  • How to combine sales and delivery data

    hi
i have requirement to make a report from sales as well as deliveries. Important fields in report are sales document , material , plant , sales document type , country key , sold to party , ordered quantity , delivered quantity , price from vakon ( KBETR ), actual goods issue date.
    The required extractors are 2LIS_11_VASCL, 2LIS_11_V_SSL ,2LIS_11_VAKON.
Problem is how to combine sales and delivery data as V_SSL has different key figures.Multicube is not the solution as dont have plant , sold to party and many other fields in V_SSL.
Kindly suggest how to combine sales and deivery data.
    Regards,
    Monika

I guess you do have shipping point in delivery.
In most scenarios shipping point may not(or) may be same like order plant.
Although they are different you can still roll up the delivery information to order level by plant since you have order # available as reference key in delivery.
With this reference key you can convert all delivery information to order (item) level.
I guess you can use one merge ODS with one cube (or) with 2 ODS for each at order level for validation.
You may have to map delivery type to order type as per R3 configuration as well.
speak with any Logistics guys for help.

  • SAP SD Career for Sales and Marketing Professional in Banking & Insurance Industry

    Dear Experts,
I have 8+ years experience in Marketing,Sales and Customer Services in banking and financial service industry. I enquired about SAP courses in authorised SAP centres and they suggested me to go with SAP SD module. I am not sure whether SAP SD will suits to me as it deals with hard core products, but my sales and marketing experience in based on Concept selling. As a marketing guy i have good understanding and knowledge of sales and product life cycle. I have done MCA in 2004, but all experience is into BFSI domain. Now i want to shift into IT. Whether i can take up SAP SD and make a career in it.?.Seeking proper guidance from experts.
    Cheers
    Ramesh

    Hi Ramesh,
You can try to IS-Insurance to suit your domain experience.  However, if you look at major SAP Implemented insurance companies adopted SAP ERP and custom according to their need.  So, getting a breakthrough in this IS solution would be very hard.
Again, if I come back to your question on BFSI point domain experience.  I have my friend who worked in Top 5 BFSI company in India who transitioned his career in SAP SD (studied in SAP Authorized institute and got a job through campus in CMM Level 5 company) because he has BE + MBA.  This story was happened 8 years back.  But I don't know the current trend in India.
SAP SD is best and it will suit as I saw already a guy went through the same path.  Also, check SAP CRM Sales or Service.
You can wait for other members comments who may be transitioned from BFSI sector to SAP to give  some ideas.
    Best of luck.

  • Inactivating Countries from being selected in Sales and Marketing Online

When our users are adding new addresses to Organisations in Sales Online and Marketing Online (and Receivables); they get presented with a 'massive' list of countries to select from in the Country Dropdown including places like 'Aland Islands' and 'Obsolete see CS Territory' ..a whole bunch of places we will never use.
Can you tell me how to inactivate/end date these countries so they will no longer appear.
Also, is there any way to put certain countries at the top of the list? Of course we have our default country but would also like to 'order' some countries to the top.

What about this - a colleague of mine pointed me here:
System Administrator Responsibility -> Install -> Territories.
I have managed to update the name of some countries and Obsolete them. But Obsoleting keeps the country in the list -- are there any other options?

  • Sales and marketing

    hello experts,
Could you please advise what is the difference between marketing and sales forecasting?
    regards
    PRex

Marketing is a societal process which discerns consumers' wants, focusing on a product or service to fulfil those wants, attempting to move the consumers toward the products or services offered. Marketing is fundamental to any businesses growth. The marketing teams (marketers) are tasked to create consumer awareness of the products or services through marketing techniques. Unless it pays due attention to its products and services and consumers' demographics and desires, a business will not usually prosper over time.
Marketing tends to be seen as a creative industry, which includes advertising, distribution and selling. It is also concerned with anticipating the customers' future needs and wants, which are often discovered through market research.
Essentially, marketing is the process of creating or directing an organization to be successful in selling a product or service that people not only desire, but are willing to buy.
Therefore good marketing must be able to create a "proposition" or set of benefits for the end customer that delivers value through products or services.
Sales forecasting is the process of organizing and analyzing information in a way that makes it possible to estimate what your sales will be. This document outlines some simple methods of forecasting sales using easy to find data. Books containing simple and sophisticated techniques of forecasting sales can be found in libraries and business oriented book stores.
If you sell more than one type of product or service, prepare a separate sales forecast for each service or product group.
There are many sources of information to assist with your sales forecast. Some key sources are:
    Competitors
    Neighbouring Businesses
    Trade suppliers
    Downtown business associations
    Trade associations
    Trade publications
    Trade directories

  • Do you have a marketing analytics task force?

“It takes a village to raise a child.”
A quote made famous by Hillary Clinton and one that rings true.
Communities rally together, they develop task forces, to improve the education and livelihood of children. Task forces, PTAs, and PTOs are all meant to provide a strong foundation for developing programs that enable children.
Businesses need the same collective support to build a strong foundation for developing programs that enable customers. Marketing is a key player in providing data and customer engagement insight.
The purpose of a marketing analytics task force is to better utilize the marketing metrics, analytics, reporting and dashboard functionality within your sales and marketing systems.
    So where do you start?

Great article, marilyncox. One thing I would like to add to point 3 "Building a 'Data Quality' dashboard", Eloqua Insight offers an out-of-the-box database health dashboard, which provides great insight on your database growth, reachable and unreachable contacts as well as the activitiy and inactivity of your contacts. Other great Data Quality reports are listed in the Topliners article by Ian Ingar Brown on Resources for Resolving Aging Data.

  • Intracompany sale and purchase of material

    Hi All
I would like to know how can intracompany sale and purchase be carried out in SAP?
    Details of problem:
There are 2 LOBs under one company code which are represented  by 2 diff plants, valaution area and profit centre.
When 1 LOB requires component "A" (trading component), then LOB 2 sells this item to LOB1 with profit margin.
How can this scenario be mapped in SAP so that my material inventory doesnt inflate and at the same time there is sale shown in LOB 2 and purchase in LOB1. Also corresponding entries of internal sale and internal purchase are shown in resp profit centre.
Request you to please help me out.
    Regards
    Rakesh

    Hi gj,
SAP's answer to the requirement was already mentined above. SAP foresees to use a parallel profit center valuation where the internal sales would be represented.
    from the help docu:
Company A sells a product to Company B, thereby realizing a profit that must be shown in its balance sheet (corporate and tax balance sheets). Because Company A and Company B both belong to a group, this sale is merely as an internal stock transfer when looked at from the point of view of the group. Thus no group (internal) profits can be realized as a result of this transfer. Such internal profits can also arise when the exchange is between two profit centers instead of two independent companies of the group.

  • Oracle Trading Community Architecture (TCA) licensing and Marketing?

Our organisation owns fully Oracle Finance (Receivables, payables, gl and cash management, HR and Payroll and Oracle Sales and Oracle Marketing. We rely heavily on the Trading Community Architecture (Oracle TCA) and store all customer data there (party names, phone/fax/email, addresses etc.).
However, we do not use any Oracle Sales or Oracle Marketing functionality - we simply create 'Customer' records using the Oracle Sales and Marketing WEB JSP front ends.
We would like to stop using Oracle Sales and Marketing an stop buying the licenses and maintencance for this and reinvest in other Oracle products.
Can you tell us - if we 'get rid of' Oracle Sales and Marketing can we still 'write' to the Oracle TCA using the API's that Oracle provides (something we already do today) or will we lose the right to create records to be stored in the TCA (like apps_fnd.hz_parties , contact_points, hz_locations etc.).

You would think that would be the case -- however they are quite incompetent.
Any one else have a suggestion?

  • What are all Modules come under sales, service and marketing in Oracle CRM?

    Hi All,
This is Hemanth writing in. I'm new to oracle CRM implementation in client side through Oracle Business Accelerator Methodology . I want to map sales ,service, marketing Modules.
Our client Company is manufacturing crane, tower crane, cutting bending machine.
what are all Modules come under sales, service and marketing ?
In Which module we can map the Trade management and logistics ?
    Thanks in Advance
    Hemanth.C

    hi prakesh,
firstly, cic winclient is an older version and obsolete so its better to implement the new crm version.
secondly, in any case if you want to implement, then your 3rd party raw data has to be mapped with the SAP system which could be a problem. Middleware could be a lot of effort. Rest all depends on how much customization you need for your business requirement in cic and sales. In case you are implementing standard functionality mostly then no major complications are expected otherwise lot of development effort may be required.

  • How to link sales order and billing plan?

    Hi,
Based on a sales order how can I know the billing plan? I tried to search for some posts, but could not find one with one exact answer regarding this.
    Thanks,
    Best regards

    Hi,
In "OVBP" T.code, you can find the billing plan assigned to a sales order.
    The path is:
SPRO>Sales and Distribution>Billing>Billing Plan>Assign the billing plan type to the sales order.
In two ways we can assign this billing plan to order.
One is the above mentioned one.
Another one is to assign the billing plan type to the item category using the T.Code "OVBR".
    Regards,
    Krishna.

  • Can anybody tell me how to extract sales value and cost value for an materi

    dear all,
Can anybody tell me how to extract sales value and cost value for an material sold .
All the values of cost value and sale values are getting  stored in bseg-wrbtr field .
    How to identify them uniquely.
Or there is another way to find the sale and cost values.
    Regards
    Mave

    Hi Mave!
Normally there is no condition change, when something is sold.
But sales price depends on sales conditions (not only price, but also surcharges, discounts, taxes - if customized).
Nevertheless, after selling you have a invoice document, where correct values <i>should</i> be stored (see VBRP fields mentioned above). If here is a problem, then customizing of price determination is in question, not a programming of user-exits with MARD selection for costs (or some other tries to get a price).
When you specify your requirements more in detail, you might get better answers - but currently only general hints are possible ('see in invioce / G/L accounts').

    Christian
