How to get LabVIEW to use library created in Xcode using a library node?

I have written C++ code in the Xcode IDE on Mac OS X. This code controls a camera driver to tell it to take a picture and save it. I want to call this code in LabVIEW. I am trying to use a library node, but when I tell it the location of the Xcode project it doesn't recognize that anything is there. How can I get LabVIEW to recognize this? (Xcode used to be called Project Builder in earlier versions). In the documentation it says to link against libvlexports.a. I have included this file in my Xcode project, but does "link against" mean something more than that?

To create a framework in XCode that you can reference in LabVIEW for Mac OS:
Open XCode.
Select File»New Project.
Select Framework»Carbon Framework as the project type.
Name the framework when prompted. Click Finish.
The XCode browser will now appear. Click on main.c to open the file. This is where you will create your functions. For an example open the file main.c in the Call Library Function Node on Mac with XCode zip file.
After adding your functions, compile the framework. The compiler settings should all be left at default.
Access your functions via a Call Library Function Node in LabVIEW.
To access the functions in a framework using the Call Library Function Node in LabVIEW:
Place a Call Library Function Node on the block diagram by going to All Functions»Advanced»Call Library Function Node.
Apple-Click on the Call Library Function Node and select "Configue..."
Click on the Browse button and browse to your .framework file and click Select to select the framework.
Type the name of the function you want to access in the Function Name field.
NOTE: Unlike LabVIEW 7.x for Windows, once your framework is selected, the Function Name field DOES NOT autopopulate a list of functions in the framework. You must type in the name of the function you want to access.
Specify the return type of the function.
Add the number of parameters in the function and specify their types.
The function prototype will appear in the Function Prototype field according to how you have specified the function parameters.
Click the OK button.
Your Call Library Function Node will appear with the number of inputs you selected as well as the output. If LabVIEW cannot find the function you specified within the framework, it will show a broken Run arrow.
The "Call Library Function Node on Mac with XCode.zip" file (attached) contains a simple framework created in XCode along with its source code in main.c. main.c simply contains two functions both of which multiply two numbers. One function accepts integers and the other doubles. The zip file also contains a VI that references this framework using a Call Library Function Node. This VI was created in LabVIEW 7.1 for Mac OS.

I do generate XML-Files by using DBMS_XMLGEN with output by UTL_FILE
but it seems, the xml-Datafile I get on end is not really UTF-8 encoding
( f.ex. cannot verifying it correct in xmlspy )

but what is in this matter with encoding UTF-8 ?
in my understandig, the xmltyp created should be UTF8 (16),
but when open the xml-file in xmlSpy as UTF-8,

I've just setp my hardware and software. Does anybody now how to get LabView to start "talking" with this IOTech product, DaqBook 2000A or similiar IOTech hardware?

Once you have installed the drivers, in MAX you have to enable tulip support for the non-NI controller to be recognized. Expand the software listing, select NI-VISA, select the VISA Options tab, select General Setting>Passports. Check the box for NI-VISA Support for Tulip.
p.s. It's not a 'cord' or 'wire'. It's a GPIB controller. There are numerous GPIB tutorials available on the web. You should google that before you start doing any LabVIEW programming.

Hi,
I beleive you are confused because of the apparent inclusion of transport information in WSDL (that is the host:port/endpoint where the service is hosted). However, if you refer to the w3c specification of WSDL1.0 ([url http://www.w3.org/TR/wsdl]www.w3.org/TR/wsdl), you will find that WSDL has three separate sections:
1. The schema information that describes data element(s): specified in types
2. The message information ie message and port sections that specify the parameters and the operations
3. The service section that specify the actual protocol and endpoint binding.
Ideally, a WSDL can be broken down into these three separate components. Any WSDL containing the first two is called an abstract WSDL and is used for a top-down approcah for web services, and if the third part is used, then you get a concrete WSDL, containing invocation end-point also.
Comming back to your question one can typically use an Abstract WSDL for creating proxy service. This way, the service requester and integration can go on two separate threads where the common denominator or agreement between these two parties in terms of operation name and data element are imposed using the WSDL.

Inside a query region I have created a table using region wizard,for this table I have added a singleSelection Item. What I want is , on selection of a particular record i want to update or view that record in a new page , for this I have added update and view icons in each row.
But I am unable to get the particular selected record

For this singleSelection object I was unable to find any method which will give the value of the view attribute associated with it.

Hi Anant,
here is how you have to do it
1) you need to enable PPR on that Singl selection , by changining the Action type =fireAction.
2) define the envent , EVENT
3) define paramters for that event. This is place that gives you handle to the Attribute of VO.
So you can define paremters such
Name = PARAM1
value =${oa.EqxContactPrivEOVO1.ContactPrivilegeId}
You can define as many paramters as you can for the vo field that u wanted to have.
Now in the procesformRequest() , all you do it handle the event EVENT and get the parameters

String accountid= pageContext.getParameter("PARAM1");

How to get message in realtime sent by another user using FM TH_POPUP?

I want to program a chat function between two SAP users by using ABAP.
1.User A send a message to user B by using TH_POPUP,
At the same time, the message is showed in screen as
'Send message'
2.User B get the message
->My problem is how to get the message in realtime which I want to show it in screen as 'Received message'.
Can anybody tell me how to get the message sent by using FM TH_POPUP in realtime?

Hi there
This really isn't a "conversation" type program
1) What does the original user do after sending the message -- I'm not sure if there's a WAIT_FOR_REPLY and even if there were I'm not sure you'd want the original user to have a suspended session waiting for a reply.
2) What does the 2nd user do after receiving the message --if it's just thrown up on his screen then there isn't any mechanism to return a reply from USER A'S SESSION.
You need somehow to have a continually running process which will send a message for example to user B and create an event or do somethimg so that User B is bound to the same session that sends the original message.
2 different users running the same abap don't actually have any common link between them even on remote function calls.
You need to have a central process here that shares a message space between the users (i.e a kernel type module).
Classical Abap won't do (nor is it designed for) these types of processes.
You might be able to find something in some of the 'C' coded kernel calls but as I previously posted before you are far better off using Windows for this type of stuff. (Windows Messenger for example).
ABAP unfortunately is not designed as a multi user "re-entrant" programming language - nor was it intended to be.
Another possible get around is to use the workflow system. User A sends a message which raises an event. This then starts a workflow which transmits say message to user B and notifies him of a message waiting for him. User B can reply which again raises an event and triggers workflow routing the message / reply back to user A.
The response time won't be very good but at least it will work without tying up 2 user dialog sessions - but seriously guys I'd give up on this and just use Windows Messenger or equivalent system.
These type of programs depend on a central server for the message handling - you'd have to replicate this in ABAP -- and Im 120% sure it can't be done.

Sorry if this seems a simple question but I really sorry for the troubles. I'm a new user with LabVIEW and currently using LabVIEW 8.6 for a final year project of mine. I’m trying to monitor the temperature reading in 4 different depth of pavement for every 1 hour interval continuously for 1 month duration. Basically I’ll be using 4 separate thermocouples type J and NI 9219 device. My problems are:
I’m not sure how to design the LabVIEW programming for my application.
How to get the temperature reading data in Excel spread sheet.
How to set the min, max and average daily temperature for each thermocouple.

I just got the iPhone 5s and I used to have a 4. I backed up my pictures and contacts but the only thing that's on my new phone is my contacts. My old phone won't come back on. I need my pictures off of my old phone. My new phone says I don't have enough iCloud storage to backup. When I go to settings, iCloud, storage and backup, it lists my old phone and my new one. I don't know how to get my pictures back.
