How to control Order/Target Quantity with reference to Contract Quantity

Hello GURUs,
In my current organization, there is one scenario in which i have to control target quantity in sales contract e.g., i have created sales contract of 100 MT (contract no : 123), and with reference to that contract i have created another contract for say 100 MT (contract no : 456), after that i have changed quantity (of contract no 456) to 150 from original quantity 100. In this case system allows to do so, which is not correct, and i want same to be control based original contract quantity.
Is there any solution in standard system to control the same? If there is any then pleas let me know.
Thanks,
Pratik

Hello,
Let me clarify your requirement:
You have created Contract no. 456 (100 MT) with reference to another Contract No. 123 (100 MT).
Now you want that system should not allow to change quantity in Contract no. 456 & keep it as it is (100 MT) in Original Contract No. 123.
Now, if the above requirment is from Sales Order created with reference to Contract then it can be easily don thru Item Category Controls.
But as the second COntract (456) is entirely a new Contract with it own contral parameters (validity dates, etc) system will allow you to change Quantity & other feilds).
You requirment is not standard & will have be achieved thru applying a User Exit. Speak to your ABAPer & he would do the needful .
Hope this helps,
Thanks,

  • Create a Sales Order with Reference to Contract using IDoc / LSMW  ( AFS )

    Hi Gurus,
I need to crate a Sales Order with reference to a Contract. I need to upload Sales Orders with reference to contract via LSMW.
So far, I've been able to create the Sales Order with ref to contract. But, the Sales Order Quantity is not getting deducted from the Original Qty in Referred Contract ( When try to create another Sales Order referring to the same Contract.) When a Sales Order is created manually, this is working fine.
Please tell me if I've missed some parameter which stopping it create the link to exact schedule line ( Sizes level )
    The Details of the IDoc which is been created via LSMW are as follows;
    Message Type: ORDERS
    Basic Type     : /AFS/ORDERS05
Process Code : ORDE / DELO
( Tried with both process codes.  But the Identification is the same for both: IDOC_INPUT_ORDERS )
    *_In Header;_
Segment : E1EDK02  - IDoc: Document header reference data *
    Qualifier : '043' - Vendor Contract Number ( Tried with ' 005' - Customer Contract, but it's not working )
Contract Order is mapped for field BELNR
    *_In Item;_
Segment : E1EDP02  - IDoc: Document Item Reference Data *
    Qualifier : '043' - Vendor Contract Number ( Tried with ' 005' - Customer Contract, but it's not working )
Contract Order is mapped to field BELNR
Line Item of the Contract is mapped to field ZEILE
I also tried passing the Schedule line of Contract in Segment :  E1J3P01 AFS IDoc: Doc.item general data
    to following fields;
    J_3AETENV
    J_3AVGETE
    /AFS/UETENR
Still its not getting updated in the VBEP also..
Please help me with regard to this. Points will be awarded for your valuable contribution.
    Thanks.

    Hi,

    Once the below mentioned configurations were done on SPRO, the Sales Order was created with reference to Contract and the Qty was reflected when tried to create a new Order referring the same contract.;
u2022     SPRO --> SD  -->Sales  --> Sales Documents  --> Sales Document Header  --> Define Sales Document Types  --> Field : Outline agreement message; from blank to u201CBu201D.

  • Sales order with reference to contract using IDOC_INPUT_ORDERS

    Hi all,
I had the requirement to create sales order with reference to contract based on some validations of idoc values and then passing the modified idoc data table to IDOC_INPUT_ORDERS. I have completed the coding till the modification of data in a new function module ('Z') and then calling the IDOC_INPUT_ORDERS FM inside that. Now my problem is while creating the sales order, the bdc for Txn VA01 is not populating those values to screen fields which I want to populate. I could find out that some modifs needs to be done in some user exit for reference to contract case. But finding difficulty in getting the exact place to make the modifications. Any pointer to this problem would be highly appreciated.

  • How to create item wise invoice with reference to sales order.

    Hi ,
Please let me know how to create item wise invoice with reference to sales order.
Ex : Sales order has 2 line items .
When creating invoice system should create two invoices for each line items.
I have tried with copy control but I am not able to do it.
    Please advise.
    Regards

    Hi,
Please let us know your exact requirement. Whether you want it to be fixed like only one line item to be billed every time ot it to be based on selection you do every time.
As per my understanding it should not be fixed and in that case it should like as follows,
In VF01 you will select Del. document/S.O. number and click on selection list and will take you to next screen as mention below,
and select desire line item to be billed and click on copy and will take you to billing screen.

  • Doubt in creating a sales order with reference to contract

    Hi all,
when I create the sales order with reference to contract, in the table VBFA, the field PLMIN is set to zero some times and set to '+' some times. May I know whats the functionality behind this. Any pointers on this will be helpful.
    Regards,
    A.Rathinaprakash

    Hello A.Rathinaprakash,
This is an Indicator which indicates the quantity or value in the target document(means Sales order) has a negative effect, positive effect, or no effect at all on the quantity still to be completed in the source document(means contract).
    Example from the Help file..
In sales documents, for example, you can expect the following results:
Quotation   -> Sales order: positive effect
    Contract    -> Return: negative effect
Sales order -> Sales order: no effect
In billing documents, for example, you can expect the following results:
    Delivery    -> Invoice: positive effect
    Delivery    -> Cancellation: negative effect
Delivery    -> Pro-forma invoice: no effect
    Hope it helps..

  • Create order by VA01 with reference

    Hello Experts,
we use different one-time-customers for our retail store. Now we want to create credits/returns with reference to these POS-invoices.
The problem is that when you create "normal" orders there is a pop-up window to enter the adress data. But if you create those returns with the VA01 in reference to those POS-invoices there is a) no pop-up window and b) if you enter the adress data they were adopted to the master data and all following returns get the same adress....
We installed different SAP-OSS-information yet to interupt b).
I also achieved that a pop-up window occurs when the VA01 (with reference) is processed. But I am not sure if there are other problems. The tables and structures appear normal and the credits/returns don`t make any problems...
Did anyone of you installed a similar exit program already???
    Thanks for your help!!!
    Alexander

    Dear VT,
This you control through maintaining settings in the field Reference mandatory under General Control tab of the sales document type detail screen. But reference options are
A -With reference to an inquiry
B -With reference to a quotation
C -With reference to a sales order
    E -Scheduling agreement reference
G -With reference to a quantity contract
    M -With ref.to billing document
Go to VOV8 transaction then select your document type go in to the details here you maintain one this option in the Reference mandatory field as per your requirement.
I hope this will help you,
    Regards,
    Murali.

  • Error while posting a sales order created with reference from contract for

    Hi,
I am posting a sales document( Type: WA)  created with reference from contract document(  type wk2) for delivery.  The item category in the sales order of the Item is WAN. On posting this document for delivery I am getting the error as "Item category WAN is not defined".  Please help me out how to resolve this issue.
    Thanks
    Jayant

    Hi Jayant,
I think its value contract releated error,
You suppose to check material item category group through T.code-MM02 into sales2 tab and maintain VCIT,
and do item category assignment through T.code- VOV4.
    plz.maintain like that,
    WK2 -          -VCIT-         -           - WAN(contract item category),
    wk2  -          -        -VCTR-          - WAN((contract item category),
you should also maintain same against your standard Sales Document type and for Standard Item category into VOV4,
    WA(standard docu.type) -VCIT-                             -                -TAN(your standard docu.type item category),
    WA(standard docu.type) -         -VCTR(item usage)-              -TAN(your standard docu.type item category),

  • Problem in Sales Order Creation with reference to Contract

    Hi All,
We had enhanced Contracts (VA41) by adding fields thru append structures in VBAP and the same is provided in the "Additional Data B" tab at the item level.
The Z fields are populated with data and gets saved along with the contracts line items.
But when a sale order is created with reference to a contract, the data in the Z fields (maintained in Append Structures) of the contract are not getting copied to the line item of Sales orders.
Should a routine be necessarily written for copying Z fields from contract to Sales orders or Copy control must be set up for Z fields separately?
Any info on this would help.
    Thanks,
    K.V.Venkatasubramanian

    Hi VJ,
The copying from Contract to Orders worked. I copied the standard routine (151) in data transfers and added the code to transfer Z fields from work area CVBAP to work area VBAP and attached the same in the copy control. It works!!!
    Thanks for the help VJ.
    Cheers,
    Venkat

  • Sales Order Created with reference to Contract - Exchange rate Issue

  • Variant Matching  during Creation of Sales Order with reference to Contract

    Hi All,
    I have a following scenario. Sales Contract is created on a Configurable Material ' A' and its has a Material Variant "B" with following Charac Values X = X1, Y= Y1 & Z=Z1.
The value of Z= Z1 is set using a Procedure when Sales Document Type = OR ( This is the Document type For sales Order). So, this means variant matching will finally happen at Sales Order creation level, coz all the three reqd. charc. are availabe  at that time. This is also our reqmt.
But, now what is happening, a Sales Contract is created for Material A, with Charc values X = X1 & Y= Y1. When a sales order is created with reference to this Contract, immediately during Copying of selected item, Variant Matching gets triggered & Material A is replaced by Material Variant B. Even we dont get into the Configuration Window.
Actually, during copying itself Object Depencies are called and thats leading to variant Matching.
Our requirement is that, it should not get triggered at such early stage. It should happen when Config. window is clicked.
Kindly help. Copy Control of Sales Doc has setting 'No Control' We are in ECC 6.0. Are there some other settigs too.

  • Creation of orders using allocation table with reference to contract

    Hi
I am creating the follow on documents (ie vendor orders) from allocation table display, for an allocation that was created with reference to a quantity contract. I have changed the message 06 078 to an error, and the system is returning an error saying the quantity will exceed the contract quantity, even though the quantity is less than the contract quantity and there are no other releases against that contract. If I create the order manually against the contract (ie not through the follow on docs in allocation table display) the order is created correctly.
The program appears to loop and take into account my order quantity 4 times and return that quantity as the exceeded quantity. ie PO item quantity for 10, will say quantity will be exceeded by 40.
    Any ideas?

  • Create an order using BAPI with reference to another one.

    Hi everybody,
I'm trying to create a new sales order with reference to another one (That's important because of the documents flow).
I'm using 'BAPI_SALESORDER_CREATEFROMDAT2' but I couldn´t do it yet. I've read some ideas about this kind of creation in this forum; but I still haven´t found the solution yet.
Some ideas about the BAPI parameters I nedd to complete?
    Thanks in advance!!

    Hi,
Are you sure you can create a sales order with reference to ANOTHER sales order? The reason I ask is that in the front end, sales orders are created with reference to either quotations or contracts. There are settings known as "copying control" that need to be maintained for this to show up as document flow.
We have been working on a BAPI to create a sales order, but that is without reference to another document, and it works fine.
    Could you please elaborate?
    Cheers.

there is no standard report to get the PO list wrf to contracts,
