How to assign TR to Query

Hi BI Gurus,
Query has been created by user "A" and transport request also assigned and released in development system and it has moved to production system. Now the client came up with new requirement to that purticular query and user "B" need to do some changes as per the client requirement. The user "B" is trying to modify the query in development system but it cant allowing changes and giving some error message like query is not assigned to transport request. So user "B" created one transport request in development system and went in transportations option in modelling (Transaction RSA1) collected query and changed transport package and assigned new transport number. Now it was saved under user "B" TR and after doing this user "B" is trying to do changes but getting the same error message.
I hope you understand the problem. Can anybody tell me how to do the changes?
Thanks in advance,
venkat

NOrmally this should work. Rsa1->transport connection.
select query element
give query name
transfer the query to right pane
right click on query and change package
it will prompt for request
create new request, if no prompt, change the user name and you will get the prompt
now open the query in query designer and save the changes

  • How to assign an xpath query result to a variable

    I have a problem that I'm having trouble solving. I need to conditionally run a query based on the results of another query. Both are XPATH queries using extract. I can't seem to get it work as an IF...THEN; so I tried to assign a variable to the value of the query - lots of errors in SQL-Plus.
    Here is a capsule of the queries:
    This one validates the value of a state field from a table of the abbreviations. It works.
    select 'Valid' from states where state =
    (select extract(msg, '//RateRequest/*/SurveyAddress/StateCounty/text()').getStringVal()
    from omnitest where mssgid = '300')
    This one will check to see if the form is for a US address and is the one that needs to be conditional this doesn't work and I just left the If..Then statements in there for illustration. The query works fine by itself.
    IF (select extract(msg, '//RateRequest/*/SurveyAddress/Country/text()').getStringVal()
    from omnitest where mssgid = '300') = 'US' THEN
    any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Aanchal,
    You said:
    nothing happens and niether any error comesVery funny :-) Of-course no error comes -- because you "swallow" and ignore it in your code:
    catch (SQLException sqlex) { }D'OH! (As Homer Simpson would say -- while slapping himself on the forehead!)
    Try this instead:
    catch (SQLException sqlex) {
      sqlex.printStackTrace();
    }Good Luck,

    Hello Sunil,
    The problem is that I have hundreds of users to maintain user groups.
    found out that it is possible to assign user group to role and role to user groups. implementing hr authorization with in-direct assignment of auth. So if I could use sq10, user groups could also be link to position in the org chart.
    sq10 does allow you to assign a user group to a role but when you assign the role to a user and the user runs a query, it reports that no user group has been assigned.
    Suspect that there must be a parameter or switch that is not turned on

  • How to assign a query and a template to a role

    Hi gurus
    Considering my little knowledge that i have of BI 7, I just want to confirm is this the way to assign a query to a role.
    On the main menu of the query designer at the top left we have query-->Publish--->to Role and subsequently assigning the query to the specific role required and similar steps are followed to assign the template to the same role as well...kindly confirm this.........as i guess it is important to assign the query and the template to a the correct role so as to get the correct data.As our query is created for the manager role....points will be given

  • How to assign a task to Reuestor in OIM 11g

    How to assign a task to a requestor (who has raised a request for other user).
    I created a Task assignment adapter and mapped variable in Process definition as
    Map To: Request Info
    Qualifier: Requester User Login
    Still it returns null and default task is assigning to System adminstrator. I am pasting the Task Assignment code here. User key value coming as Null.
    Do you have any idea what is the exact mapping required in Process definition.?? Pls note: I am using OIM version 11.1.1.5.0
    public class TaskAssignmentToUserAdapter {
         Logger logger = Logger.getLogger("COM.IDM.PROV.COMMON.ADAPTERS");
         public String getTargetType(String targetType){
              return targetType;
         public String assignTaskToUser(String userKey,tcDataProvider dataProvider ){
              System.out.println("The user key value:" +userKey);
              return userKey;
         }

    Not sure what sample code I can give you, but you need to do a query in your adapter like:
    select REQUEST_KEY from OIU where ORC_KEY='?'
    Here ORC_KEY should be mapped to the process instance key.
    Once you have the Request key, you can use RequestServcie APIs to get the requester information. http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E14571_01/apirefs.1111/e17334/oracle/iam/request/api/RequestService.html#getBasicRequestData_java_lang_String_
    Or if you don't care then get the requester key from the request table. Thus you can have the final query as:
    select USR_LOGIN from USR where USR_KEY=(select REQUESTER_KEY from REQUEST where REQUEST_KEY = (select REQUEST_KEY from OIU where ORC_KEY='?'))

  • How to assign version in sales order and transfer to PP module

    Hi all
    Users say that customer will require to produce/deliver old goods (we active revision level. The newest material version is D. But customer want version B). How to assign version in sales order and let PP user know the version customer want (MRP run and production order must use version B's BOM)?
    Regards,
    Rita

    Hi,
    i have a query if you have implimented ECM this will serve the purpose but it also depends on how good the planning is, in ur client site ( out of SAP ) where planner will plan according to the customer requirement as to which version to be kept active for a date range.The ECO analysts(functional) or consultants will make the ECO changes for those dates.
    In general for those type of customers (who needs old version) a different SO created under different document type which will create a production orders with specific order type depending on the assignment of requirement type and requirement class.
    those specific production ordertypes can be inturn assigned to either different plant where your old version BOM's will be active.
    You need to look into the custom settings in SAP to design the larchitecture to allign with other requirements.What i explained u is common methodology used.
    Hope this is clear..

    do you have sso configured between portal and BW server, if yes the authentication pop up should not come.
    if you dont want to do sso between portal and bw server and still want to logon to BW query with anonymous user,
    in you bw server go to transaction sicf and navigate to DEFAULT_HOST->SAP->BW->BEX and double click on bex node in the resulting window, log on details section provide a default userid/password

    Hello,
    If the receiver query is web report, then goto table RSBBSQUERY and in RONAM field put the web report name.
    You will get the sender query UID in the field ELTUID.
    Now take this UID and goto table RSRREPDIR and put this UID in COMPUID and you will get the query name.
    If the reciever query is bex query then get the UUID as above from RSRREPDIR by providin the tech name and then go to table RSBBSQUERY to get the UID of the sender query.
