How to Boot DW5 without loading Site Cache?

Is there a way to start/open Dreamweaver 5 without the site cache loading first? I realize it loads because i have the "enable cache" checked, but I'm in a weird situation where the cache takes six hours to load. I need a way to bring up DreamWeaver so i can disable the "eable cache."
Any suggestions are appreciated.
Im runnig Windows 7 professional, if it matters.

6 hours to load? Literally? How large is the site? What are the computer specs? All the latest updates? 32bit/64bit? Anything more?

I have been running DW8 on a Vista successfully for several months. Last night I ran DW8 and it got as far as 'loading site cache' and just hung. I've tried rebooting and reinstalling and still it hangs. There was another thread here about deleting files in the configuration folder -- I tried that and still no success.
My PC is a Dell Studio with 8 GB of RAM. I've never had this problem before.
Any thoughts?

It seems as though Apple is phasing out firewire on low-end systems. One of the best things about firewire is its support for bootable external drives. How would this be done on systems without firewire?

I think the partition type makes a difference. What was it - GUID - that was required?
The partition type doesn't make a difference unless you want to install(not run) the OS, or run Boot Camp or maybe firmware updates from the drive.

Every time I open logic it opens the last session. Is there a way to set it to ask me if I'd like to load a new session or a previous one when I start it up?

General preferences > Project Handling > select what you want.
Sounds like you currently have Open Most Recent Project selected.
Do Nothing might suit you better.

How to load site in a reinstalled Dreamweaver

Hello,
I had to move from a desktop PC to a laptop. I had to install
Studio 8 all over again and I have all the files I was using
earlier in my desktop.
When starting Dreamveaver I can see the folder structure in
"files/assets/snippets" but I don't know how to load the main
folder where my work is stored. (Where was doing my work earlier in
the desktop)
Example:
I was working with a site named A. This is a folder named "A
" that should appear under the "files/assets/snippets" window.
All I see after the reinstall is the Desktop and all the
folders in my HD along with the folder that I was working with.
The "Manage Sites" small window is blank right now.
How do I place the folder (site?) "A" back in the
"Files/Assets/Snippets" column so I can open my HTML's already
created, access the icons and other folders below "A" ?

or portable device to the laptop? If so, all you need to do
is import the

If you are running Lion then all drivers are distributed through Software Update. You do not need to install anything, other than to install the printer in System Preferences > Print & Scan. If you already added the printer while it was connected using USB, you might want to delete it and set it up again wirelessly to avoid confusion. Or, give them two distinct names e.g. "Photosmart D110 (USB)" and "Photosmart D110 (wireless)".
All scanning functions are now performed using Preview, but you can also access the scanner through the same Print & Scan preference pane, or with Image Capture.

Not sure if I name the right tiltle. In ADF VO Cache retains within multiple pages by default. For example, you conducted a search on one page and when you navigated back to the same page from another page, the search results stay. My Question is how could you navigate back to the page without the VO cache like you navigated to the page at the first time?
In OAF you can easily use API like pageContext.sendForwardURL() and put null in the forward parameter and no parameter will send to the directed page and it behaves like you navigate to the page at the first time.

You can set the iterator of your VO to be refresh always although this could be a costly operation. Another option is to programmatically execute a executeQuery with a null input parameter which will cause all of the records to be shown again.

Note the "Size" read out on the crop popup this tells you the size your cropped image wil be. eg. The image here is a 21 megapixel image, cropping the image like so reduces the file size to 5MP, your exported file size can only be a max of this 5MP.

Go under settings, mail, contacts and calendars and then choose only to sync back 50 or 100 or 1000 mails. Chances are you don't really need the old ones on your device and it'll save room (I have mine set to 50)

How to boot a desktop-PC into RT directly from harddisk (without floppy disk)

we are using a normal desktop-PC as LabVIEW real-time target (ETS).
Unfortunately, we always have to use the floppy boot disk (created with MAX) in order to boot this RT-system.
Once we had a National Instruments PXI real-time system and there was no need for that boot disk to start the system.
So, why do we have to boot the desktop-PC from a floppy disk instead of booting directly from harddisk?
Or is there a possibility to boot the desktop system without floppy disk, just like the PXI-system?

thank you for your reply.
I just checked again if I can boot the RT-system without the floppy disk, from harddisk only - but that doesn't work ("DISK BOOT FAILURE, INSERT SYSTEM DISK...").
Of course, the boot order in BIOS is set up appropriately to allow booting from harddisk.
And also, the complete software package was already installed on harddisk via MAX through the previously configured network connection.
Actually, it seems there is no boot loader installed on harddisk at RT-systems for desktop-PC's.
The boot loader has to be launched from the floppy boot disk and afterwards, the further boot program is loaded from hard disk.
Is there anyone who can boot a desktop-PC into RT without the floppy disk? And what do I have to set up in order to make it work for our system?

I am working on an AIR app that creates thumbnails from images. For images without an EXIF embedded thumbnail, that means loading the entire image into RAM then scaling down to form the thumbnail. That takes a lot of memory and is slow.

I see the following that makes it sound like the JPEG decompressor can subsample the image w/o loading all of it:

the mipmap is substantially faster, and memory used by large bitmaps is not allocated and then freed.
I have looked quite a bit and can't find any samples or documentation for this....

How do I force an HTML Article to load on every view rather than load a cached version of the page?

I've got several HTML articles, one is a search page. When you click a search result I am setting a variable in localStorage for the search query so it can be highlighted on the result page. When you get to the result page however, 99% of the time it loads a cached page. I need to force it to refresh and execute the JavaScript on every view not just when the View Application decides it should. Also the thumbnail is often cached to a really old version with something highlighted that you searched for 10 mins ago.
Is there any API that I can make the HTML Article load on every view?

Flash only supports a small amount of html in text areas. If what you re trying to include is within what it supports, then you assign the text to the textfield using the htmlText property of the TextField...
