How to export from Photos to Lightroom 5

I am fairly unhappy with the format and display of the new Photos. I use external editors all the time and this is another problem.
I want to export all my existing photographs, RAW, TIFF, JPG, etc. and hold on to any metadata and then import to Lightroom 5 (standalone). Looking for the best advice possible on how to make this happen and retain as much as possible.

I guess you have to export them from Lightroom and then import the exports into iPhoto.

You don't need to maintain all versions of the upgrade chain, but many of us do in case we need to work on a legacy file. If you want to rmove a version, though, ti should be done BEFORE installing the later one. Just reinstall CS5 and things should get back to normal.

This 'How-To' document is using an example of a BEx query. I am not using a BEx query, therefore I do not have an "Info port". How can I download to Excel from a table view that is not an iView of a BI query? (It is just a internal table coming from a BAPI).

i am using the query from SQL server, i am having the same problem of not having info port. so did you find a work around for exporting to excel with filters for non sap queries ?
any body who had come across this situation , plz guide me.

In exactly the same way. File -> Export. If all those options are not visible, note the disclosure arrow, indicated below.

How to do split photo in lightroom

Hello - I am wanting to make a split photo from an individual photo in Lightroom. I'm using 5.5. Specifically, something like this:

I know there are a couple of websites that will do this for you, but i'm looking at doing this myself. After splitting an image say into 3 parts, it will be framed or done on canvas.
Any of you done this before in lightroom or in elements (i have elements 9)? If so, any tips or "how tos" on the subject?

I've had a go at it but am having difficulty since my images are almost always cropped first (so therefore no longer in a 3x2 aspect ratio). if for example i cropped the image to an 11x14 ratio before doing this, what would you suggest? Perhaps I could make three 11x14 images out of the one 11x14?
also, i'm wondering when you write "recrop choosing the center of the image" are you doing this by sight based on where the previously cropped and exported left side image ended (on the right side of it), or is there another way?

How to delete all photos in Lightroom Mobile?

I would like to delete all of the photos in my Lightroom Mobile photo library. A one-step procedure would be ideal.
For background: My Lightroom desktop catalog has tens of thousands of photos and hundreds of collections. When I was first getting familiar with Lightroom Mobile, I synced all of my photos with the service. This was a mistake; I did not realize that this would result in large amounts of data filling up my mobile devices (I thought the service worked more like Dropbox, OneDrive, etc., where photos are loaded as-needed). My Lightroom Mobile photo library is now much too large to fit on my mobile device, and even partially syncing fills up my devices immediately. I want to clear out my library and start over.
Individually selecting each image in the web interface is not a practical solution. It is also not practical to keep all of the photos in Lightroom mobile and then delete unwanted collections from individual mobile devices, since this would involve deleting hundreds of events from each mobile device each time I set up Lightroom Mobile. I would like to clear my library and start over with a small number of synced collections.
Any advice on how this could be done would be appreciated!

In Preferences > Lightroom Mobile, there's a Delete all Data button.

How would I do this? I thought about making a script in Photoshop and exporting each individual photo with this script, but I couldn't get it to work. Suggestions?

You can do this easily with the Slideshow module. I needed to change your background image from 5000 x 5000 to 5000 x 10000 so that it would properly "fit" the Slideshow frame rather than "fill." You can even add an EXIF Caption text and/or custom text. Once complete select all images and choose 'Export JPEG Slideshow' with Width = 5000 and Height = 5000 or ANY 1 x 1 aspect ratio resolution (i.e. 1200 x 1200, etc.). The JPEG files will be output to the 'named' folder. You can also output to PDF or video.

Walt: If I'm correct in understanding that the question is how to copy pictures onto the card when the frame can't be connected to the Mac, the solution is a $10 USB card reader. Remove the card from the frame, insert it in the reader, connect it to the Mac, and copy the pix from that folder Terence has advised you to export them to. Then return the card to the frame.

To simply import the original files is quite a simple process.
Locate the iPhoto Library (default is your Pictures Folder). Right click on it and select "Show Package Contents".
Locate the Masters folder and drag it onto the Lightroom icon or an open Library window. This will invoke the Import command.
Be sure "Include Subfolders" is checked.
Now you can import all the original files.
If your goal is to maintain structure of the Events it gets a little more tedious. Drag the event onto the Lightroom icon or the Library window. Once imported you can group them into a Collection Name that mimics the Event.
Repeat with other events.
With the impending demise of iPhoto and Aperture, I suspect Apple may be working with Adobe to develop an automated process that will also maintain metadata that was added in those programs. If you can wait a while, it may be worth it.
