HI,
1. In transaction RSOR by choosing the pushbutton in the left navigation window or by choosing the menu option Goto Transport Connection.
You can display or hide the left navigation window in the Data Warehousing Workbench by choosing Navigation Window On/Off.
2. Collect objects that you want to transport and check the settings.

Objects Being Transported for the First Time (Package $TMP)
3. To transport the selected objects, choose Transport Objects. The Change Object Directory Entry dialog box appears.
4. Under Attributes, in the Package field, enter a transportable customer package (beginning with Y or Z).
This prompt only appears once for all collected objects. If you want to transport objects in different packages, you must collect the objects more than once.
You can subsequently change the assignment for a package.

5. Save your entries. A dialog box appears asking for a transport request.
6. In the Request field, enter a transportable request, or create a new request first.
7. Choose Continue.
8. Select CTO Transport Organizer: Overview. The Workbench Organizer: Requests screen appears.
9. First release the individual tasks and then the complete request.
Ensure that you release any requests with locked objects beforehand.
In the Collected Objects screen area, the system displays the corresponding information for individual objects in the following columns:
● Last Changed On
● Last Changed By
● Transport Request
● Transport Request Holder
● Package
10. In the log display in the lower screen area of Collected Objects, check the status of the transport.
Objects That Have Already Been Transported
From this point on, BI objects are subject to automatic change recording since they were assigned to a transportable package when transported for the first time. This means that all changed objects are written automatically to a request, and can be transported.
There you can create a request.

How to generate Billing Request Items in SAP CRM

Hi Folks,
We have requirements to create BRIs for Service contracts. Each BRI will create a Debit Memo Request in SAP ECC.
All Billing activities happens in ECC.
I did the following configuration:
1. Synchronization of master data (SAP CRM and SAP ECC)
2. Synchronization of pricing conditions (SAP CRM and SAP ECC)
Conditions are identical in both systems.
3. Customizing of service transactions in SAP CRM
You have set the External Billing indicator for the relevant item categories. You do this in Customizing for Customer Relationship Management, by choosing Billing Define Billing Relevance of Item Categories.
4. Customizing of controlling objects in SAP ECC
You have defined CRM controlling objects to which costs and revenue generated by external billing can be automatically assigned. You do this in Customizing, by choosingIntegration with Other SAP Components Customer Relationship Management Settings for Service Processing Controlling Integration
5. Controlling integration: Customizing: Integration with Other mySAP.com ComponentsCustomer Relationship Management Settings for Service Processing Billing Integration Map Transaction Types and Item Categories.
When i release the Contract items, I dont see any BRI created. I am not sure where should i check, if BRIs are created.
I have following questions:
1- Where to check if BRI is created for contract
2- How to generate BRI.
3- Can i debug the process of BRI creation? Is there any FM which gets called or BADI?
4. what am i missing in above config.

Hi Naresh,
You need to use Billing Plans for Service Contracts Scenario to create BRI items.
In the Billing Plan - you can assign whether it is a Periodic Billing or Milestone Billing. Then you need to assign this billing plan to item categories. So based on the period (monthly,quarterly,yearly) - the BRI items will be generated.
So Please try using Billing Plans for your scenario. As you mentioned earlier, you are using ECC for all Billing purposes. So the system will create one Debit Memo Request document per Contract and it will each line item for each of the BRI's in Service Contract. System will not generate one DMR per BRI item.
You can check the BRI items generated at the item level --> Billing Plan Tab page (Assignment Block in Web UI).

I know how to generate CSR using PKCS#10 format with keytool. However I need to implement this functionality in my application. Unfortunately I can't find any docs describing this issue.

Problem 1:
However, this generates only a request with X500 subject's name ("CN, OU, O, ..."). But I also want to specify other things like "Key Usage" (example: "Digital Signature, Key Encipherment, etc.") or "Generic IA5 String" (example: "Only for test purposes."). How to do that?
Problem 2:
I'm also having trouble to find javadoc for "sun.security" package. As you can see, I'm using "sun.security.pkcs.PKCS10" class for generating CSR in PKCS10 format, but can't find any javadoc for it.

I wanna know how to generate the output file of a certain report in a specified directory.
Now, the output file directory = /produits/OA/OAS/production/prodcomn/admin/out/PROD_us15k1bp/
I wanna to generate the output file of a report in this directory
/produits/OA/OAS/production/prodcomn/admin/out/PROD_us15k1bp/FACTCLIENT
Cause the output of this report is very large, so I don't wanna to put it in the output drectory standard which reduce the performance.

Cause the output of this report is very large, so I don't wanna to put it in the output drectory standard which reduce the performance.There should be no performance issues you place the output file in the same directory where other concurrent request output files are located.

There are help pages that discuss creation of transports.
In simple terms, you: create a transport package
add objects to the package export the package, plus optionally any related objects to a predefined folder/directory on the portal server into a file with an extension of .EPA copy the .EPA file to the import folder of your QA system and import it test the contents on the QA system copy the .EPA file to the import folder of your production system and import it Create a transport package file
Here is the step by step procedure to create a transport package:
For Export
1. Go to system administration, and click on transport?export.
2. In the middle pane, select the folder you want to export and right click on the Transport Package. 3. Fill in the General Properties i.e the name of the package, id and description. 4. And say finish and open the object for editing.
5. When the object has been opened then right click on the object you want to transport, and say "Add object to the Transport Package".
6. Check the checkbox of the item u have added and see the properties if it has been added properly. 7. Now click on the save button.
8. After the object is saved, click on the export button. 9. U will have an option to select where to store the .epa file which will be generated. U can overwrite an existing one by selecting the browse button, or store it with the generated name in the location it automatically generates. 10. Now Click on the Start Export button.
11. once the export is completed, it shows a report on how much time is taken to generate the .epa file. 12. Here there is an option for downloading the .epa file. Click on the link and download the file. This file is ready to be uploaded into any other EP Server.
For Import:
Pre-requisites: You have to copy the .epa file created while export into the local drive. Optionally, you have to manually copy the .epa file generated in the export function into the Import directory of the server ie. chooseFollow the steps below for importing a certain file. 1. Go to System Administration in the portal, and click on Transport?Import. 2. For the source of the package, Click on the radio button Server for the .epa file you have copied lately. Else, click on the radio button on client if you are operating in the client and select the .epa file you have stored on the local drive. 3. Now select the file from the browse option and click on Upload.
4. Now click on the import button. 5. Once the import process is finished, the report is shown. In the whole process, the par files are not included in the .epa files. For the par files to be included into the .epa files then we have to change the pcdStartup.properties file in the server. The property to be changed is Pcd.TransportApplication.Export.ExcludeObjectTypesAfterRuleProcessing: Keep this property's value as empty for enabling the par files to be uploaded into the .epa. You can check for this property in the portal in the following -System Administration-Support-Portal Content Directory-PCD Configuration.

You'll probably want to do this in a start routine. It is probably not advisable to hard-code the technical name of the InfoPak. They seem to remain the same upon transport, unlike DTP technical names which are locally generated.
I would do a SQL select like this in a start routine, and then filter based on the results of the SQL. You'll probably want to sort the results by date and time, both descending. Or do a MAX in the SQL.
Please let me know if this isn't clear.

How to generate PDF from an IView

Hi all,
I have been reading a lot about generating PDF document, smart form, adobe LiveCycle Forms, BAPI's..etc. but I can not find anything more simple:
I just would like to show (and maybe save and print) in PDF format (maybe in a popup) an IView content.
I have read how to generate a pdf file from a binary attribute of the Context, but nothing about how to fill this binary attribute with the data of the current showed IView.
Is this possible?

Thanks for your post. You are right, the general way to create a PDF is like that, using Adobe Interactive Forms.
Using this, I must design a form and fill it with data binding. But, in fact, what I'm requested to do is just convert the current IView into a pdf file without using any forms, but keeping the IView design.
Let me explain myself, It could be something similar to convert a .doc file into .pdf.
I tried this code;

We are enabling SSL for OBIEE 11.1.1.5 environment and want to generate self-signed or demo certificate.
We are following note 1326781.1 and are at Step 1 - point 4 that says:
4. Submit the Certification request to your Signing Authority (CA).
Certification Authority(CA) is an valid signing authority of your choice (for example: OpenSSL, Verisign,
Microsoft, etc)
Upon submission of the certificate request, CA returns the certificate for the testmachine server (Server Certificate). Copy the CA certificate and Server Certificate to <MW_HOME>/SSL folder.
How to gerenate self-signed or demo certificate?

As long as you have the keytool on that server (installed with WLS) , you can create the generate the certificate and import that into a keystore.

You have to use spacila BARCODE printers for that.
To Create a Bar code prefix:
1) Go to T-code - SPAD -> Full Administration -> Click on Device Type -> Double click the device for which you wish to create the print control -> Click on Print Control tab ->Click on change mode -> Click the plus sign to add a row or prefix say SBP99 (Prefix must start with SBP) -> save you changes , it will ask for request -> create request and save
2) Now when you go to SE73 if you enter SBP00 for you device it will add the newly created Prefix
Create a character format C1.Assign a barcode to the character format.Check the check box for the barcode.
The place where you are using the field value use like this
<C1> &itab-field& </C1>.
You will get the field value in the form of barcode.

A barcode solution consists of the following:
- a barcode printer
- a barcode reader
- a mobile data collection application/program
A barcode label is a special symbology to represent human readable information such as a material number or batch number
in machine readable format.
There are different symbologies for different applications and different industries. In my experience its not possible to call OLE object in Webui. Maybe customer 3 party application will be supply some web service to handle credit card payments. I think this is the simple way to access 3party application.

One 'simple' way is by using the DBMS_SCHEDULER db package and the procedure CREATE_JOB(....) using as job_type the value 'EXECUTABLE'...
Read for further info in 'PL/SQL Packages and Types Reference'.
If you have access to OEM ... you can configure this there using wizard.....
Other way is to use the External Procedure call capabiblity of Oracle DB Server...:
