How to enable script debugger in adobe LC designer

Hi,
Can anybody tell me how to enable script debugger in adobe livecycle designer. Can we debug the java scripts in adobe desiger..if yes, then please let me know how do i do it.
I want to  debug the code line by line.
Regards
Sunil

Designer doesn't have a debugger like Acrobat.
The script editor can check only if the syntax is correct.
You generally can use the PDF-Preview to debug JavaScripts when  Acrobat is your current PDF-Viewer.
Add this code in you script where you want to start debugging. It will call Acrobat's JS Console
debugger;
console.show();

  • How to activate script debugging in Adobe Livecycle designer

    Friends,
I would like to know how to activate script debugging in the Adobe Livecycle designer. I need to debug the scripts written in the script editor.
    Thanks and Regards.

Syntax checking is available in designer from version 8.1 onwards.
If you want to enable in Adobe Reader then go to Edit --> Preferences --> JavaScript --> Enable the option Show console on Errors on messages.
Apart from it the alternative way to debug the scripts is to use xfa.host.messageBox and check the values.

  • How to enable frontend printing using Adobe Print Forms

Otto Gold at the forum "SAP Interactive Forms by Adobe" gave me the tip that Sandra Rossi in this forum might help me out. Here is the link to my original thread How to enable frontend printing using Adobe Print Forms
    My question was:
    Hi Experts!
Did anyone of you manage to enable frontend printing using Adobe Print Forms? In order to save administration effort we use frontend printing in our ERP system. We just changed some SMARTFORMS to the new Adobe Forms technology. Now we learned that direct frontend printing does not work with these forms.
Any help will be very much appreciated.
    Kind Regards,
    Gerald

I think you'll be disappointed by a rather negative answer but I'll try to explain everything I know (or think I know) the best I can
The simplest solution is to do a preview, and print from Adobe Reader! (as I could see on one project, users have to display one more dialog than usually to print) It's the best workaround according to me.
    How Adobe form printing works:
When you print an Adobe form from SAP, a printer language (PCL, PS, ZPL, PDF) is retrieved from TSP0B table according to the device type, ADS (Adobe Document Services, installed in the SAP java stack) is then contacted to generate the form: a file corresponding to the printer language is generated and sent back to SAP (there are also 2 other little files but it's of none interest here). SAP stores it as a file (named SPOOL...) in the global directory (DIR_GLOBAL when you use AL11 transaction).
When you ask SAP to print it, it sends the file as is to the printer.
Note: when you ask SAP to display the spool, SAP sends a request to ADS which will send back a PDF (binary stream which is not stored on disk, just displayed on frontend).
    How frontend printing works:
If you want to print a normal spool via frontend, SAP doesn't know the language of the printer you will choose. SAP sends the spool in a format named SAPWIN to a frontend program named SAPLPD, it converts the SAPWIN format into GDI, a Windows format that is understood by all printer drivers, and it is sent to the printer driver (you have selected) which converts the GDI format into the printer language.
    Any workaround?
First possibility would be that ADS converts the PDF into SAPWIN format (by creating an Adobe .XDC file at the ADS side). SAP says it's not possible in Note 685571 - Printing PDF-based forms. As I understand, SAPWIN is a very simple language compared to PCL for example, so it is very difficult to convert a PDF to SAPWIN without losing much information. There's a SAP note about the SAPWIN language if you want to check.
Second possibility is to print directly the PDF through Adobe Reader: you get the PDF from ADS, download it to the frontend (easy), and execute directly Adobe Reader print function. Unfortunately, I don't know if it's possible. Moreover, we should enhance the standard SAP print dialog...
Third possibility is the one I recommended at the beginning of this post

  • How to enable online editing of Adobe Illustrator document on SharePoint 2010 ?

    Folks,
I have installed SharePoint 2010 and have enabled CMIS (on SharePoint).  Does Adobe products have CMIS enabled as well ? Basically I want to enable online editing of Adobe files (Illustrator) on SharePoint 2010.
Any help or pointers is appreciated.
    Thanks
    Kulo

On SharePoint 2010, there is a Digital Asset Library where I uploaded images. If I upload a MS-Paint aware images such as jpeg, I can click edit on it directly. I can also save it directly into SharePoint.
How do I do the same for *.ai files ?
I am actually trying to figure out how to integrate the various Adobe products (including Illustrator) with SharePoint 2010 to enable our users to view and edit Adobe files.

  • How to split a column in adobe livecycle design?

How does one split a column in adobe livecycle design. I have found that one can split a column after you have merged it. But I want to split two columns into four in the middle of a table. This can be done in Word. Is there a way even if one has to split each row? Does any one know? Like in the table below I would like to make Header 2 & Header 3, Rows 2 and 3 into 2 rows 4 columns.
    Header 1
    Header 2
    Header 3
    Header 4
    Thanks
    Sheila

If you want to have 1 column to be split in 4 columns, you can insert a table with 4 columns inside a column cell.. If you mean to add rows and you want to keep those 4 columns, you should add instances of the row where you inserted the table with 4 columns...
    Hope this helps!

  • How To Enable GPU Cuda in Adobe CS6 for Windows

    I quote from Vimeo
A lot of folks were complaining about how most GPU accelerated graphics cards are not supported in Adobe's new Premiere Pro and After Effects CS6 applications.
Thankfully there is a simple and quick fix that allows you to enable your GPU videocard to be supported that makes the editing experience so much better.
I take six mintes to show you how to complete this on a Mac."
    Here is the link  https://vimeo.com/43420088
Can we do the same/similar for Windows based computers?
My video card is NVIDIA GeForce 9600 GT

After a little experimenting I have DONE IT !!!
In the folder "Program Files " "Adobe" "Premiere CS6" open the text file called cuda_supported_cards.txt.
Add your card to the list and hopefully it works.
Open a new session of Premiere, Goto "Project Settings" "General" and under Video Rendering and Playback "Mercury Playback Engine GPU Acceleration" should show as active.
Now I am going to tackle After Effects.

  • How to enable forms extenstion for adobe reader using Acrobat SDK?

Adobe acrobat GUI tool  enables PDF forms designers to extend the use of Adobe Reader and allow the end user to save the PDF form locally using the Reader.
Is it possible to do the same kind of fuctionality at run time on the server using Acrobat SDK?.
We are creating several PDF Form on the server, is there any way we can use Acrobat SDK to enable form's extenstions programatically on the server after the PDF is created.
If Yes How? any code example?

Not using the Acrobat SDK, no.
However, Adobe sells the LiveCycle Reader Extensions Server that can be
used on a server for exactly this purpose.

  • How to enable ussage rights on New LiveCycle Designer

    Hi there!
I used the older version of LiveCycle to create some forms. Now I have updated them and cannot find the feature that enables me to grant ussage rights so that users can fill the forms and save them with the data they have inputed on the forms.
Do I need Adobe Acrobat Pro?
    TIA!

    Hi,
The option is not in LC Designer. Extending the form is done via Acrobat.
If you have a version of Acrobat earlier than v9, then you will need the Pro edition of that earlier version.
If you have Acrobat v9, then the ability of Reader Extending is available in the Standard edition.
The option is under the Advanced menu.
    Good luck,
    Niall

  • Access index table with FormCalc script langage in adobe lifecycle designer

    Hi all,
I have some issue to hide a field in form adobe using FormCalc langage.
The link to the data is :
    $record.DOCUMENTS.DATA[*].HEADER.EVALUATEUR_SECONDAIRE.NAME
On Each page of the Adobe form contains the data element of the line Document, it is ok  :
    $record.DOCUMENTS.DATA[1].HEADER.EVALUATEUR_SECONDAIRE.NAME
    $record.DOCUMENTS.DATA[2].HEADER.EVALUATEUR_SECONDAIRE.NAME
    $record.DOCUMENTS.DATA[3].HEADER.EVALUATEUR_SECONDAIRE.NAME
    $record.DOCUMENTS.DATA[n].HEADER.EVALUATEUR_SECONDAIRE.NAME
Now, I just want to hide this data element if EVALUATEUR_SECONDAIRE.ID is initial, so i write a script at initialize event like this :
    data.MAIN.Page1.Identification.Identification.ES ::initialize  -  (FormCalc, client)  -
    If ( not HasValue($record .DOCUMENTS.DATA[*].HEADER.EVALUATEUR_SECONDAIRE.ID)) then
      $.presence = u201Chiddenu201D
    endif
The problem is that FormCalc consider DOCUMENTS.DATA[*] as all the line of the table DOCUMENTS, I just want the current line of DOCUMENTS.
Please, do you have some solution ?
    Thank's in advance.
    Regards.
    Johann

    Rehello All,
After more tests, It seems that this solution doesn't work.
In fact, if $record.DOCUMENTS.DATA[1].HEADER.EVALUATEUR_SECONDAIRE.NAME is initial, the corresponding field doesn't appear on the form : correct but all fields bellow doesn't appear even if one of $record.DOCUMENTS.DATA[n].HEADER.EVALUATEUR_SECONDAIRE.NAME is NOT initial.
Inversely if $record.DOCUMENTS.DATA[1].HEADER.EVALUATEUR_SECONDAIRE.NAME is NOT initial the correponding fields appears on form, it's correct but.... all fields bellow appears even if one of  $record.DOCUMENTS.DATA[n].HEADER.EVALUATEUR_SECONDAIRE.NAME is initial.
So, it's seems that the behavior of the differents elements DOCUMENTS.DATA[n].HEADER.EVALUATEUR_SECONDAIRE.NAME are the same that DOCUMENTS.DATA[1].HEADER.EVALUATEUR_SECONDAIRE.NAME.
Please do you have any solution to access to the current element ?
    Thank's in advance.
    Johann

  • Hi, How can import my forms into adobe in-design? or Adobe professional so I can continue populate them locally?

is there a way to bring these forms into adobe indesign or adobe acrobat professional or nitro and make them editable/fillible so I don't have to recreate them from scratch?! please advice. thanks

If you want to process those files in the software that you have already you will need to use DNG converter 8.3 or newer to create digital negative copies of your raw files. If you upgraded your Lightroom to Lightroom 5.3 or newer you would be able to open the original raw files. I am not familiar enough with Photoshop Elements to tell you for sure what version you need. But it has to be compatible with Camera Raw 8.3 or newer in order to open the files from your camera.

  • How do I re-download my Adobe CS4 Design Premium Suite without the discs?

I purchased the physical discs from Adobe in October of 2009 and found my serial number. I no longer have the discs, but need to get the programs on my new-ish iMac (2010). I deactivated and uninstalled the suite from my previous computer, and can't find a link where I can download the suite to my new computer. Any ideas or can someone post a link that's NOT prodesigntools.com? Does Adobe still offer this?

Adobe has recently created a download portal for previous versions
