How To... Get linear Interpolation between Position keyframes ???
Hi....
cannot get my head around this one...
When I do i..e opacity keyframes I can open video animation and add interpolation attributes like bezier & linear to the keyframes...
However, for i.e. position and all other keyframe-attributes I cannot. And the promblem is that FCPx adds (automatically) a logarithmic start and end... So say I want to move a steady-shot from left to right over 2 seconds' worth of time, I'll set a keyframe to the beg. of the clips then go to the end od the clip and add another KF and then move the clip over by i.e. 20 pixels. The problem is that the movement (interpolation) is NOT linear but logarithmic... Which ***** for what I am doing...
I have tried right-clicking ANYTHING but I have NO control over the KF properties...
Any ideas ?
thanks for chiming in ;-)
I know that I can create a motion effect that will handle this problem. And then load up that template in fcpx. As a matter of fact I have already built one since writing this message ;-)
However, I thought that I HAD to be missing something VERY obvious since an app carrying the name PRO should be providing its user with the capability of the MOST basic stuff. Which is does -- but only for opacity keyframes...
This app (in good and BAD) never seizes to amaze me.
Clearly Mr. Ubilos is NOT an editor that is using keyframes much ;-)

How to get the difference between two HashMaps

How to make footage in between position key frames stay in a straight line?
I used position keyframes to move the footage to the right, in different positions near the right side of the sequence frame (not all the same position), in preparation for a split frame crop effect. Between keyframes the footage jumps back to the original position. I selected all the key frames and did a rightclick and set Temporal and Spatial interpolation to Linear or Bezier - but that doesn't do anything at all. What am I missing?
Thanks for trying to help me Ann. The temp. & spatial interpolation on all keyframes is Linear. There don't appear to be any hidden keyframes, but I don't see how to zoom more than the default shown here. Where the playhead in this screencap - between the 2 keyframes - is where the motion jumps back. All the position keyframes align the footage to the right. In between keyframes - and not every one - it jumps back to the center. The extra keyframes in the clip were an attempt to keep that from happening but it justs happens in shorter increments now.
Just curious - is a person able to mark their own answer as correct? -

In advance,Thanks for your responseIs your universe based on a BEx query? If so, create the offset variables in the BEx query.
If the universe is not based on a BEx query, you will need to create these variables in your universe. I do not believe you can do this directly in Webi. -

How to get a text between two XML tags?
Hello everybody!
I've got a problem! How can I extract a text that is between tags, like <myTag> My text </myTag> I have no problem to get the attributes inside the tags, however, i don't know how to get some text that is between tags. Here is my xml:
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="ISO-8859-1"?>
<tangram_request service_id="3">
<send keep_session="nada">
<source></source>
<destination>3196931566</destination>
<channel_id>2</channel_id>
<text>Teste ServerSocket!!!</text>
</send>
</tangram_request>
Now, there's a fragment of my code, which gets some tags' attributes:
DOMParser parser = new DOMParser();
InputSource resp = new InputSource(new StringReader(XML));
parser.parse(resp);
Document doc = parser.getDocument();
Node node =(doc.getElementsByTagName "tangram_request")).item(0);
if (node instanceof Element)
Element el = (Element) node;
service_id = el.getAttribute("service_id");
System.out.println("\n\nService_id="+service_id);
}else{System.out.println("Erro");}
node = (doc.getElementsByTagName("send")).item(0);
if (node instanceof Element)
Element el = (Element) node;
keep_session = el.getAttribute("keep_session");
System.out.println("keep_session="+keep_session);
}else{System.out.println("Erro");}
Now, I want to get the texte between <destination> ... </destination>
How could I do that?
Thanks a lot
CalegariThanks... It worked fine!!!
Now how can I get lots of <desctination>... I did something that haven't worked...
node = (doc.getElementsByTagName("destination")).item(0);
while(node.hasChildNodes())
destination = node.removeChild(node.getFirstChild()).getNodeValue();

<?xml version="1.0" encoding="ISO-8859-1"?>
<tangram_request service_id="3">
<send keep_session="nada">

<destination>3196931567</destination>
<channel_id>2</channel_id>
<text>Teste ServerSocket!!!</text>
</send>
</tangram_request>
Thanks so much!

How to get percentage difference between two matrices?
Good day everyone, I just want to ask how to get the percentage difference between two binary matrices. This is for comparing two images converted to matrices in LabView. Thank you.
Solved!

You probably converted it to a 2D array (A matrix in LabVIEW has a special meaning).
"Binary" is not very well defined (unless you are looking for the number of bits that are different). What is the datatype? Was it a color image or a greyscale image? Are both arrays the same size?
How do you define "percentage difference"? Which one of the two is the 100% reference?
Do you want a new 2D array where each element is the difference of the second array compared to the first (or vice versa), expressed in percentages?
Do you want to know what percentage of array elements are different between the two arrays?
Do you want to know the average difference between all array elements?
All possible interpretations can be easily solved with very little code, but you need to explain in more detail what you actually want?
Here is a simple solution for case #2, for example (assuming the array have the same size, and we only want a rought estimate, rounded down to the nearest integer percent):

How to get the current caret position of a field
I would like to mimic a feature known from some UI parts in Eclipse (especially launch configurations) - inserting a predefined variable. It allows to modify the value of a text field by inserting a special value to the position of the caret.
I'm struggling with how to get the caret position in Sapphire since the model does not propagate such UI-specific info. Is there a way how to implement this which does not involve creating a special field implementation?
Thanks in advance.Sorry for the delay in responding. Currently, there is no API available to implement what you are describing. We should add a TextSelectionService similar to the existing ListSelectionService.

How I get random number between 1 and int number ?
how can I get random number between 1 and int number
like between 1 and 10 etc.
10xUse the nextFloat() method of the Random class, this returns a random number between 0.0 and 1.0. To get and integer range from that multiply the return value of that method call by the integer range you need (in this case 10), and add the starting number you want returned in the range (1 in this case). The code below works for numbers 1-10.
Random r = new Random();
int x = (int)(r.nextFloat()*10) +1; -
How to get the current cursor position in word report?
I am generating a word report. But I would like to keep the table in one page. However, I did not find the way to do it in labview. Somebody would give me some suggestions? I appreciate a lot.
One way I think I can do is to find the current cursor position. Since I know the table size so I can figure out if the left space in the current page is enough to hold the table. But I do not know how to locate the curent cursor position in word document in labview programmatically. I appreciate any suggestions on this question.
Thanks.Hi,
when you insert data in a word document you have to refer to bookmarks rather than cursor position.
If you are using the Report Generation Toolkit for Office it is explained in the manual chapter 3-1.
See also the example: Generate Report From Template (Word).vi included in the toolkit.
If you aren't using the toolkit, you still have to refer to bookmark as reference points to insert and/or fetch data.
The principle is:
- First create a document in which you insert bookmarks where you wish and save it as a template
- In LV open your template document and insert in it your data referring to bookmarks as insertion points
- At the end save your report with another name, so you still have the template
I hope I have been clear enough, if not just as

Good luck,
Alberto
