How to add Target System to Remote Comparison in Version Management

Hello,
We have defined an RFC connection from System A to system B. We want to use system B for remote comparison or programs from system A. However, when we choose (from SE38):
Utilities -> Version Management -> REMOTE Comparison -> Target System
system B does not appear in the list.
How can we add system B to this list?
Thanks and Regards.
Reena

go to the object which u want to compare
go to->version management->select the TR request no->and select remote comparision there->and give the system where u need to compare this object
and next press compare
hope it will work

  • How to add a system into Solution Manager directory.

    Hi!
Can anybody tell me how to add a system into Solution Manager directory before generating license key for ECC installation .
    Also,
How to connect the XI in same box with SolMan and ECC in defferent server to SolMan 3.2 .
I am going to install SolMan and than XI in and box and after that ECC in a seperate box.
    AM I right?
    regards,
    Pratip Bhattacharyya

    Hi Bratip Bhattacharyya,
SolMan 3.2 needs SLD only for automatic data gathering of the sap landscape; you can choose between SLD and LIS in transaction SMSY_SETUP (which simply uses the TMS-domain controllers for information gathering).
XI needs SLD, but XI needs also a netweaver04 (s) system (Abap WAS 6.40). SolMan 3.2 isn't a netweaver04 system (Abap WAS 6.20). So you have to install XI as an own central instance (Abap + Java) on the same windows server, if you like. In this case you have to install for XI an own SLD. Different SLDs can create bridges between themselves. Please look at the SLD configuration guide (quicklink /netweaver -> installation guides).
But don't ask me how to install two sap systems on one server on windows (on Linux it's easy I have done so); basically it will have an own SID and own "service" numbers (which means own tcp port numbers).
If you can't dedicate to XI an own server, it's only a question of hardware sizing. For the different combinations of netweaver components you should study the master guide for netweawer.
    Bye

  • How to add these system in the system ID list?

    Hello:
Now I have a another problem in Setting Up Central Auto-Reaction Methods.I have created in solution manager,  In the system ID list,I want to have development system ,production system, and other system, because I want to alert these system, but I don't know how to add these system in the system ID list?Dose it need RFC?
        Please someone tell me.
         lexian
         Thanks a lot!

    Lexian,
You need to some of these things for the SAP systems to show up in Solution Manager
    1. Install the Monitoring Agents (SAPCCM4X for ABAP instance and SAPCCMSR for J2EE instance etc)
    2. Configure RFCs from Solution Manager to the Satellite (SAP) systems.
    3. Create CSMREG user.
    4. Create Monitoring jobs.
These are just some of the things that you will have to do. Refer this link on how to do this
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/c4/3a7da1505211d189550000e829fbbd/frameset.htm.
This is for the broader view of the entire thing

I would suggest starting with the second link.

Why don't you start with the documentation: Coordinate Systems (Spatial Reference Systems)
Especially paragraph 6.9 (6.9 Creating a User-Defined Coordinate Reference System ) should be helpful for you.

  • Re: How to add targets manually, in OEM 12C, through command line...

I am trying to add the rac targets using emcli interface. Before adding rac_database as target type we need to add a cluster. I Used the following command to add a cluster but it fails with internal error. and the log files do not show any error.
Any idea how to fix this?
    ./emcli add_target -name="bacalbdb01n_cluster" -type="cluster" -host="bacalbdb01n1" -monitor_mode="1" -properties="OracleHome:/u01/crs/oracle/product/11/app;scanName:bacalbdb01n-scan;scanPort:1521" -instances="bacalbdb01n1:host;bacalbdb01n2:host"
Internal Error: The EM CLI system has encountered an internal error. Details have been added to the EM CLI log files.

Looks like it might be bug 15982024 where the target is already part of a cluster.   Can you check your unpromoted targets (Setup -> Add Target -> Auto Discovery Results -> tab Agent Based Targets) and see if a cluster on either of those hosts is already discovered but not yet promoted.  If so, you can try to delete that discovered cluster, and retry the cmd.
    Log File Locations
The following examples show possible log file locations:
Example 2-3 No Configuration Directory Specified with Setup Verb (default location)
    user.home/.emcli/.emcli.log user.home/.emcli/.emcli.log.1
If you do not specify a configuration directory when you run the setup verb (-dir option is omitted), EM CLI assumes the .emcli configuration directory is located within your local home directory. The log files are placed at the root level of the .emcli directory. The .emcli directory must be local (not mounted remotely).

  • How to parameter Target System in eCATT

    Dear all,
I would like to know if it is possible to have the Target System in the eCATT editor to parameterize them like the interfaces? In fact from solution manager I have to run a business scenario in diffrent satellite systems with RFC connections.
    TCD (<transaction code>, <command interface> , TARGET_A).
    TCD (<transaction code>, <command interface> , TARGET_B).
    TCD (<transaction code>, <command interface> , TARGET_C).
    etc.
    Kind regards,
    Aklilu

    Hello Aklilu,
as all people aggree, parametrizing is no option.
But it is even not needed to support your case.
    What one should do is:
Use always the same eCATT target system (e.g.TARGET_A)for operations in one certain remote system (say A). Use another eCATT target system (e.g.TARGET_B) for another remote system (say B).
All these commands together can be part of one script or a couple of scripts and modules automating one business case, like in your sample. The target systems are defined in a systemdata container, e.g. SYS_DEV.
If that business case should be executed in another landscape, copy the system data container (e.g. to SYS_PROD), exchange the RFC destinations inside the copy and execute the script with that new system data container.
You even can create multiple testconfigurations refering to the script and assign the different system data container to each. Such you can avoid to type the different system data names again and again on eCATTs start screen.
In that sense eCATT Target Systems are already variables/parameters.
    A last hint:
If you have multiple occurrence of a series of transactions in the same remote system, it is not needed to write the target system at each eCATT command. Simply aggregate the commands belonging together in one script and call that script from another one using REF with the target system.
    Define TESTSCRIPT SOMETHING.
    SAPGUI ( cmdi_ta_1 ).
    SAPGUI ( cmdi_ta_2 ).
    SAPGUI ( cmdi_ta_3 ).
    In another script:
    REF( SOMETHING, CMDI, TARGET_A ).
Works also with TCD, FUN, WEBDYNPRO, ....
    Best regards
    Jens

  • How to add business systems into DIRECTORY?

I have problem to add business system into Business Systems list in my scenarion in the Integration Directory. These systems are already in the SLD, but when I try to assign a business system, I have only choice to assign XI...
    How to solve this problem?
    Thanx 4 answers!

    hi Peter,
maybe your business systems are already inside ID?
    BTW
did you assign you business system to a correct
integration server? (when definig the business system)
also remember to refresh SLD data cache from ID
    - environment

  • How to refresh target system name

    Hi, buddies.
The target host name which saved as hostname and IP pair in the OS hosts file is used in the RFC connection or HTTP connection from SAP ECC to XI.
Rightnow I will change the target XI system into a new one and I replace the same hostname with a new IP which represents the new target XI system.
However the ECC still connect to the old XI system through hostname. I am wondering whether there are some configurations in the ECC that can refresh the setttings.

    Hi,
If new xi system also same IP address . Using IP address if you maintain the connection at ECC system end and User ID's, pwd's are same..i don't think you require to refresh the target system.
Just check the RFC Destination R/3, XI end it's able to connect both.

    Venu.

  • How to add operation system user in atable

oracle 10g and Oracle Enterprise Linux 5.4
i wouil like to add operation system user name in a oracle table so that i can monitor data in the particular table

    Your question is unclear.
Check also v$session dynamic performance view may be you can get information from this view which you can pull into your custom table.
And your query is about finding who is connected then,
To know about the list of users that is now connected and the time when they connect to database issue the following query.
    SQL> SELECT s.username, s.program, s.logon_time
    FROM v$session s, v$process p, sys.v_$sess_io si
    WHERE s.paddr = p.addr(+)
    AND si.sid(+) = s.sid
    AND s.type = 'USER';
    USERNAME PROGRAM LOGON_TIM
    SAMI sqlplus@testerp (TNS V1-V3) 26-NOV-10
    oracle@testerp (J000) 26-NOV-10
To know only the current session user name you can issue the following query,
    SQL> SELECT USERNAME from v$session where audsid = sys_context('userenv','sessionid');
    USERNAME
    SAMI
To know about on which schema you are connecting issue following query.
    SQL> SELECT sys_context('USERENV', 'CURRENT_SCHEMA') FROM dual;
    SYS_CONTEXT('USERENV','CURRENT_SCHEMA')
    SAMI
To know about the connected user user for the current session issue,
    SQL> SELECT sys_context('USERENV', 'SESSION_USER') FROM dual;
    SYS_CONTEXT('USERENV','SESSION_USER')
    SAMI
If you use SQL*plus then simply issue,
    SQL> SHOW USER;
    USER is "SAMI"
