How to automatically install a security device ??

Hi there!
Is there any way to automatically (GPO ?) do the step described [https://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Security+Device+Manager#Adding_security_devices_or_modules here] ????
I need to install the device in thousands of machines in our organization... :(

I need step-by-step instructions on being able to configure group policy so that it downloads and installs updates without me doing anything but working with the SUS console.

I find it absolutely unbelievable that you were able to configure the clients to USE WSUS ... but not be able to configure them to install updates automatically. Especially given that automatic installation is the DEFAULT BEHAVIOR of a Windows computer.

When I click Publish in Flash CC my application is not automatically installed on my iOS device.

I'm tried to install IPA through adt.
Just typed in terminal:
adt -installApp -platform ios -package /path/to/my.ipa
IPA successfully installed to my iPhone.
I'm remove app and tried to publish in Flash CC again.
Now Flash CC automatically install IPA when I click Publish.

How does one install SGD security pack?

Need to install a SSL cert, can't seem to figure out how to install the Security Pack.
The version i'm running is 4.5; Build: 20091119205307 on RedHat
In the manual it states to run this command:
# /opt/tarantella/bin/tarantella security certrequest
But every time i run that, it just errors and states "missing component". So, i must be missing something.
Do I need to download the Security Pack? If so, from where?

I think i figured it out. I had to first add tarantella to the path:
PATH=$PATH:/opt/tarantella/bin; export PATH

How do you install/upload a device pack on CUCM System Version: 9.1.1.20000-5

We received our new DX80. On the CUCM 9.1.2 phone list the DX80 is not listed. I believe we need to install the device pack or does the CUCM still needs to be upgraded.

How do I unload Encryption/Security device/PKCS#11 module?

When installing BankID security application, the old version was supposed to be uninstalled and PKCS"11 module to be unloaded.
I have found the module but can neither diactivate or unload it
from the preference tab in Firefox 3.6.15.

How to add passwords to security device?

I use the firefox security device to store my passwords. It used to ask me when I entered a new password on a new site, now it does not anymore. I cannot change the passwords already stored and I cannot add new ones.

If you see passwords in the Password Manager (Tools > Options > Security: Passwords: "Saved Passwords" > "Show Passwords") then you can use the Password Exporter extension to create a backup of the passwords.

Check that the exported (xml) file has all the names and passwords.

I am trying to move my iPod library (all CD's I have downloaded to iPod) to my iphone but it is telling me "iphone cannot be used because the Apple Mobile Device is not installed" yet there are no instructions on how to do that. No icon appears when I plug my iphone into the computer. I have an Itunes account already but have never purchased anything ......What gives here?

How to automate installing add-ons for large roll outs?

To recap, I do large scale rollouts of Firefox, and I'd like to be able to setup a group of add-ons that will be installed automatically (I don't want to manually install each one).

How can I install Apple Mobile Device Manager by itself

I have been having an issue with my new iPod touch where iTunes does not see the iPod and tells me it is missing some software. I know for a fact that the apple mobile device manager should be installing with the iTunes 7.5 download, but for some reason it is not installing on my machine. I used WinRAR to split apart the 7.5 installer file and have the Apple Mobile Device Support 1.1.2.23 file saved on my desktop. The problem now is that I can't figure out how to install the file.
The file type is a .MSI. I've done some searching and not found anything I could understand that would help me to install this file on my pc. Any suggestions?

i was having this problem with my iphone.......1st go into the control panel and then to uninstall programs and uninstall anything apple. once everything apple is uninstalled. go to www.apple.com and install the latest itunes. after the latest itunes is installed this should work. it worked just fine for my iphone. ps i had my iphone connected to my computer during the whole process.

I just fixed my ipod nano problem on my own and figured I'd share as I have just spent the last 4 hours trying to trouble shoot all of Apple's problems...following everyone's tips...nothing worked until I figured it out on my own.
I'm running windows 7 and have an Ipod Nano (6th Gen). Hard drive crashed on computer. Replaced HD. Everything works fine now. Downloaded iTunes along with all other programs. Nano wouldn't show up or sync on iTunes. Said Device Driver Software was not successfully installed (some USB problems). Tried everything. Finally, I figured it out.
Disconnect Nano. Uninstall iTunes AS WELL AS Apple Application Support, Apple Mobile Device Support, and Apple Software Update. Apple only tells you to uninstall iTunes and reinstall..restart computer bla bla bla. I said screw it and uninstalled all Apple programs (well, the listed ones above). I hooked up my nano to my computer to make sure the device manager recognized it without anything else plugged in...and it did. I unplugged it. Reinstall iTunes and all three other Apple programs listed above will also reinstall. I opened iTunes and plugged in my nano. It started with the "installing device driver software" and I was sure it wasn't going to work. Well, it did work. My nano showed up in the upper right bar of iTunes and synced. Unreal... I unplugged my nano and plugged in the wife's. Once again, "installing device driver software." Voila! Her's showed up and synced too. I plugged mine back it to make sure it worked and it did. I'm done. It's working. Hope these steps work for you as well.

Stop automatically installing Apple Mobile Device Support all the time

I don't have an iPhone. I'm not planning on getting an iPhone so basically the Apple Mobile Device Support software is a waste of memory and hard disk space. Yet every time I upgrade iTunes it get's installed and I have to go an uninstall it again. You think it would get the hint.
If you must install this as part of iTunes please make it an option. It takes a long time to install and remove and I'd rather it just not install in the first place.

Yes, make this apple mobile device support an option when upgrading iTunes. This is a waste of memory and disk space for those of us who don't have an iPhone.

The Apple TV is the only device I've been able to find at this point that can handle video via AirPlay. So unless someone else knows of a device I haven't been able to find, you'll either need to get an Apple TV or, as Andreas suggested, connect to the projector via an adapter and cable.

Windows does not automatically install legacy PCI device

I am using labview 8.5
I made an installer that includes both NI-VISA and the traditional(legacy) device drivers.
However, when I put in the card (PCI-6023E), windows Vista wasn't able to locate the drivers.
Is there a way to set it up so this is automatic? If not, what are the drivers called so I can manually select them from the hard drive?

According to this page, VIsta requires that you use DAQmx, not the traditional drivers, for the PCI-6023E. Last I heard the traditional DAQ drivers are not compatible with Vista, nor are there any plans to make them compatible with Vista.
Note: Switching to DAQmx will, of course, require you to change your code.

I have on my dock for a stack my external firewire drive and every time I boot up the computer I have to click it and wait about 5 seconds then click once more to browse it using stacks any way to bypass that?

but there is an ominous Warning below the Summary. It basically sets the hardware so that a password (not the same as you user account password) is needed when you start up the Mac and nothing much can be done without it.
At the most basic level, if you turn off +Automatic Login+ in System Preferences Accounts pane, a login window will appear when you start up. If a different account (or a different drive) is used to start up your iMac, your user account home folder will not be accessible directly. However, the data is not encrypted in any way, so a determined hacker would be able to access your data.
If you want to encrypt your user account home folder, you can use the File Vault feature which is set up in System Preferences Security pane FileVault tab.
