How to create parameter: =Today() minus some number of days

SSRS 2005 on XP SP2
How does one format a date time parameter as, for example, today's date minus 7? Attempting to use:
=Today() - 7 throws the error "Operator '-' is not defined for types 'Date' and 'Integer'

Note that an internal reference to another paramer yields same result. For example, datasource is an SP with a BETWEEN operator. An internal report reference to the other parameter (=Parameters!StartDate - 7) throws same error.

In RMAN
copy current controlfile to '/u03/oradata/WEBDB/backup/cf_longterm.cpy';
how can I put date at the end of filename like
initWEBDB8jan06.ora and cf_longterm8jan06.cpy

ASM is reliable but a smart DBA is very careful. If ASM is doing mirroring this is like RAID doing mirroring. What happens if you accidentally delete one copy ... the other one disappears instantly. Not a good idea.
With respect to redo logs you need a minimum of three groups, two members, and one thread per instance. So a 2 node cluster should, at a minimum have 12 physical files.
Not mirroring the redo logs, assuming multiple members, is not as critical.

Just use the big numerals as text boxes and pour text into them.
Be aware thought that text boxes can not be compound paths so you will have to make some special arrangements for 4, 6, 8, 9 and 0.
Either Text Wrap or slice the numerals into smaller abutting text boxes. I suggest that the latter will be easier.
Once you’ve done the job the first time it will be easy to do a repaet with new text.

How to get planned % complete based on number of days

Hello:
I a trying to figure out a way(best way) to determine a "planned % complete" simply based on the number of days in a task.
For example:
Task Start Date = 3/1/15
Task Finish Date = 3/20/15
So the task is 20 days long
Today is 3/10/15 so "planned % complete" should be 50%
(Today-Start) / (Finish-Start)
=
((3/10/15)-(3/1/15)) / ((3/20/15)-(3/1/15))
=
(10) / (20)
=
50%
Do I just enter this into a custom field as a formula or is there a better way of doing this?
Also, when I tried to do this with a formula, it did not apply to the roll up tasks. So, the bolded tasks were blank.
I am trying to get to a calculated number of the % I should be completed based on the current date and length of the task. I realize this might not be the best way so any
suggestions are greatly appreciated.
I would like to be able to look at my project and see that I am 35% complete, but I should be 50%.
Any guidance is greatly appreciated.
I am using MS Project 2010.

You are typically asking for Earned Value indicators. You could of course use the kind of formula you are refering to, but have in mind that MS Project proposes by default a large number of EV fields, such as CPI, SPI and all variance fields. Although it
requires a certain maturity in scheduling (cost, baselines, status date, tracking), it will provide you a large set of EV indicators out of the box.

Is it possible to create an absence on a non working day or holiday? I tried to do so and I get all these information messages, until it finally saves. But it wont accept any number of Absence hours. Is there a way to allow it to accept 10 hours of absence for a holiday?

I think you have got 2 possibilites.
you have to change the absence definitions for entering on free-days
table: V_T554S
are you using TM?
if yes, you can change in a rule the working hours.
or second solution would be changing T556C for this absence. also and this i have not tested changing the day type.

Wow, I'm so stumped. I tried to copy a bit of formcalc into the exit event for my current date field to try to make this happen, but I can't get it to work.

I have one globl .jspx page and in its center facet, I am loading my each screen's .jsff page.
Now I want to create global toolbar on my .jspx page and when I click on toolbar's add button at that time it should call, currently loaded .jsff (loaded in center facet of .jspx page) backing bean's add method.
How can I get the instance of currently loaded .jsff backing bean in my toolbar's backing bean and also I need it with its current state( means whatever UI components have values I should be able to get it in my instance).

since page templates don't support method expression arguments there are two options I can imagine
- define a contract between the toolbar buttons and the availability of a managed bean available for the consumer page. If for example each page has a managed bean like <viewId>_toolbar then the Toolbar could reference exposed methods on this bean (which must be consistent)
- Another option is to have the page passing in the EL string to access the iterator to operate on as an attribute of the template you use. Then you create a ValueExpression from it and call it for the button action events that you point to the managed bean you deploy with the template

Thanks for link. My both databases and needed tablespaces meet all the prerequisites, but in Task 3 (Generate a Transportable Tablespace Set) I've read:
2. Make all tablespaces in the set read-only.
It's impossible because applications runs in 24/7/365 mode on production database and next database shutdown planned just for database upgrade.
So, it seems that the only 'hot backup' way for me is to take a Datapump export of tablespaces from production database and then import them to testing environment?
