How to connect ovs to a network?
hi, you all.
I've installed a oracle vm server with one physical interface.
I configured the ip:
192.168.1.240/24 and gw 192.168.1.1
but I cant connect to other computer on my network, always appear to be bond0 interface.
Can someone help?
Hi,
by default Oracle VM use the bond0 to the first interface configured, this is an advantage (used for fault tolerant network).
So the bond0 is not a problem.
and to solve your problem verify that your server is connected to the gateway (physically) and also verify your configuration that should looks like:
- /etc/sysconfig/network-scripts/ifcfg-bond0
DEVICE=bond0
BOOTPROTO=none
ONBOOT=yes
IPADDR=192.168.1.240
NETMASK=255.255.255.0
NETWORK=192.168.1.0
BONDING_OPTS="mode=0 miimon=250 use_carrier=1 updelay=500 downdelay=500 primary=eth0"
- /etc/sysconfig/network-scripts/ifcfg-eth0
#This file was dynamically created by OVM manager. Please Do not edit
DEVICE=eth0
BOOTPROTO=none
HWADDR=XX:XX:XX:XX:XX:XX
ONBOOT=yes
MASTER=bond0
SLAVE=yes
- /etc/sysconfig/network
NETWORKING=yes
NETWORKING_IPV6=no
HOSTNAME=YYYYYYYYY
GATEWAY=192.168..1.1
I hope this can help you
Best Regards

How to connect to my printers network /wi/Fi
I don't know how to connect my Windows 8 device to my Envy 4502 printers network ? What is my printers SECURITY KEY ?
Hi envy-4502, welcome to the HP Forums. The printer's network is created by turning on Wireless Direct. Wireless Direct can be set with or without a security key. If security is on, the key can be accessed from the front of your printer.
See "Step one: Turn on HP wireless direct " in this document for details: Printing with HP Wireless Direct
I hope this helps.

How to connect to a wireless network on a i mac g4
After I installed the airport card I restarted my router, I noticed other networks except for mines appeared. Any suggestions on what to do to access my wireless network?
Have you ever configured the network yourself (in terms of changing the network name/password, etc), or is it the same settings that Comcast created? You will need to find out the wifi speed and security before you can determine if it's compatible with your Airport card.
Sometimes the encryption type is written on a sticker on the router itself.
Often you can log into the router yourself, even with an ISP-managed router, and look at the settings. Do you have any other computers connected to the wireless network? Try to determine their local IP address, and that should tell you the router address. (e.g. on a Mac, go to System Preferences - Network). You would log into your router using http://192.168.1.1, for example, if that's the address.

How to connect non-Apple wireless networks?
Hello
Before I start, I know very little about networking, so could do with some assistance please!
In my office, I have a MacPro, fitted with an airport extreme. I also have a TL-WR1043ND Wireless N Gigabit Router, which I have connected to a ReadyNas NV+.
In my house, I use my MacBook Pro connected wirelessly. The internet is accessed via a TP-Link TD-W8961ND 300Mbps Wireless N ADSL2+ Modem Router.
Both the MacPro and the MacBook Pro connect to the internet cia the TD-W8961ND. The TL-WR1043ND resides on a separate wireless network. The idea is that I can access and store data wirelessly using the ReadyNas (which incidentally has become an issue since upgrading to Lion).
The NAS needs to be kept in my office so it is secure and there is no direct telephone link to the office.
Cutting a long story short, I'd like to make the two networks into one, so I was wondering if I could use the TL-WR1043ND as some sort of wireless access point (connected to the NAS) and joining it to the wireless network of the W8961 ADSL2 router.
I don't know how to do this, so was wondering if somebody could help and perhaps guide me through some of the settings? I've searched the interweb abyss, without any joy.
All the best
HoffmeisterAs you can imagine, this forum is primarily for assistance with Apple networking so it may be a bit difficult to really be able to provide you with a step-by-step on how to configure both of these routers for Wireless Distribution System (WDS).
I did a bit of research and found the following TP-Link Support article that describes how to do this with a pair of their TD-W8960N routers and it may be worth reviewing to see if it can help you with yours. -

How to connect a home Ethernet network and Time Machine?
My home is wired for Ethernet, but I cannot figure out how to make it active.
Currently I have my cable modem connected to a Time Machine. Then, the Time Machine is connected to the Ethernet lines that run through my house. If I try to connect my laptop to one of the Ethernet jacks in the house, it does not work. I can however connect the laptop to the Time Machine directly with no issues.
Any ideas on what I may be missing?
Thank you.The Time Capsule is indeed a wireless router, also having three Ethernet ports. So it should be capable of handling up to three devices connecting via Ethernet and routing them to the Internet through your cable modem which should be connected to the WAN port on the Time Capsule.
Again, if you connect a computer directly to one of the Ethernet ports in the Time Capsule and it works to get you to the Internet, but you then connect one of the in-wall Ethernet lines to that same port in the Time Capsule and connect the same computer using the same patch cable to the other end of the in-wall Ethernet line and it doesn't work, then the in-wall cabling is bad. -
[connman] How to connect to 802.1x network
Hello my friends,
there is a 802.1x network at my university and I can´t connect to it.
connmanctl> scan wifi
Scan completed for wifi
connmanctl> services
uni_wlan wifi_xxxxxxxxxxxx_xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx_managed_ieee8021x
connmanctl> agent on
Agent registered
connmanctl> connect wifi_xxxxxxxxxxxx_xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx_managed_ieee8021x
Error /net/connman/service/wifi_xxxxxxxxxxxx_xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx_managed_ieee8021x: Invalid arguments
What could I do?Hm... My best guess is that you spelled wifi_x_x_managed_ieee8021x wrong. Thats the the same error I got when I spelled it wrong. AFAIK, it must be typed in correct case too. Other than that, there may be something in the wiki here: Connman, connecting to a protected access point
It could also potentially be connman timing out, as per this github article. Although the article is for the raspberry pi, it should still be applicable to connman in general.
Have a look and let us know if you still cannot connect.

HP Officejet Pro 8600 - Trying to connect to wrong wireless network.
I have cable wireless and due to provider requirements I have had to disable my hub wireless and plus in another router to the hub to provide wireless. The hub has a network name and the router has the same name but shows a "2" after it. When I try and connect my printer to this itonly picks up the Hub and says wireless is disabled which is correct. How can I get it to recognise the router instead?
I hope this makes senseHi Pushoz,

How to-Connect to Openfiler NAS ?
How to-Connect to Openfiler NAS (Network Attached Storage)?
I have enabled SMB/CIFS, NFSv3 and WebDAV.
Current Share is Open250 (/mnt/open250/)
I can connect through my web browser as the admin. Just need help connecting through the Finder.
I've tried to connect by:
• browsing (Network in Finder)
• Keying the IP in Connect ot Server (w and w/o smb://)The Openfiler setup requires another computer to host the user account data (ldap). I wanted a simple solution for a home network. I now went to FreeNAS and this has worked beautifully.
Now just waiting for iTV to be released then I'm good to go. -
I have tried everything to connect my acer to a wirless network. Does anyone know how to connect to a wirless network?
Did you already try to reset the router?
Did you reset the iPod by holding the sleep and home button until the Apple logo comes back again?
Did you reset the network settings on your iPod in Settings/General/Reset?
More tips here: iOS: Troubleshooting Wi-Fi networks and connections -
Like the subject line says, I installed the 6.0.2. update with my fingers crossed, but my iPhone 5 still doesn't connect to certain networks. Of course, Apple in their "Troubleshooter" sends me to an article telling me how to connect to a WiFi network, and to reset Network settings (which I've done numerous times).
This happens in a local coffee shop, and one odd thing is that the owner thinks he has his router set to require a password, but none of my devices show it to be a secured network (though it was and did require a password when I initially joined the network).
Any help would be greatly appreciated.We have the same problem here at the university campus. See my post

We hope that Apple will release a fixed iOS 6-Version soon. -
How to connect a Sony Bravia TV to the internet through your Airport network
Since it took me a lot of time to figure out how to connect my Sony Bravia TV to the internet through my Airport network, I better share how to do it. Hopefully saving others a lot of time.
My 32EX600 Sony Bravia TV is Ethernet connected to my Mac Mini, which is part of my Airport network, together with another Mac, an Airport Extreme Base Station and an ADSL modem/router. Moreover, the Mac Mini is connected to the TV by HDMI.
Whatever I tried in the TV’s Wired Network Set-up (Auto, or Manual with manual IP, Subnet Mask, Default Gateway and DNS IPs), I couldn’t get it right. Cable Connection and Local Access were mostly OK, Internet Access always Failed.
The solution lies in the Sharing panel of the System Preferences of the Mac Mini. In the Internet Sharing item of that panel, you should choose to “share your internet connection from WiFi to computers (the TV in this case) using Ethernet“, and NOT (as I had chosen before and seemed so obvious) “share your internet connection from Airport to computers using Ethernet“. After that change, the Bravia Network Set-up, using the Wired and Auto options, flawlessly connected to the internet. No expensive (Sony) WiFi USB dongle needed.I have now had a detailed reply from Sony Europe and the way to do this is to:
1. Press Home on the TV Setup
2. Use the right and left arrow to select Setting.
3. Use the up and down to select Network, press Enter.
4. Select Network Setup.
5. Select Wireless setup.
6. Select Scan
7. Select your network
8. A new screen will appear asking for entering the security key.
9. Enter your WPA2 key.
10. Select Enter.
11. It will take you back to the same screen asking for entering the
security key.
12. Press the right arrow.
13. Select Auto.
14. Press the right arrow.
15. Select Save and connect.
These instructions are not the same as shown on the TV but they worked fine for me so they may help others with a similar problem. -
How to connect old aiport express to my new Airport Extreme?
I have a PC running with Win7 and just replaced my Jensen With a brand New Airport Extreme.
I have set up the Airport Extreme to the internet, Iphones and Ipads and it work as it should.
I have downloaded latest Version of Airport tool on my PC. In addition i have downloaded the airport tool for Ipad.
I have reset one of my airport Express and it now shows up both on the Ipad and on the PC airport tool.
My Ipad says "base station e5713b cannot be configured."
I have wired the airport Express to my Ethernet to be able to "see it" on my Airport tool.
My AirPort tool on the PC will not permit me to add the airport Express to my new Airport Extreme network (no network names on the drop-down list to choose from). I wished for an easy set-up, but nothing seems to be plug and play as the Commercial says.. can you please help me?
SigveHi
Thanks for Swift reply.
Yep - I in fact have two A1088 and one A1264
I actually bought the new router because the Jensen
router always lost connection to the Airport Express after some hours or days. I
always needed to restart my Jensen to play music and that was driving my wife
mad. The hope was that the Extreme should fix this. Both A1088 have been set up
to only stream music to two of my stereo amplifiers from my PC’s Itunes library.
Are the A1088 now useless?
The A1264 has been set up to feed internet into a Denon Reciever that needed Ethernet cable.
Please advise

How to Connect My Printer to The Network
My printer is LaserJet M1212nf. According to the brief introduction I should connect the printer to the network first in order to enable its e-printing function. I'm working at home. I don't share information with other computers. Does "network" mean my home internet? Do I need to use either a cable or a USB to connect it to the home internet? Or is there another way? Once it is connected, how can I get an email address from HP for my printer?
Hi,
Your printer can be connected to your network to print but it's not an ePrint printer:
http://www.shopping.hp.com/shopping/pdf/ce841a.pdf
It has a LAN card, you can connect it to your network and print wirelessly (note: print wirelessly and ePrint are two different things).
