You can use your remaining store credit by purchasing an item, and paying the extra amount using a credit card, debit card, or if your country's store supports it, your PayPal or Click&Buy account.

Settings > iTunes & App Stores > tap your Apple ID: > View Apple ID > Country/Region
If you find that it is set to the correct region, log out of your iTunes Store account, restart your iPhone, and sign into your account again.
Note that you will need an account in the UK iTunes Store to use it.

It's a common way to run multiple OSs, if there's room. I've had two on my internal HD for a couple of years. Plus a small partition for a copy of my Snow Leopard Install disc. Just be sure to leave at least 10% to 15% free on each partition.
Running Lion on a partition of the disk that also contains your backups is not a good idea; if that drive fails, you risk losing both copies of your stuff!
OSX will also run somewhat more slowly, because access to an external is slower. That probably won't be very significant, though.
Also, would the decision be effected by how long I want to maintain the SL section? I am assuming once I sort out what to replace Quicken with, I won't want to keep the SL section. So would it be easy enough to 'clear out the SL data, and open the partition?

All things considered, your best bet may be to "clone" your SL partition to the second one, then (once you're sure everything is cool), erase the original (top) SL partition. You can use the Restore tab of Disk Utility for that (#7 in the same link), or a "cloning" app such as CarbonCopyCloner or SuperDuper. Then install Lion on the top partition.
When you're done with SL, just delete it's partition and expand the Lion partition down into the vacated space.

Can you explain to me in a little more detail on this as I have 2 CC's from two European countries 'One CC is for a bank account in the country I was born with an address from the country where I live and one CC for a bank account in the country I live which also has an address of the country where I live', with these cards I can purchase what I want, in any shop or web application in any country I want that accepts credit cards... except the iTunes store.
In the iTunes store I am restricted to purchase apps that are listed for the country my Account is with and I can ony use a credit CC that has an address that is from the same country as my account, it is just that I 'as I am sure many Europeans' find this a little backward as we tend to move around Europe as Americans move around the USA... also, when we people move around Europe the language of the country is different although we might communicate in our first language, while that is not an option with iTunes either.

How can I store passwords that have been deleted

I had usernames and passwords stored for several e-mail accounts on the same site. These were accidentally removed from the saved passwords list, and now I cannot get Firefox (23.0) to remember them again. I do have password saving enabled (behind a master password), and this site does not appear on the 'exceptions list.' In the Manage Password utility, there is no facility to add new passwords, only remove them. It seems, once removed, Firefox assumes one will never want to save this site again.
I'm in and out of these accounts literally dozens of times per day, and now have to log in manual every single time. How can I get Firefox to save these username/password combinations for me again?

now that you have saved the passwords again, you can remove the addon. it (or the bookmarklet) is not necessary for subsequent visits if the password is already stored in the password manager.

How to change the name or have no name for an iCloud email alias

I had MobileMe on the iPhone with alias email addresses and I liked how it didn’t attach any “name” to an alias. For example, I had MainUserName, then for aliases I would have [email protected], [email protected], etc. When I sent an email from my iPhone using one of the aliases as the "from" no name would be associated with the alias email address. If it was the MainUserName then it would associate it, e.g. Main User <[email protected]> will show up on the "From" field when I sent an email. But with iCloud on the iPhone (and iPad), it’s Main User <[email protected]>, Main User <[email protected], etc., which I don’t want. If anything it should be Alias 1 <[email protected]> or Alias 2 <[email protected]>. Anyway, I don't want any name associated with the aliases, so when I send an email it will simply say [email protected] or just [email protected] with no name association.
It works differently if I access iCloud through a web browser. If I send an email via iCloud on the web, I can customize and have a different name with each alias, e.g., Tom <[email protected]> or Harry <[email protected]> And the customization carries over to the Mail app on my Mac. That would be ideal if the customization carried over to the iPhone and iPad, but I'd be happy if there was no name association with alias email addresses. Hopefully, there's a solution to the iPhone/iPad situation with iCloud as I don't want the name linked with the main iCloud email address linked with all the different email aliases I have.
