How to pass parametrs into application

I have a applet which i would like to run as a application. Question is how to pass parametrs which applet need. WHen i use this.getParameter("nameofparam") i got stupid NullPointerException.

The getParameter method tries to look at the HTML document in which the applet is embedded, so it will always return null if there's no HTML document to inspect (note that the method itself isn't throwing a NullPointerException - that's thrown when you try to do something with the null parameter).
So you'll have to use a completely different way of setting the parameters. The simplest is to provide a default value for if getParameter returns null:
String parameter = getParameter("nameofparam");
if (parameter == null)
parameter = "Default value";Alternatively you could pass parameters at the command line and reference them with the array passed to the main method, or if your application has a GUI they could be taken from a menu, etc.

Wanted to put a file via a drag and drop into applications on my finder sidebar. it missed and landed in the sidebar itself. i can not remove it. i can not even highlight it. how can i remove it from the sidebar.

Try holding down the Command key and dragging the file well off the sidebar.

as in the common model exists file for resouce bundle
and each other applications contains resource bundle files how can i merge all these file in one Resource bundle file ?

Your profile says you have 10.6, so why bother with the original 10.5 OS?
But to your question, before you erase anything, make a backup of your data for safe keeping and restoration. Having an external hard drive for this purpose is most useful.

Installed Firefox on new MacBook Pro. "drag firefox into applications" window opens every time Firefox opens and also have to eject disk everytime close Firefox. How to make this not happen?

Fonts are handled by your operating system and installed through the respective System Control panel (Windows) or Fontbook (Mac). On Windows simply type "Fonts" in the search bar in the start menu and when you open the panel/ folder use File --> Add Font. On Mac the procedures are similar, you just need to find the Fontbook app in Applications:Utilities.

Hi,
1) goto SXDA_TOOLS Transaction code
2) Provide the Following details
Object Type : DXPROJECT
Program Type: BAPI
Program/Method: CREATE
3) Click on Copy Button
4) Select the Source as Presentation Server
     a) Select the File where you saved in your Local machine
5) Select the Target as Application server
     a) Check the check box Remote Server
     b) Select the File type as Physical
     c) In File name give /usr/sap/SSD/DVEBMGS00/work\Your file name (This the Server path
Where the file is going to save)
6) Click on Continue
Go to AL11 and check whether the File has been create in the following path /usr/sap/SSD/DVEBMGS00/work
Provide this path in the Communication channel path when you select the Transport Protocol as NFS and you place the file in AL11 directory.

2. What was the interface tables. How the interface tables will be useful while importing metadata into EPMA application (Detailed steps with screen shots will be appreciated.). And tell me the interface tables structure and work process. give me the clear idea bout interface tables. I don't know anything about interface tables.
3.Which method(either using ODI or Interface tables) is optimized/bestcase for importing metadata into EPMA application.
My database is Oracle 10g and I am using Planning 9.3.1.

Answer to your questions
1. You can't import metadata directly into EPMA using ODI, the only option is use the EPMA interface tables which is your question 2.
2. Interface tables are just a structure of database tables which you populate with metadata and then this is pushed into EPMA, the structure of the tables takes a while to get an understanding of. The best place to start would be the documentation :- http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E10530_01/doc/epm.931/bpma_admin.pdf
3. As explained in question 1 you can't use ODI directly to import metadata into EPMA but with a lot of hard work and effort you could probably populate interface tables from EPMA, though I must admit I am not a fan of the interface tables because I don't think they were designed with simplicity and ease of use in mind.

I want to deploy web application which is developped using JAVA web technology into SAP netweaver Engine.
I tried to deploy .war file through SDM but it complained the following error
"Error loading archive

(server side name is: F:\usr\sap\JR1\JC01\SDM\program\temp\MyProject.war)
com.sap.sdm.util.sduread.IIIFormattedSduFileException: The information about development component found in the manifest is either missing or incomplete!
Manifest attributes are missing or have badly formatted value:
attribute keylocation missing
attribute keyname is missing
attribute keyvendor is missing
attribute keycounter is missing
(F:\usr\sap\JR1\JC01\SDM\program\temp\MyProject.war)"
Can any one please suggest how to deploy external web application into SAP netweaver engine.
Is there any procedure to follow to do this.

You may need to convert the .war archive to SDA/SCA file format before deploying it to SAP Netweaver Engine.
Check out the below SAP NOTE if it is usefull.
Note 1223957 - Usage of NetWeaver Packaging Tool.
Apart from SDM you can also deploy the files through telnet...

1)Connect to telnet as below
Start --> Run
telnet hostname/ip address portno
Ex: telnet xxx.xx.xx.x 5<Instance no>08
2)Login with administrator id:
Use the below command to deploy the files.
deploy <directory path to the SDAs location> version_rule=all on_prerequisite_error=stop on_deploy_error=stop
Example: deploy E:\usr\sap\trans\EPS\in\VCBASE03_0-10006939.SCA version_rule=all on_prerequisite_error=stop on_deploy_error=stop.
Also have a look at this note which talks about the error you are getting.

Put the files you want on the first page into the folder, and then use subfolders for the subsequent pages. If the process you saw involved Launchpad on a newer OS, it can’t be done on 10.6.8.
