How to go back on page by not sending request to servlet

Hello,
I have create web application using JSP and servlets. When I press a button I send request to servlet and it redirects me to jsp page where the results are displayed, then in that page I press a button and go to other servlet which redirects me to other JSP.
I want to make a button on the third JSP page to go back to second JSP page by not sending request to servlet. For e.g. in FireFox, I press back button and it takes me back. But I want that the same action like in firefox would work with my created button.
How can I do that?

Go back one page does not work

Since I had to reinstall Firefox 3.6.15, the "go back one Page" does not work in many cases. Sometimes by clicking on history and manually returning, it works. Id there a fix for this problem, because it is new.

Start Firefox in [[Safe Mode]] to check if one of the add-ons is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Add-ons > Themes).

Hi friends,
I created an application with 3 pages in it..
1-------2------3
where 1-----> login page
2----->report
3----->forms
I deleted report page----2, and i also changed the target page in login page, so that soon after press the login page it will directly go to page 3...
If im clicking that login page icon means it is working fine......it is going to page 3
But if i clicked the "RUN APPLICATION"---the big icon of the application means, it is directing to the page 2----report
which i was deleted, as it showing the error

Since i doesnt want to go to page 1 which is in deleted state, i need is soon after click that "RUN APPLICATION"---the big icon it has to go to page 8 directly like, when it is going to page 8 when i clicking the individual login page icon.......

I don't know if I quite follow...Make sure you check all of you page processes and your page branches.

I tried to clear cache to solve a "Not Data Found: error and now I am getting this error. I am going from bad to worst.
I press a submit button to insert rows into a table which worked fine until I did the following:
(1) used the "Return Key Into Item" on Auto Row Processing(DML) - to display the PK and to use later.
(2) After which, I started getting ORA:01403: No Data Found - which I tracked to a caching problem.
(3) Now when I clear cache, I am getting "Error ERR-1016 Application "107" Page "0" not found (requested language="en-us")"
What is the deal?

I solved the problem.
In my attempt to figure out the "No Data Found Error" , clear cache and "Display the PK key on page 2", I changed the "Optional URL Redirect" on my SUBMIT button.
I set the following options "Clear Cache, Set These Item, With These Items" which caused the page to redirect to page 0.
I cleared the settings and the error when away!

I'm not sure "sad" is the right word to describe my feelings at this moment. Yesterday I was notified there is a new version of Firefox available. I chose not to upgrade at that time. The next time I opened Firefox the new version downloaded automatically. Now every time I go to the Internet I get the "Hooray! Your Firefox is up to date." Send Request to servlet every time with the back button

Hi,
We are designing a web site in which all the pages are dynamic depending on what he does with his ordering system. Problem is when the uers request a change to the orders (eg deletes) the page is generated again. But the user can use the back button to see the deleted order.
Question. Is there any way to send a request to the server everytime the back button is pressed.
I have already added this to the top of my generated pages.

I tried both the POST and GET request too.

This is an issue of never ending discussions. If you did a search for similar topics in this forum, you'd encounter various opinions including examples of suggested solutions.
You can also see various real life behaviors on various real web sites.
Personally, I don't want to put too much effort in disabling the back button. The back button is a mere display of the previous page and not the state of the application. As a user I like websites which do not mess with the browsers back button and let me see what I did on the previous page.
If the user tries to do something with this deleted order, you should be able to track that and display a suitable error message.
BTW, those headers do not have any effect on browsers back button. They merely control caching of pages.

SPNego - J2ee did not send request for authentication

Hi All,
I have configured SPNego and completed all setup as per documentation. When I use the browser to access the portal, it is prompting for user id and password. If we manually enter the id and password on AD, it works fine. Somehow not able connect to j2ee without prompting for id and password.
To troubleshoot this, traced the http traffic using winshark and found that j2ee engine did not send any request for kerberos authentication.
Is there way to check on the server side to make sure spnego is configured properly and server is able to send kerberos authentication ?

Login to your Visual Admin, then go to -->Security Provider -->com.sun.security.jgss.accept -->Krb5LoginModule
Add a Parameter isInitiator and Value false. Save it and take a bounce of J2EE.
This should solve your login page problem Otherwise paste the default trace.

To solve your problem, I would work with the otf-data. I just can give you suggestion because the solution might be a bit bigger.
Set yourself a unique string into the line you want to draw a box (perhaps @BOX1). Afterwards you can replace this variable with things you want to do. There is a lot possible with having the otf-data itself.
Important is, that you do this before calling CLOSE_FORM
