How to chwck MS SQL server driver version in visual admin

Please let me know jow to check MS SQL server driver version in visual admin

We make a JDBC connector connection for a datasource for the Database in visual Admin.Please check the version in that.
Goto Visual admin then In the Runtime tab of JDBC Connector Service, choose Resources and check there.
You can check the version of server driver at os level then y do you want to go for visual admin.

Just as information, if you need to load a JDBC driver dynamically without previously knowing its name (meaning you can't add it to the classpath manually in your startup batch), the following will not work:
// register the SQL driver as necessary
DriverManager.registerDriver(new com.microsoft.jdbc.sqlserver.SQLServerDriver());
// connect to the DB by using the driver.
String connString = "my_dbserver:1433;databasename=my_database";

conn = DriverManager.getConnection(strDBConnect, userName, passwd);
This is because the DriverManager.getConnection checks if the loaded class was loaded by the same class loader than itself. And for dynamic scenarios, you need a new classloader for the new classes.
Above, the class will be loaded correctly, but getConnection will fail.
This behaviour costed me several hours while developing a dialog for adding drivers dynamically, until I saw the reason.
But a solution has been posted in the forums, which goes like this:
// jdbcLoader is my individual class loader, you can construct it with the driver url
Class driverClass = Class.forName(driverName, true, jdbcLoader);
currDriver = (Driver)driverClass.newInstance();
// problem: classes which were loaded in custom class loader are not recognized by DriverManager. So the following would fail:

Please anybody tell me how to call a sql server stored procedure from oracle.
I've made an hsodbc connection and i can do insert, update, fetch data in sql server from oracle. But calling SP gives error. when I tried an SP at oracle that has line like
"dbo"."CreateReceipt"@hsa
where CreateReceipt is the SP of sql server and hsa is the DSN, it gives the error that "dbo"."CreateReceipt" should be declared.
my database version is 10g
Please help me how can i call it... I need to pass some parameters too to the SP

Hi Stephan,
This is a bug in the unixODBC Driver Manager 2.3.0. Essentially, you can only have one HDBC per HENV. The mod_perl must be creating the connections upon the same HENV.
The bug appears to be fixed in version 2.3.1 but we have not yet certified that out driver can work with 2.3.1. See the 2.3.1 release notes at
http://www.unixodbc.org/ where the last item says:
"Driver version was not being held when a second connection was made to the driver"
The Driver Manager would "forget" that we are an ODBC V3 driver and try intereacting with us as an ODBC V2 driver for the second connection (which fails).
The workaround is to create a new HENV for each connection but I'm not sure if this is possible in mod_perl.

has Weblogic Server 7.0 installed on it. Is there some kind of tool/command to
do so or does Weblogic console say something about it

The best thing to do is to download Oracle's latest appropriate
driver from their site, and edit the start-weblogic script to
make sure the downloaded driver is ahead of any weblogic stuff in
the server's classpath. We do ship a driver, but Oracle usually
has a newer better one very soon after that...

BO XI 3.1 in Webi Rich Client, i get this when I use the default Audit Universe to run the Sample Auditing Report.
A database error occured. The database error text is: [Microsoft][ODBC SQL Server Driver][SQL Server]Statement(s) Could not prepared..(WIS 10901)
In infoview webi i get this,

We tried checking all the rights and we are trying this using the Administrator user. Also tried logon to Desinger, Import Auditing Universe and Verify the Parameters and then re exported. Still not working

Thanks for your suggestions and I tried all that what I can do along with your suggestion, and still getting the same error, all the connection are working fine, but when I checked for Integrity, Parse Object and Cardinality I was getting some Object error and cardinality error, which am trying to resolve, so I think am having a wrong version of the Activity Universe.

I have a stored procedure named windog_ReadSpecifications in a database called AssetDB and schema dbo, one of my users is getting the following errors when she try's to use a program which executes the stored procedure
"Error description:COM error message: [Microsoft][ODBC SQL Server Driver][SQL Server]The EXECUTE permission was denied on the object 'windog_ReadSpecifications', database 'AssetDB', schema 'dbo'."
I am not sure why she is getting this error because she is a user who has all permissions required to execute the stored procedure . Any help on how to approach this is highly appreciated.

Empty result means: No effective permissions. Have you checked it the right way with:

ODBC SQL Server Driver

I’m new to this forum, so probably this question is
asked several times, but maybe someone might help me to locate the
right answer or give me some direction.
I’m working with Dreamweaver MX 2004 and building a
website. On a remote server I’ve MS SQL Server 2005 running.
After building a recordset and making the right connection
with the SQL database I receive an error message: [Microsoft][ODBC
SQL Server Driver][SQL Server]Login failed user
‘SERVER-001\Gast’.
The server is recognised as SERVER-001, I don’t now how
Dreamweaver comes up with “Gast” which means Guest.
I really appreciate any help to get my ASP page running and
connecting with the SQL Database.
By the way I’m working with VB in Dreamweaver. And I
succeeded previous ASP pages but then connecting to Access Dbase.
Maybe the Server or ISS is not correctly configured, I don’t
know for now.

My colleague is telling me that connecting to another database on that same virtual machine is working fine. He doesn't see difference between OBDC DSN for working and not working databases and he doesn't see differences between schema for that particular
table.
Could it be something in the database properties that would explain this weird behavior? Any more ideas?

An online game I host uses ODBC and SQL.
I'm using SQL Server Management Studio 2012.
I had two errors suddenly appear.

and
[Microsoft][ODBC SQL Server Driver][SQL Server]Unclosed quotation mark after the string ".
Can anyone explain what these are and how I can fix them please.

Hello Zath,
"Unclosed quotation mark after the string" means there is a Quotation mark missing, like in this query at the end:

But without knowing your queries it's difficult to say, where & why this occurs.
