How to Hide Track changes according to Specific user?

Hello All,
We are developing plugin and we have to hide the changes according to specific user. We are setting the track change preferences using the methods provided by ITrackChangeAppSettings interface.
But as this interface is aggregated on kWorkspaceBoss it is applying the changes for all users.
Will anyone please suggest how can I apply changes according to particular users? any help is appretiated.
Thanks & Regards,
Praveen

Hello All,
For hiding the tracked changes according to particular user,i have accept the changes according to specific user. But i have undo the changes it means before saving i have to undo the accepted changes.I am using VOS_RedlineObject::UndoSimpleChange() method but it is not working.
Can anyone tell me other way for doing that?
Thanks & Regards,

I have legal agreements that were sent to me in Microsoft Word.  How can I track and show redline changes when I convert to a Pages document to make my edits.  The redlined changes or edits, then need to be saved back in word doc format and emailed on.

I think the Word document has to be saved with the tracking open so you can see it when you open the document in Pages. In Pages if you don't see the tracking go View > Show Comments, You might need to also go Edit > Track changes
More about this can you read in the Pages User Guide, downlaodable from your Pages Help menu. Chapter 4.

  • How to hide save changes alert window when no changes made to the form

    hi,
in my form when i close the form without making any changes it displays do you want to save the changes alert.how to hide this alert when no changes are made to the form window.
    regards
    Yesukannan

Be advised that this solution will also exit the form without saving the changes and asking anything if the user did make changes.
You're probably changing some field from a PL/SQL trigger (hint: post-query or when-new-record-instance are likely). If you set the value of a field from a trigger or program unit that also marks the record as changed for Forms. Forms will then ask to save the changes when exiting the form.
If you want to prevent this, reset the record status after you change the field in the PL/SQL code.

  • How to identify relevant BADIs to hide a screen field from specific users

We have a business requirement to hide a document item field (BSEG-XREF3) from specific users (i.e make the field invisible if the userid does not exist in a Z table) during FI invoice entry/maintenance/display via transactions FB01, FB02, FB03, FV50, FV60, FBV0, etc..  We know that it would be possible to do this via modification to the Process Before Output sections of LF040O00, LFDCBFM0, MF05AO00_DYNPRO_MODIFIZIEREN, MF05LO00, but would prefer to avoid modification if possible.
I believe that BADIs could possibly be used for screen enhancements, but have not had any previous exposure to BADIs, so I'm really not sure whether it's possible to use BADIs for our specific requirement.  For example, using the advice given in the 2nd post in thread BADI for contract, I've searched SAPMF05A for all 'CALL METHOD cl_exithandler=>get_instance' statements, and have found that a single BADI (FBAS_CIN_MF05AFA0 - EWT - Downpayment Clearing - Tax transfer for CIN) seems to exist for FB01.  The description of this BADI sounds completely inappropriate for our requirement.  However, subsequent posts in that thread suggest far more BADIs for the relevant transaction than were given when searching the ABAP for all 'CALL METHOD cl_exithandler=>get_instance' statements, so I'm not convinced that the procedure I'm following will provide me with all the relevant BADIs for the transaction.
Please can you advise me how to identify which BADIs - if any - can be used to control screens before output for FB01 screen SAPMF05A/332 (SAP R/3 4.6C)?
    Many thanks in anticipation,
    Jules

    Hi Kuntal,
Thank you very, very much for your prompt response and very useful alternative suggestion.
The screen variant solution would be invaluable under different circumstances, but would be too complex to administer for this particular issue because we're trying to hide the field from unauthorised users in over 100 invoice entry/maintenance/display transactions.
We can make a Process Before Output modification to 4 SAP standard programs (LF040O00, LFDCBFM0, MF05AO00_DYNPRO_MODIFIZIEREN, MF05LO00) to make the field invisible for unauthorised users (i.e. whose user-ids are not in a Z* table), but would prefer to avoid modification if we could use BADIs instead.  You've said that you're not sure how we can identify the relevant BADIs, but I very much appreciate the suggestion you've made anyway - it might be useful to others who find themselves in a similar situation for a more limited number of transactions.
Please can someone advise me how to identify which BADIs - if any - can be used to control screens before output for FB01 screen SAPMF05A/332 (SAP R/3 4.6C)?
    Many thanks,

  • How to hide and show Omniportlet based on user privileges

    hi all
I am trying to hide or show an Omniportlet based on user privileges, which means accessc control on portlet-level for Omniportlet. But I couldnt find out how to do it.
    According to Portal Developer's Guide:
You can hide and show portlets built with Web Clipping and OmniPortlet on portal pages dynamically by using security managers. Although Web Clipping and OmniPortlet do not expose security managers through the user interface, you can apply them by editing their XML provider definition file.
Question is: where can I find that XML file? Is this file accessible and configurable somewhere through Portal Enterprise Mgr?

    Hi,
I don't think you can edit this file through Enterprise Manager. Atleast as far as I know. But its available on the server. I have a NT installation and I found it under:
    D:\oracle\Mid_tier\j2ee\OC4J_Portal\applications\portalTools\omniPortlet\WEB-INF\providers\omniPortlet
You might want to restart the Portal application through OEM after you change this file.
    Hope this helps,

  • How to apply Software Restriction policy for specific user in local group policy object ?

I am working on implementing user based software restriction policy programmatically for local group policy object.
If i create a policy through Domain Controller,i do have option for software restriction policy in user configuration but in local group policy editor i don't have option for that.
When i look for the changes made by policy applied from Domain Controller in registry, they modifies registry values for specific users on path HKEY_USERS\(SID of User)\Softwares\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\Safer\Codeidentifiers
They also have registry.pol stored in SYSvol folder in Domain Controller. When i make the same changes in registry to block any other application, application is getting blocked.
I achieved what i wanted but is it right to modify registry values ?
PS:- I am using Igrouppolicyobject API

You also can modify a registry programmatically based policy. Check this:

  • How to hide the columns at the end user level thru personalization

    Hi all
how I can hide the columns that are displayed on the portal. Any personalize option for the end user? Any righ click or some thing?
I am looking at hiding columns not while developing the iViews / Pages, But in the browsers as the end user.
i can hide the columns what ever i want while creating the iViews for MDM data. but we cant provide the content administrator role to the end user for hiding the columns what ever they want. they want to hide the columns thru pesonalization option at the end user level.
Can you please let me know whether we can able to hide the columns at the end user level thru personalization ?? is it posible with standard iViews??
    Regards
    Sunil

    Hi Sunil,
I understood your requirement properly and seems valid and I tried this at my end but i didnt get the solution. Field list is not visible in Personalize option. I dont think it is possible with MDM standard iViews.
I was thinking an alternative is if some how we manage to give the permissions to end user only on Result Set iView but if it would be possible it will not be a good design.
Lets wait for some inputs from others.

    Hi Jenny ,
Well there should a way to change the Corporate branding dynamically
This is how we need to proceed ,
Step 1 ) Prepare all different logo 's that you want to print and place them in path i mentioned above
Step 2 ) Using profile potion we can change the Corporate branding image .
    (pls refer this : http://oraclemaniac.com/2012/02/22/change-the-default-oracle-logo-on-oracle-apps-login-page)
Step 3 ) From controller class we can dynamically change the value of profile option .
(pls refer this : Changing a profile value at the controller level )
    For you 2nd question :
you can set Destination URI OA.jsp?page=/oracle/apps/per/selfservice/absence/webui/AbsenceHomePagePG&retainAM=Y

  • How to hide not all but a specific database on a SQL Server 2008 R2 instance?

    Hello everyone,
I need help from all the SQL Server database security experts out there. Any solution/help or work-around will be really appreciated. Here is the scenario; our client is using our application which is a windows forms application
having in backend as a database under SQL Server 2008 R2 instance. We have successfully installed the SQL Server software with mixed mode authentication on client side, our application is running smoothly and everything is working fine. Our database on which
application is running is quite intuitive, in the sense, all employees information is stored in EmployeeMaster and all departments information is stored in DepartmentMaster and so on. It consists of more than 500 such tables, stored-procedures and views. We
have encrypted stored-procedures and views, problem is only with tables.
We don't want table structure to be visible to anybody in SSMS (or tables must be hidden from all the users) but at the same time the tables should be accessible from the application. And we don't want to go with the option of encrypting
the tables data and changing the names of all the tables to T001,T002..etc. as that is not feasible. And one last thing, we cannot restrict 'sa' login's password, it has to be shared with the client.
    Regards,
    Sumit R. Santani

Also, will you please enlighten me more on what you said as "couple of choices" if I want to lock out plain users only?
Assuming that you are selling a solution to a client, it's more an issue for your client's IT department, that do want their users to connect with Excel or SSMS.
Anyway, I have a brief overview here:
    http://www.sommarskog.se/grantperm.html#Othermethods
Again my question on that is how much reliable will be that license agreement?
That depends on the lawyer you engage to write the license agreement.
How would I come to know what they are doing with our database?
Trust. Trust is extremely important. It is very difficult to make business if you don't trust people.
That said, there are basically two reasons you want to hide the application from the client. One is protecting intellectual property. To this end, I know of nothing else than trust. And maybe after all, your application is not so fantastic that it is worth
    stealing anyway.
The other reason is that you don't want the client to change it, and then open a free support case when he has messed up. To this end there are some technical approaches you can take to detect such tampering. For instance, you can sign all stored procedures
with certificates using ADD SIGNATURE WITH SIGNED BLOB, and then ship only the public key of the certificate. This permits SQL Server to verify the signature, but the client cannot change the signature and sign it with that certificate, because the private
key is not available to them.

  • How to hide or change TCP/IP fingerprint?

After executing 'nmap -O -A 127.0.0.1', it returns some lines starting with 'OS:'. How to change it?

byte wrote:What messages, just the OS: fingerprint lines from nmap? Well, don't use OS detection or version scanning, read the manpage, grep -v the output...
Yes, only fingerprint. I want to prevent others from knowing the type of my OS.

  • How do we track changes done in KSH2?

    Hi Gurus,
Some cost center in the cost center group went missing. This happens a lot for the past months. I cannot find any log that record the changes. Any idea how can I check who make the changes.
Already considered limiting the authorization to KSH2 and use auth group. But still need to find the root cause to the missing cost center. Thanks.

    Hi
    Please try the T.Code:OKEON,
In this Screen select your Cost Center Group, Select Basic Data
Click on (Display Change Document) Icon in that you will get all the Changes related to Cost Center Group..

  • How to report/track changes to a solution package

We have some applications that are sox audited that I need to be able to provide a change managment report of application changes.   How can I show who, what and when were WSPs deployed to our environment?
    Thanks!

You can get the date of the latest deployment for each current WSP from Central Admin > System Settings > Manage Farm Solutions. What I can't tell you how get, (if this information is even still available, which it may not be) is  the "who"
of each deployment, if a WSP was deployed multiple times, and if a WSP was deployed but then completely retracted/deleted.
Typically in a sensitive environment, these types of deployments to production systems are handled through an internal change management process. If you have SOX requirements around this type of information I would recommend making future deployments follow
    such a process.

  • How to get track changes to put vertical marks in margin.

I have a massive collection of documents to amend, but our regulator will only accept amended documents where the changes are marked with a vertical bar in the margin.
I have managed this in Pages once in the past by importing a word document with this feature turned on, but have never managed it again, or managed it within a document created in pages.
    Is it possible?
If anyone can spare the pain and misery of converting all these table filled documents into word, I would be most grateful!

    Hello fruhulda
I disagree with the statement :
Pages doesn't have a feature which create vertical marks in the margin, but you can always use the Line shape, rotate it to be vertical and put in in the margin. It will not print when in the document margin.
The main text layer can't expand in margins but floating items may print.
I use this feature when I want to number lines of text.
In most iWork templates, the margins are wider that the non-printable physical printers requirements.
I'm sure of what I wrote for iWork '09.
    I didn't checked with iWork '08.

  • How to hide track points?

Is there a way to hide these? I find they are more in the way than useful:
    Example
Especially problematic here, where I follow Adolfo's advice and Alt+Drag the trackers

    Thanks,
I appreciate both answers, in this case Todd's solution is what I am after. I do want to see the trackers, it is the path that comes in the way, I want to hide the path.
Seems like I can do it here too, under Preferences:
