How to do column calculation in smartforms using table

Hi,
In Smartform Table..I created main area ( as TABLE) having columns
POSNR(CELL7), MATNR(CELL8), FKIMG(CELL9), VRKME(CELL10), UPRICE(CELL11), NETWR(CELL12)....
Here UPRICE--- Calculate this field as Unit price = Amount / Billed Qty.
For this....I created a Flow Logic at CELL11
CELL11(Right click)
CREATE---FLOW LOGIC -
PROGRAM LINE
Provided code:
UPRICE = WA-NETWR / WA-FKIMG.
Its showing the run time error
Reference field WA-NETWR unknown in form
what i have to do now for calculating UPRICE in this case...

retreived the five column ( POSNR MATNR FKIMG VRKME NETWR ) values by providing code in GLOBAL SETTINGS -- INITIALISATION (TAB)
SELECT POSNR MATNR FKIMG VRKME NETWR INTO CORRESPONDING FIELDS OF TABLE
ITAB FROM VBRP WHERE VBELN EQ PVBELN.
And in MAIN AREA-----Table -
DATA (Tab) provided
Loop
Internal Table ITAB TO WA.
Created Text at each cell as
WA-POSNR(for Cell 7),
WA-MATNR (for Cell 8),
WA-FKIMG(for CELL9),
WA-VRKME(for Cell 10),
UPRICE(for Cell 11),
WA-NETWR(for Cell 12)

Do u want to print Standard Text or the Texts that are maintained at the Transaction level.
If it is standard text , then u use text id as ST or if it is Texts that are maintained at the Transaction level then u have to go to that specific transaction and check for that text , then go to text editor ,in the goto menu u have header data where u get the Text id , text name.... , use them in ur smartform in the INCLUDE text.
Further u have the option of text modules in smartforms which act as standard texts, so if u r going for creation of standard texts then its better to use text modules.

but error is coming that iznew1 is a table with out header line has no component like ED1.
so how can i pass calculated value to internal table iznew1,

When you declare your internal table , make an addtion occurs 0
eg . data : begin of iznew occurs 0 ,
                fields ...
   add the field here ed1.
           end of iznew.
now when you are calculating the value of ed1,
you can pass the corresponding value of ed1 and modify table iznew.
eg
loop at iznew.
iznew-ed1 = ed1.
modify iznew.
endloop.

how to get 2nd line in smartforms main window using template. i have also defined loop .

if possible can you try with the TABLES..
Put one TABLE in your MAIN window
create table lines as per your requirment...consider all lines like 6 for header, 1 for main, 1 for total
Now, you will find three section under the tables: header, main, footer...
in header section, create a table line, assign one of the proper lines from the line types.. repeat for your all lines.
in main section, you can access your data form the loop.
the footer secion will be called, just after the main will be finished.

Dynamic color selection in Smartforms using tables

I am printing a smartform in pdf, i am using tables in smartforms where the number of column is dynamic, and say there can be cases where there will be no data in a particular column and if that is the case than i have to print a particular color say grey, so my question is how to achieve this functionality in smartform dynamically, i am printing it in PDF.

you need to create the 2 text elements , and put the condtion like below
if not value is initial.

display text2.

in text2 element > Output options> put the color. which you want...

How to Show Total Calculation in Footer of Table

Hi everyone, is it possible to show total calculation in footer of table in webdynpro ? For the calculation, I think i can handle it because many thread in forum and weblog discuss it but for show it in footer of table , i can't find.

Even i had the same requirement once, but as this is not possible i.e displaying the total as the footeer of the table.
the other option for this is to hav a seperate table below the main table & then displaying the total in that table.
You can collect the value of each cell of column D in an integer variable at the time of displaying the data in the table.

How to find the list of un used table names in a schema?

I have a doubt in Oracle. The doubt is that If we are using any tables in Function Or Proc.... Then...We can list all those used table names from USER_DEPENDENCIES system table. Right...
But, If the table is used with Execute Immediate Statement, then, those table names are not coming out with USER_DEPENDENCIES system table. Because they are identified at run time and not compile time.
It is fine. And I agree.. But, If I want to list out those tables also...then...How to do? Any idea?
I think ‘USER_SOURCE’ system table may not be the right one. If there is any other system table avails for this purpose...then..it would be very grateful to extract right...
So I am wanting that exact system table.
Please let me know about this, if you have any idea or check with your friends if they have any idea.

The above SQL Query can list out unused tables by checking the Dynamic SQL Statement also upto some level only.
Once we extracted the list of unused tables, having a manual check would be also greater to verify as it is should not impact the business applications.

sure you can: Create a subclass of DefaultTableModel and overwrite the method public String getColumnName(int) which returns the column name of a specific column. Then use this subclass as the data model for the table.

SQL loader : how to populate a calculated feild of a table?

Hi All,
I have a table which has total 92 columns, among them 6 feilds are calculated using few other fields of the same table.
i have a csv file , which has only 86 feilds .
during upload data using sql loader, is it possible to calculate other 6 feilds and upload them along with 86 fields ?
Or any other method to populate the calculated values?

Hi Archana,
You can have a script file with the required update commands and execute that script after the Loader loads the data to have them updated.
But it is not a good practice to store the calculated values in the fields.
Whenever required you can have them as a calculation in your select statements instead of storing them in the table.
Unfortunately if the base values get changed you would be forced to recalculate and store them if you have them in the table.

How to get column default value define on table?

I am trying to get a table column default value with no success. I am using the Oracle Data Provider for .NET 10g Release 2 (10.2.0.2)
1). OracleConnection.GetSchema( "Columns", New System.String() {"<Owner>", "<Table_Name>"} returns everything BUT default value.
2). I tried querying oracle directly (sample below) but the default value comes back blank even though the column has one defined.

In your real code I suspect that you assign "oracleReader.GetValue(0)" to something - when you say "blank" do you mean zero length or a space or something else?

How to Drop an index from a used table. online

I need to drop an index from a table that is constantly used , read and write.
The DML's are locking the table and preventing the index drop (ORA-00054: resource busy and acquire with NOWAIT specified )
I tried to lock the table first - using 'lock table TAB1 in exclusive mode'
but when i ran the 'drop index' command , the drop (as all DDL's) first commits and this frees the lock which cause again the ORA-00054: resource busy and acquire with NOWAIT specified error.
I would appriciate any help .I can't take the DB or table or Application writing to the table offline. I need something like 'create index IND1 online' for DROP but there is none as far as I know...

It might do that today, but it is not guaranteed to do it tomorrow. Oracle may be able to retrieve the records ordered using that index, but I would leave it in your query if you are depending on the rows being ordered. The CBO is smart enough to not actually sort the rows (i.e. act on the ORDER BY clause) if it can get them sorted using the index, but if it decides to use another access path for one of many reasons your results will not be sorted without the ORDER BY.
Since the CBO seems to think that your existing index is useful (which is why you cannot get the lock on it), your only option is to wait for a period of really low activity on the database and try it then.
