How to cancel an engineers visit

I reported a fault online with the landline and booked an engineers visit. Received confirmation e-mail of the visit.
Fortunately I managed to fix the fault myself and then (as requested by the email) went back to bt.com to cancel the engineers visit. I couldnt find any way online to do this.
Telephoned BT and was told "You cant cancel it online" it can only be done by us at this end.

In November the line was virtually unusable and the bb kept dropping. Went through the usual procedures,and an engineers visit was arranged. On the day of the visit,the engineer climbed up a pole at the bottom of the garden and an hour later we had a decent phone line again. The engineer never came on or in my property. We have now been charged £129.99 for this despite being told by BT that if the engineer doesn't come inside the house 'you can't be charged'. Clearly the problem was with BT's equipment and not our socket/phone etc. The wife has just phoned BT to complain and is being fobbed off with a load of old waffle. To make matters worse,the phone is now all crackly again and the bb keeps dropping,and we have an engineer booked for Monday. I shall have to cancel this and put up with all these problems as I am not prepared to be ripped off again. Can someone verify that if an engineer doesn't come into/onto your property,that you cannot be charged for it. Thanks.

Although this is quite an old thread, I feel I have to post regarding this. I have had a new install recently, and the infinty 76Mb is giving me 20Mb or there abouts anytime I test it. After a flurry of retests by CS these said they will send out an engineer. In the confirmation text its states:
"Remember it's £129.99 if the problem's with your set up or equipment or if we improve your home wiring or setup to resolve the problem"...
What a complete cheek!! If thats the case, how about: If the engineer finds the fault is down to BT, then the customer charges BT £150.00 for having to taking a day off of work in order that BT fix thier OWN issue. AND they get full reimbursement for the service they are paying for but are not GETTING.
Fair enough if theyre wasting thier time on someone who hasnt updated drivers, sure take a fee - as business is business. But dont come out with that **bleep** unless it works both ways. If the customers takes up your time, charge a fee, but why are you not compensating the customer for a loss of wage when the fault is with BT? Double standard aka GREED.
Sick of rip of companies.

Please note that if you have an iTunes Match subscription, you can't change countries until the subscription has expired. Your subscription expires 08/18/2013.
To turn off Auto-Renew for iTunes Match, follow these steps:
1) Open iTunes.
2) From the pull-down Store menu in the menu bar, Choose Store > Sign In.
3) Enter your iTunes Store account name and password, then click Sign In.
4) Go to the Store menu again, Choose Store > View My Account.
5) Enter your account name and password a second time, then click View Account.
You will be taken to your Apple Account Information page. On this page, simply click the "Turn Off Auto-Renew" button next to iTunes Match.

Again, not accurate. When Match is "turned off" all of the Matched song instances are still shown in the Ibrary and all devices still stream - so, if you have your songs also stored on your local drive (which I choose to as one does not always have access to WiFi and I use the local instances of the songs for some music production/DJing), iTunes shows each song twice. This is cumbersome if you simply want to play an album - you have to hear each song twice. There is no reason technologically they could not simply show the metadata for a song only once and simply hit the cloud object store when it it is not found as a local disk target. This would solve some of the issues and it is pretty much how any content delivery network (CDN) works - and this is how my local Genius Bar assured me it would work before I bought the service. I found they know little about Match.
Other issues: I believe the "exclusive" Cloud Playtlist logic still stands - iTunes protests if you add a non-Matched song to a Playlist (as it assumes you want all Playlists to be cloudy). Also, the APLCARE person and I could not figure out what "Removed" (under Cloud Status) means despite looking up several explanations on the Web. And, we found songs that were only in the cloud that should have also been on my local drive as I never deleted them. That said, it is also a pain to fully delete a song (local + the cloud). Plus, the logic in the Purchased section around what constitutes "Not On Computer" did not hold up. They have lots of logical challenges with thier workflow.
Regardingyour suggestion, there is no way to "not use" Match. Only when one is disconnected from the iTunes store does Match seem to go away completely.The only thing you can turn off is the song syncing/matching/uploading. This amounts only to turning off a sub-process not the service.
Match is likely fine for most who do not want to have any copy of the songs locally and are fine having access to their music only when connected via WiFi. I wanted more ubiquitous access to my collection from my iPad and my iPhone but needed to keep my songs local to my MBP too. This is not the proper use case as I have learned.
Of course I won't renew, but I should be able to cancel a service that I am dissatisfied with.

How do I use the VIs for the Fluke Hydra Series 2620a multimeter? I am conducting a Senior Design Project at Temple University. It is a Control System where I need to read voltages from sensors and output voltages to different system components. I am trying to set up a VI using the VIs found above to make sure that I can successfully read and send voltages. There was no documentation given with the 2620a VIs.

Unfortunately, you've got a very old driver for an old instrument. The only available help is to turn on Context Help and move your mouse over the VI icon. It doesn't appear to have any help for individual controls and indicators. The only good news is that it appears to be a simple instrument with only a few functions. There's some main ones line initialize (to set serial port), configure channel, configure instr, and read values. One main thing is whether you're using gpib or serial, Each front panel has a setting. If it's gpib, set the port to the gpib address. If it's serial, set the port to one number less than the com port you're connected to. For example, if you're using Com1, set the port to 0. For the other controls, I'm afraid that you're going to have to try and compare what's there with the controls and settings of the actual instrument. Having access to the instrument manual will be essential. I would engourage you to experiment a little. There's probably very little chance of damaging the instrument especially if nothing is hooked up to it. Send a command and see what happens or set the instrument up manually and see if you can reproduce that via remote control.

Cancelling of excise invoice will be done in the following ways depending on the situation.
Case 1:
Create PO
Do MIGO (create and post excise invoice)
Create return delivery in quality inspection.
Now we have to create a rejection inmvoice in J1IS with reference to the return delivery wherein the excise values gets reversed.
If u try to reverse part 2 entries in J1IEX it will not come.
Case2:
Create PO
Do MIGO (create and post excise invoice)
Do cancellation of MIGO (102 mvt)
With ref to vendor or internal excise invoice number just post the transaction. excise part 2 entries will get reversed. This will happen only if 102 entry exist for the PO line item.
In a nutshell excise entries cancellation comes only if we cancel the material document. If we do return delivery then we have to create rejection excise invoice.

Background:
I have a system that serially publishes 14 byte packets on a semi-regular interval.
At busy times, the producer of these these packets queues the data, effectively producing super-packets in multiples of 14 bytes sometimes as large as 8 packets (112 bytes).
My protocol handler has been designed to processes bytes, packets or super-packets.
My application now has multiple devices and the order of message processing is critical to correct functionality.
My observation is that the VISA read waits until the end of a packet/ super-packet before passing the data to the application code. (See Plot Below)
My expectation is that VISA read should give me available bytes, and not get too smart for itself and wait for a packet.
I have observed this on PXI, Embedded PC, cFP and most recently, cRIO
I have experimented with the cRIO's Scan interface rate, which helps with reducing the packet backlog but doesn't resolve to sub-packet byte read.
I understand that one solution is to Write FPGA code to handle it and pass the bytes through R/T-FIFO, and there are some great examples on this site.
Unfortunately this doesn't help with non FPGA devices.
I have also dabbled in event based serial reads but it is diabolical on vxWorks devices.
