO.
    FORM GET_BARCODE TABLES IN_PAR STUCTURE ITCSY
    OUT_PAR STRUCTURE ITCSY.
    DATA: PAGNUM LIKE SY-TABIX, "page number
    NEXTPAGE LIKE SY-TABIX. "number of next page
    READ TABLE IN_PAR WITH KEY u2018PAGEu2019.
    CHECK SY-SUBRC = 0.
    PAGNUM = IN_PAR-VALUE.
    READ TABLE IN_PAR WITH KEY u2018NEXTPAGEu2019.
    CHECK SY-SUBRC = 0.
    NEXTPAGE = IN_PAR-VALUE.
    READ TABLE IN_PAR WITH KEY u2018BARCODEu2019.
    CHECK SY-SUBRC = 0.
    IF PAGNUM = 1.
    OUT_PAR-VALUE = u2018|u2019. "First page
    ELSE.
    OUT_PAR-VALUE = u2018||u2019. "Next page
    ENDIF.
    IF NEXTPAGE = 0.
    OUT_PAR-VALUE+2 = u2018Lu2019. "Flag: last page
    ENDIF.
    MODIFY OUT_PAR INDEX SY-TABIX.
    ENDFORM.

  • How to add a custom element to a SOAP Header in c#

    I am new to SOAP and web-services, and not an expert on c# either so sorry if I have made an infuriatingly simple error.
    I am calling several web-services and I now need to add an element called *pcimask* to the SoapHeader in order to get a response that is PCI Compliant.
    The web-services/WSDL don't expose this property so I guess I need to add it at runtime.
    My application creates SOAP messages like the below: (the Soap Request and Response are output into a text file by a SOAP Logging class)
    <soap:Envelope xmlns:soap="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/"
    xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance"
    xmlns:xsd="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema">
    <soap:Header>
    <AutHeader xmlns="http://edb.com/ws/WSCommon_v21">
    <SourceApplication>myApp</SourceApplication>
    <DestinationApplication>theirApp</DestinationApplication>
    <Function>CardCreate</Function>
    <Version>3.0.0</Version>
    <ClientContext>
    <userid>myID</userid>
    <credentials>SecureToken</credentials>
    <channel>NBA</channel>
    <orgid>123456</orgid>
    <orgunit>654321</orgunit>
    <customerid />
    <locale xsi:nil="true" />
    <ip>123.456.789.012</ip>
    </ClientContext>
    </AutHeader>
    </soap:Header>
    As I understand it, I need to add an element `pcimask="true` to the
    <ClientContext element, and it must be after the <ip>
    However the wsdl doesn't expose this as a property.
    So I have looked at the below resources:
     Bytes.com - how-add-soap-header-soap-message
     Stackoverflow: (18980689) adding-custom-soapheader-in-c-sharp-for-a-web-service-call
     Stackoverflow: (4035423) add-child-elements-to-custom-soap-header-in-spring-ws
    and I came up with a little class inside my `common.cs` as below:
    using System.Web.Services.Protocols;
    using System.Xml.Serialization;
    namespace EvryCardManagement
    [XmlRoot(Namespace = "http://edb.com/ws/WSCommon_v21")]
    [SoapHeader("EDBHeaderType", Direction = SoapHeaderDirection.In)]
    public class CardCreateEx : SoapHeader
    public string Value;
    public CardCreateEx pcimask;
    public static class Common
    public static bool closeMe { get; set; }
    public static int iMQRowID;
    public static string impNme;
    public static string impPwd;
    and I wanted to try and use it in my code that creates the SoapHeader as below:
    private EDBHeaderType wsSoapHeader()
    EDBHeaderType wsSoapHeader = new EDBHeaderType();
    /* ClientContext */
    ClientContextType clientContext = new ClientContextType();
    clientContext.userid = edb_service[0].userid;
    clientContext.credentials = Common.SOToken;
    //clientContext.pc
    clientContext.orgid = edb_service[0].orgid;
    clientContext.orgunit = edb_service[0].orgunit;
    clientContext.customerid = "";
    clientContext.channel = edb_service[0].channel;
    clientContext.ip = edb_service[0].ip;
    /* PCI MASK added to ClientContext in header; P-02925; Jan 2015 */
    CardCreateEx cardCreateExt = new CardCreateEx(); // P-02925; Jan 2015

    but I get a build error:
        Attribute 'SoapHeader' is not valid on this declaration type. It is only valid on 'method' declarations.
    so what is the correct way to do this?

    Hi,
    >>Attribute 'SoapHeader' is not valid on this declaration type. It is only valid on 'method' declarations.
    Base on this situation, just as the error message says, the 'SoapHeader' attribute can only use on method, such as:
    [SoapHeader("myHeader", rection=SoapHeaderDirection.InOut)]
    //Receive any SOAP headers other than MyHeader.
    [SoapHeader("unknownHeaders",Required=false)]
    public string MyWebMethod() {
    return "Hello";

  • How to  add filter in Bex report

    hi how to add filter in BEx report and what is the difference between filter and free charcteristics.
    Regards,
    Viren.

    Hi Viren,
    difference between filter and free characteristics is that free characteristics can be added to drilldown at query runtime. Filter values can not be changed at query runtime.
    You can add a filter to a query by placing a characteristic in filter section and restrict the characteristic to certain values. Characteristics in rows / columns / free characteristics section can be restricted to certain values, too.
    Best regards,

  • How to add a DFF to a OA page by personalization

    Hi Everydody,
    Can anybody please tell me how can we add a DFF to a OA page by personalization, that is what values for the parameters we have to set.
    Thanks

    Setting Up a Descriptive Flexfield in Oracle Applications
    Before you can add a descriptive flexfield to an OA Framework page, you must first setup the descriptive
    flexfield in Oracle Applications. To start, review Chapter 3 ("Planning and Defining Descriptive Flexfields") in
    the Oracle Applications Flexfields Guide Release 11i.
    When you have a clear plan for the descriptive flexfield you wish to set up, refer to the section titled
    "Implementing Descriptive Flexfields" in Chapter 14 ("Flexfields") of the Oracle Applications Developer's Guide
    Release 11i for instructions to the following general steps:
    Step 1: Define descriptive flexfield columns in your database.
    Step 2: Register your descriptive flexfield table with Oracle Application Object Library.
    Step 3: Register your descriptive flexfield using the Descriptive Flexfields Window.
    Next, refer to the Oracle Applications Flexfields Guide Release 11i for instructions to these general steps:
    Step 4: Define your value sets in the Value Sets Window, as described in Chapter 5 ("Values and Value
    Sets").
    Step 5: Define your descriptive flexfield structure using the Descriptive Flexfield Segments Window, as
    described in the "Descriptive Flexfield Segments Window" section of Chapter 3 ("Planning and Defining
    Descriptive Flexfields").
    Recall that the value of a descriptive flexfield context field determines the context of the descriptive flexfield
    and the context-sensitive segments (if any) that are displayed. The section titled "Context Fields and
    Reference Fields" in Chapter 3 ("Planning and Defining Descriptive Flexfields") discusses context fields in
    more detail.
    Note: Reference fields for descriptive flexfields are supported by Forms-based Oracle Applications, but not
    by OA Framework. A developer mode error occurs in JDeveloper if you try to implement this feature in OA
    Framework. Refer to the "Reference Fields" section of Chapter 3 ("Planning and Defining Descriptive
    Flexfields") in the Oracle Applications Flexfields Guide Release 11i for additional information about
    reference fields.
    Step 6: When you are ready to add the descriptive flexfield to an OA Framework page, follow the steps
    outlined in the Declarative Implementation and Runtime Control sections below.
    Declarative Implementation
    The following steps describe how to add a descriptive flexfield item to a OA Framework region:
    Step 1: Define an item of the item style flex in your region.
    Note: You cannot create a flex item directly under a messageComponentLayout region, but you can create a
    messageLayout region under the messageComponentLayout region and add the flex item under the
    messageLayout region.
    Step 2: Set the Read Only property to True or False, depending on whether you want the descriptive flexfield
    to be read only.
    304
    Step 3: Specify a View Instance for your flexfield. The view instance should be the same as the view instance
    (view object) specified for your region. When the view object is defined, it should include all the database
    columns necessary for this descriptive flexfield. You should not change the database column names for this
    flexfield because the OADescriptiveFlexBean uses the same naming convention that the view object
    generation routine uses to find the corresponding attribute names from your view object.
    Note: OA Framework supports multiple descriptive flexfields on the same view object.
    Note: If a flexfield's view object does not return a row, an OAException will not be thrown so that the
    controller's processRequest method can still execute and render the flexfield.
    Step 4: Set the Appl Short Name property to the short name of the application to which the descriptive flexfield
    is registered. (Step 3 of Setting Up a Descriptive Flexfield in Oracle Applications).
    Step 5: Set the Name property to the name of the descriptive flexfield as it was registered.
    Note: This differs from how Key Flexfields are defined by shorthand codes.
    Step 6: Set the Type property to descriptive.
    Step 7: Set the Segment List property as appropriate (see Descriptive Flexfield Segment List).
    Step 8: Finally, you may set the Display Context Field to True or False, depending on whether you want to
    hide or show the context for the descriptive flexfield.

    Hi,
    there are no meta tags in HTMLB !!   If you really need to include these in your development, you have to do it with the old HTML tags like this:
    <html>
    <head>
    meta name="author" content="Anna Lyse"
    meta http-equiv="expires" content="Sat, 01 Dec 2001 00:00:00 GMT"
    meta name="keywords" lang="en-us" content="vacation, Greece, sunshine"
    </head>
    </html>
    I cannot enter the correct code for META because the @§$%&/ configuration in this forum is triggering an error page !!

  • How to add proxy node in message monitoring RWB

    Hi all,
    in RWB message monitoring , i can see two options in drop down list those are integration engine and adapter engine. i want to add one node for proxy run time also.
    can anybody let me know how to add a node for proxy runtime?
    any document or help will be appreciated
    Thanks
    sandeep sharma

    Hi,
    connect your SAP application system (like ERP, etc.)
    to SLD - the same one as PI uses (you need to have PIRWBUSER on ERP too)
    then start transaction SPROXY and build and interface on it
    start it and check if you see the new node in message monitoring
