How to avoid song ending up in "Compilations"?

I want to record songs directly off of a commercial CD for my own use.
I inserted the CD and the list of songs came up. In iTunes preferences, I unchecked the "Group Compilations when browsing" and I chose a specific directory that the songs should go into. Each time I choose an individual song and choose to make it an mp3 format, instead of it going into the specific folder I chose, it puts another folder in the directory called "Compilations" which then requires me to go thru additional folders before I get to the song. I tried to move the song into my chosen folder and delete the "Compilations" folders, but each time I play the song, it recreates the "Compilations" folders. According to Help, unchecking the box mentioned above should have avoided this situation. Why does it do this, and how can I get the song to remain in the folder I choose?
One further question. How do I record in a format other than .mp3? I don't see any other option in "Advanced".

Thanks to all who have helped. This has explained a great deal.
I have 2 questions;
1) When I want to record, I click on the upper right corner of the iTunes screen which says "Import CD". Is there any other way to record, using the iTunes top menu (i.e. File/?)???
2) Once I set the options in Preferences following your suggestions, and I wish to move the file, I find that each time I play the song, it recreates and relocates the song into the original directory. For example, when I first set the options as suggested, the song was imported through directories it created called "Various Artists/Classical". My song was then located in this final subdirectory. I then moved the song to the directory "My Music" and deleted the "Various Artists/Classical" directories. When I played the song, I found the Various Artists/Classical directories had been recreated and the song was back in the Classical subdirectory.
Is there a way for me to move the file and NOT have iTunes recreate its own directory?

Can anyone please let me know as how to avoid/delete the blank page at the end of adobe form output.
I have a master page with header n footer and a body page seperate.
For ex.. I have 3 line items and i want each line item to be displayed in the new page. I am able to get this functionality . I have set the settings in the paginationb tab of the subform as
"after " Go to Next content Area" " but an extra page is getting printed at the end. 3 + 1 extra pages total. I want to avoid this blank page. I have checked the Allow page break with in content box but it is still not working.
Can someone guide me as how to solve this problem.

hey mahesh,
this normally happens because of triggering a new page manually, what u would have done is that you would be checking for the new line item and when this condition is satisfied , you are triggering a new page , the reason for the last blank page is that the condition gets satisfied ( beacuse the line item number changes from the last line item no to initial or space).
This can be handled by doing the following
By knowing the number of line items by the following stmt.
describe table itab lines v_lines.
Now you have the value in v_lines.
use a counter in ur form and keep it increasing it by 1 ( say v_sno ) ie v_sno = v_sno + 1 in the loop of ur internal table.
ONLY WHEN V_LINES IS LESS THAN OR EQUAL TO V_SNO , TRIGGER THE NEW PAGE
this should be along with the condition which u have already put, ie when ever line item no changes
when both these conditions are satisfied , then only the new page will be triggered.

Utl_file.utl_raw adds a line feed at the end of the line. How to avoid it.

utl_file.utl_raw adds a line feed at the end of the line. I have to send some binary files to my vendor and they do not want a line feed at the end of the line.
When I execute the sample program below, it creates a file with a line feed(chr(10)) at the end of the line. When I do dump in hexa, it shows a character x0A
How to avoid the line feed at end of line?

oops, sorry i overlooked the fact that the db is 9i; thanks for pointing it out Solomon.
Not sure about this, but a workaround could be to remove the "\n" characters at the end of each line using one of the many Unix utilities after the file has been created.

Depending upon what country that you are in (music can't be re-downloaded in all countries) then try deleting the track from your iTunes library and redownload it via the Purchased link under Quick Links on the right-hand side of the iTunes store home page on your computer's iTunes : re-downloading.
If you aren't in a country where you can re-download music or if it re-downloads in the same state then try the 'report a problem' link from your purchase history : log into your account on your computer's iTunes via Store > View My Account and you should then see a Purchase History section with a 'see all' link to the right of it ; click on that and you should see a list of your purchases ; find that song and use the 'Report a Problem' link.

How to avoid creation of _(file.*), coping from tiger to pc?

how to avoid the creation of this file for ever on a pc environment??
I explain: as i copy any image file, it goes to a spooler directory and that begins instantly to process the file to an OPI server, separating CMYK channels, converting it to high and low resolution...
but as this _(file) is created (same name and extension, but 0Kb and with this _ underscore in the beggining of it name), it begins to process it, and as it really does not exists as an image itself, it crashes the OPI server, forcing us to restart it...
and then, you can imagine the mess, because we're a newspaper, with more than 100 machines logged in two cities simultaneously...

I believe that command is supposed to stop the creation .DS_Store files on servers. Also, I think the plist file gets written to the user ~/Library/Pref, it probably ought to exist both there and in the /Library/Pref folder to really work.
I didn't think the Save for Web option would work for your purposes. I don't believe anything will work except to strip the resource fork off the files before you send them. There is an Applescript that will do it, using a UNIX command in the script. You select a folder, run the Applescript, and it strips the resource fork off all files in the folder and creates a sub-folder called Stripped with resourceless copies of the files in the original:

The "do shell script" line must be all a single line in Script Editor. It might wrap funny in the browser. Anyway, copy it, paste into Script Editor, hit compile, and save it as an application. I've only fooled with it a little tiny bit, so I'm not sure whether the rsync process would have any strange effects on complex Photoshop and EPS files or not.
As far as I know the only way to send Mac files without resource forks to a server is to strip them from the files.

EBS contains very old cmponents like MWA wich not compiled without this setting. How to avoid errors?

You can unset LD_ASSUME_KERNEL and EBS 11i (11.5.9 and 11.5.10) will work fine on 2.6.16 kernels (SLES-10 and RH 5.0).
The following instructions should get you going:
1) Setup the environment as you would for running Applications on RH 4 or SLES9
I.E. follow Oracle Applications Installation Update Notes, Release 11i (11.5.10.2)

Now we have to make sure that the developer should not use or refer domain u2018ZZ_DO_TESTu2019 for the developments in the package u2018ZZP2u2019.

Evevn i felt that in the CTS at least a warning can be given if the included objects refer to any other object(s) which arre:
1. Local Objects
2. Locked under other requests,
3. Lastly able to detect cyclic dependency as in we had a situation where we had a program locked in request A which calls an FM locked in request B. Now Request B refers to a message which is locked in request A.Since it was a message it gave only requrn code 4 in transport and transport ended with warnings. But if it is some other object then it is going to give compile error in at least one transport and neither can be moved without the other.
Anyways, i will check the BAPI he has mentioned and see if any workaround can be done,

How to avoid db file parallel read for nestloop?

After upgraded to 11gr2, one job took more than twice as long as before on 10g and 11gr1 with compatibility being 10.2.0.
Same hardware. (See AWR summary below). My analysis points to that Nestloop is doing index range scan for the inner table's index segment,
and then use db file parallel read to read data from the table segment, and for reasons that I don't know, the parallel read is very slow.
AVG wait is more than 300ms. How can I fluence optimier to choose db file sequential read to fetch data block from inner table by tweaking

Its not possible to say anything just by looking at the events.You must understand that statspacks and AWR actualy aggergate the data and than show the results.There may be a very well possibility that some other areas also need to be looked at rather than just focussin on one event.
You have not mentioned any kind of other info about the wait event like their timings and all that.PLease provide that too.
And if I understood your question corretly,you said,

So how do I create a separate I tunes on a PC which already has itunes... Or if not can I plug my iPad to the PC and use itunes on my iPad, and drag mp3s from a computer.
I'm not sure what the equivalent of a desktop is on the iPad.. And I don't actually know how to use the icloud either...
Can anyone start me off, given it have a iPad and use of a PC - not mine with existing iplayer
I do have spotify soundcloud so I could potentially use these.. If there is a route of getting either mp3's etc to end up on my iPad or iPod.

If you have iTunes 11 turn on the Sidebar. Go to iTunes>View and click on Show Sidebar. You can also do a Crtl+S to show the sidebar. The sidebar is where Devices appears. and Control+B to show the Menu bar
To import music into your iTunes library on the computer go to iTunes>Help>iTunes Help>Add items to iTunes and follow the instructions
To sync to your iPod go to iTunes>Help>iTunes Help>Sync your iPod....>Sync You Device and follow the instructions.

follow steps
1)     Execute query so we can get data set
2)     Clear matrix and data source (omatrix.clear(), oDBS.Clear())
3)     Open loop
4)     Insert record to oDBS using oDBS.InsertRecords(oDBS.Offset)
5)     Then set value using oDBS.Setvalue(u2026u2026
6)     Move next record
7)     Finally close the loop
8)     Matrix load from record set using oMatrix.LoadfromData()
