How to see the Currently loged on user and Locks using Enterpirse manager
Hello Everybody,
I want to see using enterpirse manager
*1.* the currently connected users
*2.* The locks held by users.
How to do this in Enterprise manager?
Regards
Hello Asif,
Your and Deepak suggessions do no t show the connected users. Instead If we use the following query,it will give us the names of all users that are currently connected.
SELECT SUBSTR(s.username,1,15) USERNAME,
SUBSTR(s.status,1,8) STATUS,
SUBSTR(s.server,1,10) SERVER,
SUBSTR(s.type,1,10) TYPE,
SUBSTR(s.event,1,20) "WAIT EVENT",
DECODE(s.command,
1,'Create Table',
2,'Insert',
3,'Select',
6,'Update',
7,'Delete',
8,'Drop',
9,'Create Index',
10,'Drop Index',
12,'Drop Table',
17,'Grant',
26,'Lock Table',
42,'Alter Session',
43,'Alter User',
44,'Commit',
45,'Rollback',
s.command) COMMAND
FROM v_$session s, v_$session_wait w
WHERE (s.sid = w.sid)
AND s.username != 'SYS'
ORDER BY s.username;

How to set the correct shared pool size and db_buffer_cache using awr
Hi All,
I want to how to set the correct size for shared_pool_size and db_cache_size using shared pool advisory and buffer pool advisory of awr report. I have paste the shared and buffer pool advisory of awr report.

Really how secure is the current erase all content and settings?
I am not sure about taking my iPhone in for repair or exchange after reading many old articles about how unsecure the erase really is, seeing how many sensitive passwords and e-mails I have. I have the most current firmware. So tell me, how reliable for keeping my data safe and gone is the current "Erase all content and settings" feature?
Also note: I have iPhone 3g, not later or earlier. So I am not sure if the hardware would make a difference, but yeah.
Message was edited by: nkcrcrIt is what it is. Erase all contents & settings overwrites user settings and information, writing a series of ones to the data partition. This process can take several hours, depending on the storage capacity of your iPhone. During this time, the device displays the Apple logo and a progress bar. If you had a 3GS, it would be instantaneous, as the 3GS supports hardware encryption. Can someone still recover data? Yes. But the software & equipment necessary to do so is very expensive & generally only available to law enforcement.

How to see the current zoom level?
I know how to increase or decrease the zoom level of a page. However, Firefox does not show me anywhere what the current zoom level is. Why? Both IE and Chrome show you the current zoom level. I don't want to install any extensions.
If you don't want to install any extensions, then I think at best you might take a look at toolkit.zoomManager.zoomValues preference (in about:config). It gives you information about available zoom levels, but you have to remember how many times zoom in/zoom out actions were used (i.e. there is no current zoom level indicator like in e.g. Opera). For example .3,.5,.67,.8,.9,1,1.1,1.2,1.33,1.5,1.7,2,2.4,3 means that you have:
Levels down (five):
'''30%''' 50% 67% 80% 90%
Levels up (eight):
110% 120% 133% 150% 170% 200% 240% '''300%''' -
How to get the current values of LINESIZE and WRAP in SQLplus ?
How do I get the current values for the SQLplus environment variables
e.g. LINESIZE, WRAP, PAGESIZE ?
When I type
SQL> show parameter LINESIZE
nothing is displayed.
Is there a command to show ALL existing current paramter values at once ?SQL> show linesize
linesize 134
SQL> show wrap
wrap : regels zullen omgeslagen worden
SQL> show pagesize
pagesize 50000And you can issue a "show all" to see all settings at once.

I'm using an Ace 4710 Appliance deployed in One-Armed mode, using Source NAT to loadbalance HTTP request to a couple of Proxy servers.
Everything is working fine, but the thing is that I can't see the Clients IP addresses on Proxy's logs, so I can't keep track of them.
The Interfaces and Nat configs are:
interface vlan 200
description Server-Side-VLAN
bridge-group 5
nat-pool 5 10.1.1.5 10.1.1.5 netmask 255.255.255.0 pat
service-policy input VIPS
interface vlan 300
description Client-Side-VLAN
bridge-group 5
interface bvi 5
ip address 10.1.1.3 255.255.248.0
description Client-Server-Virtual-Interface
ip route 0.0.0.0 0.0.0.0 10.1.1.1
and the policy map looks like this
policy-map multi-match VIPS
class Port80
loadbalance vip inservice
loadbalance policy Port80
nat dynamic 5 vlan 200
Resource assignment:
sticky ip-netmask 255.255.255.255 address both RESOURCE-CLASS
timeout 5
serverfarm Service80
Any suggestions will be appreciated,
ThanksHi Kanwal,
Thanks for your quick reply,
I've already tried this but it didn't work. The problem is that I don't manage the proxy servers so I rely on their skills to see the logs.
The Proxies are Squid. Do you know if they need to do something else on the servers to see that field of the HTTP header?
But I'll try again tomorrow and let you know how it goes.
Thank you again. -

How to see the current drill-level?
Hello,
I want to apply some conditional formating on a report with drill-down function, depending on the drill-level of the report.
Question: How can I determine on which level the user currently is in order to apply my formating?
Thank you
TuralfIf you don't want to install any extensions, then I think at best you might take a look at toolkit.zoomManager.zoomValues preference (in about:config).

SaumyaHi,
Enable security log as mentioned in the below URL.
http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw2004s/helpdata/en/a0/58db515b95b64181ef0552dc1f5c50/frameset.htm
This would capture all the creation/modification/Deletion of users, groups and roles objects.
The above log will be stored in ......log/system/security.<n>.log and can be viewed with the LogViewer
Hope this would be helpful.

How to create the instance of a class and to use this object remotely
I have to change a standalone program to do it working on a local net.
the program is prepared for this adjustment, because the only problem for this change came from the use of the database; and, in the application, all the accesses to the database come from only a class that supplies a connection to the database.
In this way I think that I could have (in a local net) a "server application" that has the database embedded inside it.
Furthermore, some client applications (running in different computers of the net) could get access to the database through the connection that comes from an instance of the class that, in the "server application", is made to provide the connection to the database.
I think this could be a good idea...
But I don't have practice with distributed applications and I would ask some suggestion about the way to realize my modification.
(in particular how to get and use, in the "client applications", the instance of the class that give the connection to the database from the "server application").
I would have some help..
thank in advance
regards

I think this could be a good idea... Which is why JEE and implementations of that exist.

You can't pass a connection from a server to a client. Nothing will do that.
As suggested you can create a simple RMI server/client set up. Or use a more feature rich (and much more complex) JEE container.
RMI is simple enough for its own tutorial

JEE (previously called J2EE) is much more complex and requires books. You can get a brief overlook from the following

iphoto will not import my photos from my digital camera because it says it is having a problem downloading my photos. I'm using the same digital camera I have always had and have the current version of iphoto and am using snowleapord 10.6.8. Any thoughts?
As a Test:
Hold down the option (or alt) key and launch iPhoto. From the resulting menu select 'Create Library'
Import a few pics into this new, blank library. Is the Problem repeated there? -
