How to highlight text in a text box

In Acrobat 5 Pro you could highlight text created with the "FREE TEXT TOOL", I understand this has been renamed the "TEXT BOX TOOL" in Adobe 9 Pro. I can not highlight text created with the text box tool, can anyone help.

Have you tried the text touchup tool, select the text you want, and right click for the properties. I do not think you can highlight in a text box (the form tool for text).

Ever since the last upgrade, when I tap a cell to highlight it or add text a box pops up with text from other cells. How do I disable this feature?

How can I disable a pop up box that appears whenever I tap a cell in numbers for ios? This annoying feature accompanied the last upgrade. When I tap a cell to highlight it, a box pops up with all the words typed in the adjacent cells so I can populate the cell with one of them, but I neither need nor want the suggestions.

I don't know where to find the setting in Numbers for iOS, but in Numbers for Mac OS X it is under Menu > Numbers > Preferences > General > Editing.
Show suggestions when editing table cells.
As you can see, I don't use it.

How to recognize the text inside a text box

we have a scenario where we are validating the text inside a text box. Actually, we are inserting a text matching test on a node.
The scenario is like this:
When we open the screen it contains 6 text boxes.
We have to enter the text in the first 3 text boxes and save.
Then based on the entry the values are populated on the other three text boxes.
We have to validate the values in these text boxes , so we click and highlight the value.
Openscript identfiy the text box ,but it did not identify or recorded the values we have highlighted.
How to make the openscript recognize the values? Can we do it through menu options or else we need to write the code?
Any help will be appreciated.

I answer to myself:
Put all inside a PanelGroupLayout and set the layout to SCROLL.

Thanks. The PDF file was made from a web site article and I guess this is the same as scanned as I cannot highlight. The cursor changes but cannot highlight what I want.
I was able to add text and I did this in Red and will ask the VA to read under the sections marked in Red.

How to maintain focus in input text box?

I am a complete newbie with Flash MX, ActionScript, and
everything in between. So here's my situation.
I want to make it so the user has to type in a password to
move forward with the Flash presentation. When he presses OK, it
takes him to further into the presentation (i.e. Frame 20).
On my login screen, I have a couple of layers that are
animated. Thus, I need these animations to keep looping. So what
did I do? At the end of the animation, I put in code to
GotoAndPlay(1).
Now here's the problem... When someone's trying to type in
the password, when it loops (Gotoandplay), the input box loses
focus. To remedy this situation, for frame 1, I put in the code:
Selection.setFocus("txtPassword").
What happens? Everytime it sets focus, everything gets
highlighted in the input text field.
As you can imagine, it is a headache for anyone who is trying
to type in the password because every few seconds, the whole thing
gets highlighted and he accidently types over it.
Any suggestions?

1. copy the frames of your looping animation.
2. create a new movieclip and paste those copied frames onto
this movieclip's timeline
3. from your library drag a copy of the above movieclip to
frame 1 of your main timeline and attach a stop() to that frame.
4. place your login textfield and ok button on frame 1 of
your main timeline.
5. when ok is pressed (and login) passes some condition
direct your main timeline to frame 20.

There are a couple of ways of doing this:
If you're editing on the canvas, press Shift + Enter.
If you're working in Express View (see lower right hand corner of Project Siena), you'll need to copy a hard return from another app such as Notepad.

You have to add a FocusListener in the JTextField and override the focusGained() method to select all the text with JTextField.selectAll().

You can do this easily by using a "modify class" parameter in your web template.

How to increase the size of text boxes in FCPX without stretching the text inside?

There are two basic Title formats — I should say Layouts — available: Text (plain) and Paragraph. (The plain text version usually does not appear with the blue dot controls — those generally appear for the paragraph type control.)
If the Title is using a Paragraph layout, it's like having a mini version of Text Edit available inside FCPX. You can tell when you click on the text (when the title is selected) -- a rectangle will appear around the text like so:
double clicking on the text will give you the bounds controls which you can use to redefine the text area without distorting the text. Once selected, notice the button that appears in the top right corner of the canvas:
Pressing that will activate the ruler. You can right click on the ruler and add Tab Stops (left, right, center and decimal.)
So if the title uses paragraph formatting, you can create a very WYSIWYG type of display text (use the Text inspector to alter text selections within the paragraph bounds.)
