How to go to different screen by Double Clicking a Tree Node

Hi guys,
I have a tool where i have a top panel and a bottompanel. On the top panel, i add Tab buttons so that if anyone is clicked, it will repaint the bottom panel with corresponding Tab screen(New screen will come with the top panel remaining same). There are Actions, Conditions,Trees tabs on the main panel. There is also a Home Tab on the main panel which when clicked brings up a tree structure on the left hand side of the bottom panel which has some parent and child nodes depending on whether they are files or directories. There are folders(parent nodes) with names Trees & Conditions also related to the Tabs on the main panel under which i have some file names. I am including the method which creates the nodes. The problem is that when i double click any file(not a directory), it should take me to the screen which is actually populated when i select the Trees/Conditions tab and select the corresponding file name from the drop down provided in that screen and click a view button. So, it is something like adding an actionListener or SelectionListener. But, i am unable to do it. Can anyone suggest me how to do it?
The class involving the following looks something like this.
public class MainHomePanel extends AbstractDtPanel {And the AbstractDtPanel looks something like this.
public abstract class AbstractDtPanel extends JPanelFinally, the method to create the Nodes is given below
    private void createNodes(DefaultMutableTreeNode top) {
        DefaultMutableTreeNode parentFolder = null;
        DefaultMutableTreeNode innerFolder = null;
        DefaultMutableTreeNode fileNames = null;
        ArrayList folderName = new ArrayList();
        ArrayList innerFolderNames = new ArrayList();
        ArrayList fileNameArray = new ArrayList();
        CommonUtil cu = new CommonUtil();
        folderName =cu.getFolderNames(sessionData.getSysPath());
        if(folderName != null && folderName.size() > 0) {
             for(int i =0; i<folderName.size(); i++) {
                 parentFolder = new DefaultMutableTreeNode((String)folderName.get(i));
                 top.add(parentFolder);
                 innerFolderNames =  new ArrayList();
                 innerFolderNames = cu.getInnerFolderNames(sessionData.getSysPath(), (String)folderName.get(i));
                 for(int k=0; k<innerFolderNames.size();k++) {
                     innerFolder = new DefaultMutableTreeNode((String)innerFolderNames.get(k));
                     parentFolder.add(innerFolder);
                     fileNameArray = new ArrayList();
                     fileNameArray = cu.getFileNames(sessionData.getSysPath(), (String)folderName.get(i),(String)innerFolderNames.get(k));
                     for(int j=0; j<fileNameArray.size(); j++) {
                         fileNames = new DefaultMutableTreeNode(fileNameArray.get(j));
                         innerFolder.add(fileNames);
    }

Sorry, a small mistake. The "createNodes" method is in the "MainHomePanel" class.

  • Double-click on tree nodes

    Is there a way to disable the double-click-to-expand-
    node feature? This seems to be a default behaviour,
    wish to remove it. Thanks in advance.

    I use forms6i patch 12. And that is what I have:
    Block 'TREE'
    Triggers
    WHEN-MOUSE-DOUBLECLICK
    begin
    :global.MDC := 1;
    Message ('1', Acknowledge);
    Pause;
    end;
    Tree_Item
    WHEN-TREE-NODE-EXPANDED
    begin
    Message ('2', Acknowledge);
    Pause;
    if :global.MDC = 1 then
    :global.MDC := 0;
    Return;
    else
    FillLevel; --(e.g. fill the lower nodes and
    -- expand the parent node)
    end if;
    end;
    And that is what I get at runtime after double clicking on a collapsed node:
    1 (acknowledge)
    2 (acknowledge)
    So WHEN-MOUSE-DOUBLECLICK fires prior to WHEN-TREE-NODE-EXPANDED in my environment.

  • How to get the alv grid report in another screen when double click on basic

    Hi.
    I have created an alv report using class cl_gui_alv_grid.I got another report in the same screen,when double clicked on basic list(using double_click event).I want to get this report in another screen.What i have to do?(In classical reports i worked with sy-lsind = 1 ,but how to do here?)
    How to set color to the selected rows in the alv grid report?I worked with change_data_from_inside method of cl_gui_alv_grid.But it didn't work out..
    With Regards,
    Ramana.

    On double click event . you will have to call another screen say 9000.
    now within screen 900 PBO.. you will have to prepare the fieldcatalog/layout.. and the table to be displayed there.
    in PAI of screen 9000, you can return to the original ALV.
    method double_click.
    call screen 9000.
    endmethod.
    " now in PBO create a module display_alv2
    module display_alv2.
    'prepare the fieldcat/layout info for new alv
    'add the data to the new ALV table
    'instantiate the grid call.. etc
    'call the ALV
    endmodule
    "in PAI
    module exit.
    case sy-ucomm.
    when 'ENT1'.
      leave to screen 0.
    endcase.
    endmodule
    while preparing the field catalog you can mention the EMPHASIZE field, whish will give color to tht column
    E.g
    *--Service Order
        ls_fieldcat-tabname   = 'IT_FINAL_VALID'.
        ls_fieldcat-fieldname = 'AUFNR'.
        ls_fieldcat-scrtext_m = 'Service Order'.
        ls_fieldcat-ref_table = 'AUFK'.
        ls_fieldcat-ref_field = 'AUFNR'.
        ls_fieldcat-col_pos   = 1.
        ls_fieldcat-outputlen = 12.
        ls_fieldcat-emphasize = 'C400'.  "This will add color to the cell
        APPEND ls_fieldcat TO fcat_valid.
    Hope this helps.

  • In an album, many pictures would show on the screen and double clicking one would enlarge it for adjustments. Now one larger photo shows and along the bottom severa smaller ones. Options which used to be at the top right of screen no longer show. Whel

    In Aperture album about 16 photos would show on screen and double clicking on one would enlarge it for adjustments. Now one larger image shows with about 7 photos at bottom. Options for controlling this no longer appear at top right. How do I correct this?

    Do you mean the "View" controls are missing in your Toolbar?
    To add these controls back to the Toolbar, use the View menu and select "Customize Toolbar". Drag the View Controls back to the Toolbar.

    I only noticed this after some iTunes updates.  Any movies that have iTunes Extras donot show the "Title Screen" when double clicked.  They only show HTML script.  I can still watch the movies, and can access the extras by going to the folder they are in, but thats a pain.  I have purchased other movies with extras since encountering the problem and have the same issue.  I run windows Vista on a 32-bit system. • ***How to Invoke backing bean method by DOUBLE-CLICK the table ROW!!***

    Hi,
    How can I collect the selected row value & navigate to next page by DOUBLE-CLICK the result table row.
    My application got searchResult page where I am displaying the list of user in result table. Then selecting any one row and navigating to master details page by clicking the continue button. Button Action method will collect the selected row userID which I am forwarding to the masterDetails page.
    Same functionality I want to do by double click the row instead of clicking the button!!. I want to trigger the backing bean method if the user double click the row basically. Please help me in this how to do this?
    Current button action method:
    *public String userSelected() {*
    FacesCtrlHierNodeBinding binding = (FacesCtrlHierNodeBinding) searchResultTable.getSelectedRowData();
    currentRow = binding.getRow();
    selectedNetID = (String) currentRow.getAttribute("netid");
    System.out.println("selectedNetID -->"+selectedNetID);
    requestContext.getPageFlowScope().put("netid",selectedNetID);
    return "continue";
    *}*

    Puthanampatti ,
    Yes, I am using the same. Below is my code. I am trying to get the object of the MAIN jspx page region (where I am displaying the fragments) and refresh the one. But cant able to get the object for the region it is returning null. without refresh seems the navigation wont work.
    public void doDbClick(ClientEvent clientEvent) {
    FacesCtrlHierNodeBinding binding = (FacesCtrlHierNodeBinding) searchResultTable.getSelectedRowData();
    currentRow = binding.getRow();
    selectedNetID = (String) currentRow.getAttribute("netid");
    System.out.println("selectedNetID -->"+selectedNetID);
    requestContext.getPageFlowScope().put("netid",selectedNetID);
    try{
    FacesContext facesCtx = FacesContext.getCurrentInstance();
    NavigationHandler nh = facesCtx.getApplication().getNavigationHandler();
    nh.handleNavigation(facesCtx, "", "continue");
    System.out.println("region obj -->" +facesCtx.getViewRoot().findComponent("advse1"));
    // Refresh the current region; advse1 is the id of the region component inside jspx page
    AdfFacesContext.getCurrentInstance().addPartialTarget(facesCtx.getViewRoot().findComponent("advse1"));
    catch(Exception e){
    System.out.println("Error is: " +e);
    Is this correct coding to get the region object?? actually the "result table" and "Master details" are 2 different fragments which are linked with task-flow and the task flow is part of main jspx page as a region. I am using that region ID to get the obj, but cant able to get so....!!! any idea

  • How not to sort datagrid column on double click

    Hello,
    I am currently building an application containing a datagrid for data representation. I've created a custom datagridheader in order to add a input text for filtering the columns (see code below).

  • If I got one of the free books off of Itunes, how do I read it? I double click and it does nothing. Is it only to hook up to Iphones or Ipads?

    I got one of the free books of Itunes and I'm wondering how I read it.  I double click and nothing happens.  Is it only for Ipads and Iphones??

    If you have one of the public-domain books provided by Project Gutenberg (these are books published many years ago and which have therefore fallen out of copyright, such as the Dickens and Jane Austin books), you should be able to open it using Calibre:
    http://calibre-ebook.com/
    or one of the other applications that can open ePub format. Launch the app and point it to the book file, which will be in your iTunes folder, in iTunes Music (Media) -> Books.

    !!! Please give me a help! i am thirsty for itSo, to get this straight, you have a Java application in a jar. For some reason, you do not execute this directly. Are you aware that you can execute a jar directly without the need to write a C++ exe to do it?
    Anyway, for some reason, instead you have a C++ application which launches the JVM with your jar main class.
    Well, you want to do two things. First of all, on Windows level, you need to associate the file type of your user file with your application. Note that they have to have a specific file extension that you choose. To associate the file type with an executable, you open a windows explorer, go to View, Folder Options, File Types and add an entry for your file type and specify it to open with your application. If you do not know how to do this, google for "windows associate file type with program executable" or something alike.
    Now, if you double-click one of your user files, the associated exe will open, and it will receive the file name as a command line argument. In your C++ application, you will need to pass this argument, a file name, to the Java application where you launch it.

  • CL_SALV_TREE: How to read the value of a double-clicked field

    Hey Guys!
    I have build a list with CL_SALV_TREE. When the user makes a DOUBLE CLICK in a especially field of a line I want to call a transaction with the field's value.
    Can you please tell me how exactly I can get the value of the double-clicked field?
    Reacting on the double-click-event is no problem (thanks to the sap-sample-codes), but I just don't know how to find the item-value having node-key and columname.
    I got this far:
    *       CLASS lcl_handle_events DEFINITION
    class lcl_handle_events definition.
      public section.
        methods:
          on_double_click for event double_click of cl_salv_events_tree
            importing node_key columnname.
    endclass.                    "lcl_handle_events DEFINITION
    *       CLASS lcl_handle_events IMPLEMENTATION
    class lcl_handle_events implementation.
      method on_double_click.
    *   selecting field's value
    *   call transaction
        message i000(0k) with node_key columnname. 'just for test
    endmethod.                    "on_double_click
    endclass.                    "lcl_handle_events IMPLEMENTATION
    I googled a lot and also searched in this forum and found some questions to a similar topic, but no solution to my problem.
    Can you help me with some example-code?
    Thank you very much!!!

    You need to get the Node and node value of the selected column like this.
    METHOD on_double_click.
        DATA: lr_nodes TYPE REF TO cl_salv_nodes,
              lr_node  TYPE REF TO cl_salv_node,
              lr_val   TYPE REF TO  cl_salv_item,
              lr_data  TYPE REF TO data.
        FIELD-SYMBOLS: <lv_val> TYPE ANY.
        lr_nodes = gr_tree->get_nodes( ).           " All nodes
        lr_node = lr_nodes->get_node( node_key ).   " selected node
        IF columnname IS NOT INITIAL.
          lr_val =  lr_node->get_item( columnname ).   " Object for selected column
          lr_data = lr_val->get_value( ).              " value of selected column
          ASSIGN lr_data->* TO <lv_val>.
        ENDIF.
      ENDMETHOD.                    "on_double_click
