How to have tray specific printing ?

Hello SAP Experts,
We have a requirement where in we want all our print outs from SAP to come from a specific tray on the printer ?
Can some one please help with us steps as to how to achieve this ?
All SAP prints should come from one tray.

How to have more flexible printing with keynote

I would like to print 3 slides on a handout page that use the space well so they can be legible. What I am finding now is the slides come out tiny and tinier when in portrait.
I would also like to print notes legibly- they are so teeny- and have them on the same doc as the slides so i can study my notes. why is this now seeming so difficult whereas the former keynote version had many more options?

I have a specific application for Windows I'm developing where I need to silently print a PDF to a real printer. The trick is I need to set specific printing preferences ... such as color/monochrome, # of copies, page size / source tray, etc. The printer is always set to spool documents, and it is key that I know the job id (even if its already done printing) of the resulting print job.
With windows APIs mixed in, I would imagine something like ...
OpenPrinter(printername)
StartDocPrinter(...)
-----> some SDK call to print the document based on the handles I pass it...or perhaps one page at a time after I call StartPagePrinter()
EndDocPrinter(...)
ClosePrinter()
I've been searching for something for days that would give me this sort of control, but I've been finding the documentation very difficult to find on silently printing a PDF through any means other than a command line which doesn't appear to give me the information or control I need.
Is this possible with the Adobe SDK?
I've seen other posts accomplish this by changing the printing defaults for the printer, and then sending the job silently with a commandline. This has two problems for me: 1) I still don't know the Job ID of the print job, and 2) I can't rely on the idea that other unrelated print jobs will not be sent while I'm processing the PDF ... making it difficult to use defaults as a means of controlling the settings without causing a lot of side effects.
Even just a point in the right direction would be a huge help for how I could accomplish this.

Hi Lava,
According to what I can understand you would like to print the Crystal Report to a specific printer.
In order to print the crystal report to a particular tray of a printer you need to set the printer from the Crystal Reports application.
This can be done from u201CFileu201Dmenu->Print. Select the printer if it is already added else you can add anew printer.

Scheduling a report to print to a specific printer tray

I'm trying to schedule a report to print to a specific tray on a specific printer.
The SDK permits me to specify the printer, using ReportPrinterOptions, but it just seems to always print to the default tray for each printer and there are no ways, that I've found, to specify a particular paper tray to print from.
Normally this isn't an issue, but we have a client that has a special report that prints to special paper that's always available in the secondary tray of the printer.
Have I missed something obvious here? Any help would be appreciated.

You didn't specify the version of Crystal Reports you're using, the version of Visual Studio you're using, or which .NET SDK you're using. Assuming you're CR XI R2 (v11.5) with VS2003/VS2005 and the CR.NET SDK (reportdocument object) then you're looking for the CustomPaperSource property off of the PrintOptions class.
You can search the forums for additional posts, but I found this one - [Setting PaperSource|Re: Setting PaperSource;. There may be others.
You can also find information in the [CR XI R2 Developer Library|http://devlibrary.businessobjects.com/BusinessObjectsXIR2SP2/en/devsuite.htm]. Search on CustomPaperSource.

Sure, I'll give it a test. Its just that I have a 128 page form that not all of it needs to be printed.
Currently, I have an index page where I want to set up a print button queues per form, however there are several form scattered throughout the document that make up a specific section, but it does not require printing the entire document. Does that make sense?
I did find this JavaScript during my reseach, but have not be able to get it to work.

How to configure printer to use bypass tray when printing legal paper and envelopes?

I have a new Phaser 3610. Tray 1 - contains Letter paperBypass Tray - Legal paper and sometimes envelopes How do I configure my printer to know when to use the bypass tray for legal paper when I that is what I want to print to from Excel? In Excel, I have legal selected but it is still pulling the paper from tray 1 instead. I also print envelopes occasionally. If I stick an envelopoe in the bypass tray, I want it to print from there like when using Word to create enveloples, instead it is pulling it from Tray 1. I have tried to adjust both settings on the Printer control panel and the Xerox printer software. I have had no luck.

Thank you for using the Support Forum. Please take a look at the solution for using smaller paper in the bypass tray. I know it says smaller but use the same steps for larger paper as well. Also make sure that the orientation on Excel is set to the orientation that corresponds to the way the paper is loaded in the tray. If this does not help please consider contacting your support centre for further assistance.

How can I choose my printer's rear tray on my MacBook?

Hello everyone,
I have something strange going on on my MacBook when it comes to printing...
I would love to be able to print address labels, photos etc. on actual labels and photo paper using the rear tray of my printer (Canon MG5150). The weird thing is that I cannot for the life of me find the option to choose the rear tray. I have expanded the print dialogue to show all possible options, but there's absolutely no way to choose my printer's paper source. So I'm stuck with the standard cassette, which I do not dare use for anything thicker than normal printing/copying paper. Everything else printer-wise works fine from the MacBook, I just can't select the paper source (regardless which programme I'm working in on the MacBook).
Something else I've tried is downloading the latest printer driver from Canon. No joy there though, doesn't make a blind bit of difference. I've also tried opening programmes using Rosetta just in case, but that doesn't seem to change anything either.
My iMac never presented me with this problem; it always let me print from whichever paper source I wanted (using the same Canon printer). Some background info: my MacBook has Mac OS 10.6.8 on it, my iMac Mac OS 10.4. Could it have something to do with the operating system? They are both Intel, aren't they, so why would the options be there on one Mac, but not the other?
So, where could my menu options have disappeared to?? Have Apple changed their printing dialogues for the worse or something? It seems such a shame I can't use my MacBook to its full potential and have to resort to roundabout ways of being able to do what I want. I'm hoping it's something really obvious, and that someone can help me.

Hello-
You can restore network defaults on the printer.
Press the Setup icon. Then go to Network Menu, scroll down to "restore network defaults".
This should clear any "Admin" settings that were set.
Then you can turn radio on and run the wireless wizard to get back on network.

In the initial view, there are four pages, but if I click the "next page" button, there are a total of 12 pages in this document. This is three budget years, each year being 4 pages long.

You're most likely dealing with a dynamic XFA form created in LiveCycle Designer. You can open it, click the button, and save it, and it will most likely be 12 pages when next opened, but it depends on how the form is set up. The ability to make edits to an XFA form in Acrobat is very limited, especially for dynamic forms, so things like flattening aren't possible.
If it's not an XFA form, you'd still need to click the button at least once and save. To say for sure what's possible, I'd need to see the document. Can you post it somewhere?
