How to delivery the output to both filesystem and printer using BurstingEng
Hi,
I am using BurstingEngine to delivery the pdf output to filesystem.
I am able to delivery the output to either filesystem or printer, but we need to delivery the ouptut to both filesystem and printer.
the control file i am using is:
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8" ?>
<xapi:requestset xmlns:xapi="http://xmlns.oracle.com/oxp/xapi">
<xapi:request select="/TMP001/LIST_G_ORDER_BY/G_ORDER_BY/LIST_G_INVOICE">
<xapi:delivery>
<xapi:filesystem output="/tmp/${TRX_NUMBER}"></xapi:filesystem>
<xapi:print id="xerox6350-2ne" printer="ipp://localhost:631/printers/xerox6350-2ne" copies="1"/>
</xapi:delivery>
<xapi:document output-type="pdf" delivery="xerox6350-2ne">
<xapi:template type="rtf" location="/u04/app/oracle/product/fdev/fdevcomn/java/oracle/apps/fnd/cp/nsfcus/INVOICE.rtf" />
</xapi:document>
</xapi:request>
</xapi:requestset>
it is giving the following error.
[102506_094844261][oracle.apps.xdo.batch.DeliveryHelper][EXCEPTION] oracle.apps.xdo.delivery.DeliveryException: File does not exist : /tmp/102506_094840769/3.pdf

How to set the correct shared pool size and db_buffer_cache using awr
Hi All,
I want to how to set the correct size for shared_pool_size and db_cache_size using shared pool advisory and buffer pool advisory of awr report. I have paste the shared and buffer pool advisory of awr report.

How to see the Currently loged on user and Locks using Enterpirse manager
Hello Everybody,
I want to see using enterpirse manager
*1.* the currently connected users
*2.* The locks held by users.
How to do this in Enterprise manager?
RegardsHello Asif,
Your and Deepak suggessions do no t show the connected users. Instead If we use the following query,it will give us the names of all users that are currently connected.
SELECT SUBSTR(s.username,1,15) USERNAME,

How to create the instance of a class and to use this object remotely
I have to change a standalone program to do it working on a local net.
the program is prepared for this adjustment, because the only problem for this change came from the use of the database; and, in the application, all the accesses to the database come from only a class that supplies a connection to the database.
In this way I think that I could have (in a local net) a "server application" that has the database embedded inside it.
Furthermore, some client applications (running in different computers of the net) could get access to the database through the connection that comes from an instance of the class that, in the "server application", is made to provide the connection to the database.
I think this could be a good idea...
But I don't have practice with distributed applications and I would ask some suggestion about the way to realize my modification.
(in particular how to get and use, in the "client applications", the instance of the class that give the connection to the database from the "server application").
I would have some help..
thank in advance
regards

You can't pass a connection from a server to a client. Nothing will do that.
As suggested you can create a simple RMI server/client set up. Or use a more feature rich (and much more complex) JEE container.
RMI is simple enough for its own tutorial
[http://java.sun.com/docs/books/tutorial/rmi/index.html]
JEE (previously called J2EE) is much more complex and requires books. You can get a brief overlook from the following

Sun ONE Studio 4 aka Forte: How to set the output path for classes ?
Help !
Beginner's question:
Sun ONE Studio 4 aka Forte:
How to set the output path for classes ?
As default, the class files are created in the same directory as the
sources.
In opposite, both JBuilder and Together support that there is a tree
with the sources and another tree with the classes.
The first answer I got was "not possible with Forte, but just if you write your own "ANT Build script" !
a) Please point me to a ready-to-use ANT script for this purpose, if such is available
b) Is using ANT instead of the MAKE as comfortable ? Besides the separation of sourcecode and classes, I would like to keep everything else to be the same, i.e. I dont want to edit the ANT file if I enlarge the project by directories or files.
Tia
Sincerely
RolfYou can set S1S's options to place newly created .class files in a specific location.
Identify the compiler that is being used - Open the S1S's Tools/Options window, expand Editing and select Java Sources. Note the Default Compiler value. (If it's one if the Ant options, you use Ant to specify this option, not S1S.)
Open the S1S's Tools/Options window, expand Building/Compiler Types and select the appropriate compiler.
The Properties tab of the compiler has the property Target, which sets the filesystem where the compiler output is directed. If you choose <not set>, the .class files are written to their source directory.
When you set the Target, your change affects all classes that use this compiler.
Very few options can't be set in S1S; the challenge is finding out where they're set! -
How to view the output maintained at handling unit level
Hi All,
How to view the output which was maintained at Handling unit level in the delivery.
Say for ex:- If we maintain the out put type LD00 at delivery level, we can view the output for the same in the change mode of outbound delivery.
In the same way how can e view the output which was maintained at handling unit level.
Regards,
Mallesh.Hi,
Go to 'VL02N' transaction code give the Delivery number and from menu Outbound delivery select issue output to. then select the proper output type (already issued) and select the print preview button.
It is just as you see for other output's only.
Reward if it helps.
Thanks

How exactly are you performing 'Analog to Digital'???
Grabbing image using camera OR performing data acquisition using DAQ card OR some other way????
I am not allergic to Kudos, in fact I love Kudos.

How to break the output in a function
Hi All,
I am using oracle Db 10g
I have write a function to get the output of Expire date and pass this function to Alert in oracle.
My Function is Like this
create or replace
function Expiry_alert (P_EXPIRY_DATE date)
return VARCHAR2
IS
lv_return_value varchar2(10000);
cursor c_exp_alt
is
SELECT Distinct c_po_number,c_bg_type,c_guarantee_number,c_expiry_date,c_supplier_name
from xxbgs_bank_guarantee_master
WHERE TRUNC (TO_DATE (C_expiry_date) -15) = TRIM (SYSDATE)
and c_expiry_date= p_expiry_date;
BEGIN
for c_exp_alt_rec in c_exp_alt
loop
lv_return_value:= lv_return_Value||CHR(10)||'Bank Guarantee('||c_exp_alt_rec.C_guarantee_number||','||c_exp_alt_rec.C_BG_TYPE ||','||c_exp_alt_rec.C_po_number||','||c_exp_alt_rec.c_supplier_name ||')'||'is getting expired on'||'('||C_EXP_ALT_REC.C_EXPIRY_DATE||')'||;
end loop;
return(lv_return_value);
exception
when others then
null;
--dbms_output.put_line ('Error:'sqlerrm);
--return(lv_return_value);
END;
When i execute the function using select statement like this
SELECT distinct Expiry_alert(C_EXPIRY_DATE)
FROM xxbgs_bank_guarantee_master
WHERE TRUNC (TO_DATE (C_expiry_date)-15) =
TRIM (SYSDATE)
My output is like this
Bank Guarantee(100012,Parent Company Guarantee,1000,Advantage Corp)is getting expired on(02-MAR-12) Bank Guarantee(123890,Advance Bank Guarantee,1011,Office Supplies, Inc.)is getting expired on(02-MAR-12)
In a single line, But here i have two different Guarantee number so i need two records like this
Bank Guarantee(100012,Parent Company Guarantee,1000,Advantage Corp)is getting expired on(02-MAR-12)
Bank Guarantee(123890,Advance Bank Guarantee,1011,Office Supplies, Inc.)is getting expired on(02-MAR-12)
Can any one pls tell me how to change the function to achieve this.

Seriously? Your function contains an exception handler to mask any and all errors that may occur? WHY?
When i execute the function using select statement like this
SELECT distinct Expiry_alert(C_EXPIRY_DATE)
FROM xxbgs_bank_guarantee_master
WHERE TRUNC (TO_DATE (C_expiry_date)-15) =
TRIM (SYSDATE)

Can any one pls tell me how to change the function to achieve this.Sounds like you need a pipelined function to return multiple rows...
Basic example of pipelined function with multiple columns...
CREATE OR REPLACE TYPE myrec AS OBJECT
( col1 VARCHAR2(10),
col2 VARCHAR2(10)
CREATE OR REPLACE TYPE myrectable AS TABLE OF myrec
CREATE OR REPLACE FUNCTION pipedata(p_str IN VARCHAR2) RETURN myrectable PIPELINED IS
v_str VARCHAR2(4000) := REPLACE(REPLACE(p_str, '('),')');
v_obj myrec := myrec(NULL,NULL);
BEGIN
LOOP
EXIT WHEN v_str IS NULL;
v_obj.col1 := SUBSTR(v_str,1,INSTR(v_str,',')-1);
v_str := SUBSTR(v_str,INSTR(v_str,',')+1);
IF INSTR(v_str,',')>0 THEN
v_obj.col2 := SUBSTR(v_str,1,INSTR(v_str,',')-1);
v_str := SUBSTR(v_str,INSTR(v_str,',')+1);
ELSE
v_obj.col2 := v_str;
v_str := NULL;
END IF;
PIPE ROW (v_obj);
END LOOP;
RETURN;
END;
SQL> select *
2 from table(pipedata('(1,2),(3,4),(5,6)'));
COL1 COL2
1 2
3 4
5 6of course why you need to do this in a function in the first place? Can't you just query the data concatenated as you want it? -
I accidenttly deleted my notes and the icloud cleared all the message from both ipad and iphone ...How can i get it back?? If I can ??
Your notes should be stored in your backup, so if you have backed up the iPad and that backup does contain those notes that you deleted, you can try restoring from your backup. If you haven't backed up the iPad since you created those notes, they are gone.
If you backup with iCloud only, restoring from backup involves erasing the device and then going through the setup all over again and finally restoring from the iCloud backup. This article explains the process quite clearly.
http://gigaom.com/apple/ios-101-set-up-and-restore-from-icloud-backup/
If you backup with iTunes, connect the iPad to your computer, launch iTunes and right click on the device name on the left and select - Restore from Backup. But before you do that .... turn off auto sync in iTunes - without connecting the iPad - launch iTunes and go to Edit>Preferences>Devices and check the box at the bottom of that window in order to turn off auto sync.
Email messages are not stored in your backups. -

How to send the output to PDF format in reports 6i?
Hi,
How to send the output to PDF format in reports 6i? I given Mode = BITMAP.
DESTYPE = File, DESFORMAT = PDF, DESNAME = C:\x.pdf.
Report is running fine. But PDF file not generated. I don't know what i missed. Any one can help this?
Thanks
KavithaHello,
Do you get this problem only for DESFORMAT=PDF ?
Test with :
DESFORMAT = RTF, DESNAME = C:\x.rtf
or
DESFORMAT = HTMLCSS, DESNAME = C:\x.html
does it work ?
Check if DESNAME is modified in the reports itself.
