How to find the DB tables used by the workbook/worksheet

Hi,
I wonder if there is a way that we can query the EUL tables (e.g. eul5_documents, etc) to find out the database tables that are used by a specific workbook.
Please advise and thank you very much,
Yke

There is no "direct" way to do this. If a report has been run at least once, though, you may be able to find out what you want (but it will require a bit of work).
From the EUL5_QPP_STATS table, you can find the workbook (qs_doc_name) and worksheet (qs_doc_details). You can then use the qs_object_use_key value to find the objects, which will give the tables. You could try:
select obj_ext_owner || '.' || sobj_ext_table
  from eul5_objs
where instr ((select qs_object_use_key
                from eul5_qpp_stats
               where qs_doc_name = <workbook>
                 and qs_doc_details = <worksheet>
                 and qs_created_date =
                    (select max(qs_created_date)
                       from eul5_qpp_stats
                      where qs_doc_name = <workbook>
                        and qs_doc_details = <worksheet>)),
             obj_id) > 0;This should give you the tables used for the last execution of the workbook.

    I am getting data from crm system.based on that we created cubes and dsos.
    we have only one datasource.now i need to know from which table we pull the data?
    can any one give the procedure
    Thanks in advance........

    Hi,
    Datasource / tables in the source system
    Go to RSA2 (DS Repository) in your source system and display your source system.
    If Extraction Method is 'V' - you are lucky and you see table name where data is taken from.
    If it is F* - function module is used, and you have to go thru its code to see all the tables it uses and logic how data is
    processed.
    Ext. Meth   Short text
    V                 Transparent Table or DB View
    D                  Fixed Domain Value
    F1                Function Module (Complete Interface)
    F2                Function Module (Simple Interface)
    Q                 Extraction Using ABAP Query
    A                 DataSource Append
    OR
    Since you have the extract structure and the extractor, you must have some transaction like the Extractor Checker RSA3. If so
    then execute ST05, switch on the trace and execute the extractor checker. Once the extractor checker presents the results
    switch off trace. The clcik on Display trace and you will see all the tables that were hit by the extractor checker to
    retrieve data and present it to you.
    Hope this helps.
    Thanks,

  • How to find reports which are using sales tables

    Table names are given but how to find which report is using these tables.Is there any method to find
    or we have to check all reports manually?
    Could any one pls suggest me here!
    Regards,
    sk
    Edited by: 912736 on Jun 8, 2012 1:24 PM

    Hi SK,
    You can run a report from catalog manager that willl give you all answers requests and the subject area columns in use, you can map these back to the sales tables either manually or by linking (vlookup) to an RPD report that you can run from the Admin tool.
    The Usage Tracking method is pretty good but you will have to match up the reports using the Logical SQL.
    I'd do both methods and cross ref your results to ensure nothing slips the net.

  • How to find which datasource is using table JCDS?

    How to find which datasource is using table JCDS?

    Hi,
    Please find the below link and identify whether will it meet your requirement or not ... If it meets your requirement then I can provide you more documents related to the same which we have in our project.   We were using the same for Plant Maintanance project...
    For this report the required information is gathering from the different data sources from the ECC system. This report requires object status functional location attributes, Equipment attributes and some specific information apart from normal transaction data for an order.
    u2022     Main feeding data sources for this report are 2LIS_17_ORDER and 2LIS_18_ORDER.
    u2022     Requires the object status data (system status, number object status and un-number system status) is feeding from different DSO where the status data is staging with different data flow.
    u2022     Requires the Order planned end date which is dependent on the operation  planned completion date. so we are feeding this field from Operationu2019s DSO where the planned date is staging with different data flow.
    u2022     Required characteristic data and attributes of the Functional location  is getting from the master data .The 0FUNCT_LOC is updating by master data data sources
    u2022     Required standard class  of the functional location is updating from other DSO where the  classification  data is staging with the help of different data flow.
    2LIS_17_ORDER and 2LIS_18_ORDER Data flow Details : No enhancement was done for these data sources .
    Status Data Flow Details:
    The status data is staged because ,this dat is required for the reports based on the Orders, Operations , Notifications, Functional Location and Equipment.
    To load suitable data to different DSOs from the Status DSO we maintain the Filters for status profile and status at DTP level.
    Required status change dates  are deriving based on changed on date ,system status while loading from status DSO to Order DSO.
    The system status ,Number object status and un- numberd object status are feeding from status DSO only.The status DSO is updating by u20180TE_OBJ_STATUS_HISTu2019.This Is based on the tables JCDS,JSTO and T000.
    JCDS     MANDT     =     JSTO     MANDT
    JCDS     OBJNR          =     JSTO     OBJNR
    T000     MANDT     =     JCDS     MANDT
    This DS has enhanced for the below  two fields
    1.     Order Number
    2.     Operation/Activity Number
    The Logic to populate the above two fileds is as below.

    how to find from which table the field is fetched........
    please tell me........

    Dear Sridath,
    In ST05 switch on the SQL Trace.
    Goto RSA3.
    Give your DataSource name > Execute
    Goto ST05...Switch OFF the Trace
    Analyze the Trace file
    Gives you details about the fields and Tables from where you are fetching.
    OR
    Goto LBWE
    Find your DataSource > Maintenance > Display mode
    In right side window...expand ALL list box...
    Exclude MC and take other words...they are the Source Tables.

    i think u have missed it.
    RSZCOMPDIR IS THE ONLY TABLE WHICH PROVIDES THE DATA.
    ENTER TECHNICAL QUERY Name in RSZCOMPDIR-COMPID.
    RSZCOMPDIR-TSTNAM gives you the user id of sap bw user who made the change.
    RSZCOMPDIR-TSTPDAT gives you date on which  change was made .
    RSZCOMPDIR-TSTPTIM   gives you timestamp on which  change was made .
    all users details can be obtained from TCODE SU01 where you need to enter sap user id.
    You can also get user name( description) by using tcode SE09 and entering above sap user id.

  • How to find SQL Statement fired using SYS.AUD$ - Database Auditing

    Dear Friends
    I am having Oracle 9i Database and have configured it with database auditing option by setting the following parameter in init.ora file
    AUDIT_TRAIL = "DB"
    I want to audit SELECT, INSERT , UPDATE and DELETE operations on PRACTICE.EMP table for which I did :
    1) Logged in as SYS
    2) SQL> AUDIT SELECT, INSERT, UPDATE, DELETE
    ON PRACTICE.EMP
    BY ACCESS
    WHENEVER SUCCESSFUL;
    Audit Succedded
    Now how should I find out the SQL statement that does the insert, update or delete operation on the EMP table using SYS.AUD$ table
    Thanks

    Hi,
    It's contents can be viewed directly or via the following views:
    * DBA_AUDIT_EXISTS
    * DBA_AUDIT_OBJECT
    * DBA_AUDIT_SESSION
    * DBA_AUDIT_STATEMENT
    * DBA_AUDIT_TRAIL
    * DBA_OBJ_AUDIT_OPTS
    * DBA_PRIV_AUDIT_OPTS
    * DBA_STMT_AUDIT_OPTS
    The audit trail contains a lot of data, but the following are most likely to be of interest:
    * Username : Oracle Username.
    * Terminal : Machine that the user performed the action from.
    * Timestamp : When the action occured.
    * Object Owner : The owner of the object that was interacted with.
    * Object Name : The name of the object that was interacted with.
    * Action Name : The action that occured against the object. (INSERT, UPDATE, DELETE, SELECT, EXECUTE)
    So, take a look at action_name column from DBA_AUDIT_TRAIL view.
    Cheers
    Legatti

  • How to find our PSA Tables Size in my BI System Database ?

    How can we discover the size of PSA Tables  in out BI System.
    my  PSAPSR3 Table space size is 1 TB and want to identify the PSAP size in 1 TB
    Rgds
    PR

    Hi Srinivas
    you can set the amount of space the table is thought to need in the database.Five categories are available in the input help. You can also see here how many data records correspond to each individual category. When creating the table, the system reserves an initial storage space in the database. If the table later requires more storage space, it obtains it as set out in the
    size category. Correctly setting the size category prevents there being too many small extents (save areas) for a table. It also prevents the wastage of storage space when creating extents that are too large.
    You can use the maintenance for storage parameters to better manage databases
    For PSA tables, the maintenance of database storage parameters can be found in the transfer rules maintenance, in the Extras menu. (Go to Change Mode .--> extras --> Maintain DBstorage Parameter)
    You can also assign storage parameters for a PSA table already in the system. However, this has no effect on the existing table. If the system generates a new PSA version, that is, a new PSA table, due to changes in the transfer structure,
    this is created in the data area for the current storage parameters.
    Last Option is
    Go to st14.
    Choose Business WareHouse. now you will find the total size of Bw objects and  you get the size in last 1 month
    If you want full size ...change the date range .
