How to compare data from 2 different time periods

Hi folks,
I have a question on approach to a problem. I want to be able to compare data from a common db, but for 2 different time periods. For example I want to see the number of occurences of an instance in my data for today and compare it against occurences a week ago today. What's the best approach for this kind of problem? Is this done with 2 separate queries from 2 sub reports and then compared some how? Any comments on this approach or an other are appreciated.

Follow these steps:
1) Bring your first time period in your main report. This will be your first query.
2) Bring your second time period in a subreport. This will be your second query.
3) Bring the values from your subreport into your main report using shared variables.
4) Lastly, compare the results using formulas in your main report.

How to insert data from different internal table into a data base table

hi all,
I want to insert a particular field in an internal table to a field in a data base table.Note that the fields in the internal table and database table are not of the same name since i need to insert data from different internal tables.can some one tell me how to do this?
in short i want to do something like the foll:

How to compute data from different data sources?

All we are doing with data is from one single datasoure, which could be from oracle or sql server or a excel table, the issue is how could we combine these data from different data source with SQL?
Example: i need some data from Sale Table in Excel and some data from Custumer Table in oracle, how could SQL complete this mission? Solutions are welcomed and appreciated.

How to combine data from different input forms outside a nested iView

Hi,
i try to combine data from different input forms in a single one.
Because of space reasons in Flex compiling i already use nested iViews. Within these nested iViews its possible to use the 'combine' function to do this.
But in the main iView I cant compose these function with other elements. I need to do this because of using these model in Guided Procedures with output parameters. These parameters I only get with a 'endPoint'. Unfortunatly its not possible to combine data from different input forms into the 'endPoint'.
Is there any solution?

Hi Scott,
i tried this already and i also tried to map all parameters in the endpoint by drawing lines from the other forms and assign the 'empty parameters' by a formula.
And when i create a collable object in GP and assign the VC iView, only the parameters of the parent-form (the form who trigger the event) are shown as output-parameters.
Maybe any other ideas? I cant believe that such a simple thing is not possible?!?!
In my opinion, thats a bug, that I'am not able to use the combine-operator in the main VC-iView. Whats your mind?

How to "join" data from different SyncBO's within MAM?

Hi,
Have anyone tried "joining" the data from different SyncBO's into one in a custom MAM application? For example, the SyncBO MAM30_30 (Functional Location) has references to MAM30_016 (Catalog + Code Groups). Is there an easy way to display all of the related information together, instead of first looping through objects from MAM30_030, then for each individual object, loop through a list of MAM30_016?
Basically, the application that we're working with has 3000+ Functional Locations, so we are looking for a way to join the data and display them as one object to improve performance.

Thanks Norbert. Unfortunately, we cannot create new Syncbo's, as we have limited access to that R/3 backend.
Basically, what we want to do is customize the MAM bit so that it can display the Tech Obj List with all its codes and children item syncbo's, instead of having the user click on the link to see more info. We would like to do this without having to loop through the child sync bo's.

How to fetch data from different sources into one source (like into Ztable)

hi friends,
As per our client requirements they want to develope an Inventory and an Ontime delivery report in BO on top of Oracle database.
Situation is some thing like they have ECC 6.0.and they want to collect all inventory and ontime delivery data at one place.According to me that could be one Ztable in which we can gather all data.Apart from that they are going to use Data Integrator in which they can directly fetch the data from R/3 system(They dont want to have BI system) and put all data in Oracle DB.On top of ORacle BO person can develop BO reports.
My question is how to fetch all data at one place and what are the tables going to be use.
kindly help me out as its very important project.

The following is my standard reply to those who need to get old data from a backup in one account and add it to another account. The method described here may be applied to your case. It would be a bit of a long process, though.
When connected to the account you want to GET data from, Go to Settings>iCloud and turn all data that is syncing with iCloud (contacts, calendars, etc.) to Off.
When prompted choose to keep the data on the iPhone.
After everything is turned off, scroll to the bottom and tap Delete Account. Next, set up a new iCloud account using a different Apple ID and turn iCloud data syncing for contacts, etc. back to On. When prompted, choose Merge. This will upload the data to this new account.
Note that this only affects the "Apple data" like contacts, calendars, reminders, etc. Many third party apps also use iCloud to store data files there. These files may be lost in the process, unless the apps also keep the data locally on the device.
NOTE: Photos in the photo stream (if you use it) will not transfer to the new account. It is advised that you save the photos to a computer before performing the account switch.

How to restore data from my Time Capsule onto my new hard drive

My Macbook's hard drive had to be changed, and I'm trying to restore files from my Time Capsule onto my new hard drive, but all I see are three sparsebundle files (one for each Mac we have at home, including my computer/old hard drive). From that point I don't know what else to do. If I click on it, it opens a dialogue that says "opening volumes" and it stays on that for a while.
Does anyone know how to restore data backed up in my Time Machine from previous backups onto a new hard drive? Does it have to do with these sparsebundle files? Or, is there another way?

How to append data from different import files?

Dear experts,
The customer is having different applications running that will output imports files BPC needs at a different time of process. Is it possible to append data which already exist in BPC from import?
eg. BPC already has a record
Factory1, Actual, 2008.OCT, Movement1, 30
import file-
Factory1, Actual, 2008.OCT, Movement1, 100
and I need to add them up to become 130.
Looks like regular import will only replace the original record by the new imported value. I'm still trying...

I do not think there is a way to use a standard import package to perform this action. Typically when you are importing, you are saying this is the new value. Not increment/decrement the value.
I have never had to implement a solution for a problem like this. However, I would write a custom SSIS package that would extract the BPC data for the same dimensionality being imported and append it with the import file, then import the combined file. Values sharing the same dimensionality in the same import file are aggregated on the actual import.
SO your input file has 30, the export gets 100, the combined file has both and the actual value imported would be 130.
That would be the approach I would take, but others might have more experience in different areas.

How to Select Data from different Tables Using Linq

I have two different tables, I just want to collect data from tables using Linq to SQL Queries.
The tables looks like This

Other Table is
ID EmpID CheckInTime CheckOutTime
What I want to Collect data from CheckInTime and want to place it in a that is in a list view
Same thing I want to do it for CheckOutTime And One thing I want to tell is both tables are joined by a FK EmpID with ID.
What Are the suggestions for me

Kind of Tables, I don't Know but I can Tell you that these are Two table, first Table Have Data in It, Name, ImageUrl I have filled this table with names and ImageUrls And are string type.Other Table is for the CheckInTime And CheckOutTime of the employee.
What I need that when I click on the Image button it Should displays The Current Datetime into the label below the Image button.
So I have Problem accessing my CheckInCheckOut Table because I may not have Idea about.Did you understand what I need to do, if you have more question please ask to me.

Newbie: how to pull data from different data bases to a central location

I have no experience at all in Oracle; just in MySQL, PostgreSQL, Firebird for simple applications. I have this project where my Client wants to extract data from related 5 tables, from 12 databases in different locations. Table structure in all 12 locations are the same, and I need to consolidate information for reporting purposes. I was planning in developing a Delphi application for this purpose, yet maybe with pure Oracle SQL or Oracle tools can I automate this?

Please clarify your term "database".Instance of an Oracle database, one in each of the 12 locations.
Are the computers in all these locations available via Internet?My client can see all 12 databases from an Oracle database manager; I still have to investigate if its through Internet or private WAN.
What RDBMS are all these data sources?I have yet to verify the precise Oracle version, yet I know its an old one: 7 or 9. Will confirm it.
What flavor of RDBMS is the target data repository?Same as previous question
Is this a 1 shot data load or an ongoing requirement to consolidate "new" data into repository?The require to pull data automatically, maybe a batch process done by night.

How to load data from different database

My problem is how to load Foxpro 2.6/clipper data into oracle 8 with all its structure and data with SQL loader or other utility if any.
And also how can i integrate existing forpro system into Oracle. i.e client will work on Foxpro application and we will only take its output(data files) on daily basis and convert it into Oracle 8.
Please find any solution.

You can also try to make up an ODBC connection to Foxpro and convert the data from foxpro to oracle using the COPY command (see docs on PL/SQL & OCA). I remember that foxpro/clipper are running on MS-DOS, so I don't know if you can establish an ODBC connection to oracle which can be used from the foxpro/clipper application to use it as a frontend for an oracle database.

Hi, I would like to ask about how to capture data from real time loop.

Here is some overvier of my project:
I have done real time control using labview 9.0. I used PID controller.
In order to optimise this controller, I need to capture data from my sensor(input) and actuator (output).
1. For example while real time control is running. I need to capture 1000 sample data (sensor(input) and actuator (output)).
Then I will used these data for PID optimisation on the other loop without intefere my real time loop.
2. When PID optimisation is completed, I will sent its PID parameter to real time control loop.
3. These operation is done in parallel.
Anybody can help me to solve these. Your idea may solve my problem.

Typically you will have to use RT FIFO or Queue communication to avoid any impact to your time critical loop.

Even iam not sure about it but after looking at your query even i have done some research and got some information for you.
nventory Turnover is a prominent KPI in a lot of businesses. This post will give you some understanding on the concept. In another post I will give details on how the SAP report MC44 can be used to measure inventory turns and what data is used to calculate this ratio.
Formula
Inventory Turnover = Cost of Goods Sold (COGS) / Average Inventory at value
If you are not familiar with the term Cost of Goods Sold, this is the cost of your revenues.
Average Inventory is measured in value and not in volume.
If you divide both elements you know how often you sold youu2019re average inventory. u201CSo what?u201D you ask. I will explain next.
Concept and use
I will present you with two business scenariou2019s to point out the significance of the Inventory Turnover ratio.
Scenario 1
You sell one product. You invest 10.000 EUR as starting stock. You run your business for one year and at then end of the year you are completely sold out. Your revenue accumulates to 12.500 EUR. For simplicity sake your gross profit is 2.500 EUR (12.500 u2013 10.000).
Revenue = 12.500
COGS = 10.000
Average Inventory = 5.000 (10.000 starting stock + 0 end stock / 2 = 5.000 average stock)
Inventory Turnover = 2 (10.000 / 5.000)
ROI = 50% > 2.500 (R-C) earned out of 5.000 (A)
Scenario 2
Again you sell one product. But this time you invest 5.000 EUR in starting stock. After 6 months you sold your stock and you replenish your stock again for 5.000 EUR. After another 6 months youu2019re sold out. Your revenue is again 12.500 EUR. Your gross profit is 2.500 EUR (12.500 u2013 5000 u2013 5000).
Revenue = 12.500
COGS = 10.000
Average Inventory = 2.500 (5.000 starting stock + 0 end stock / 2 = 2.500 average stock)
Inventory Turnover = 4 (10.000 / 2.500)
ROI = 100% > 2.500 (R-C) earned out of 2.500 (A)
