How to identify received mail is failure delivery notice mail in javamail?

Hi friends,
My requirement is that i have to identify failure delivery notice mails while receiving mails through javamail api pop3..
Is there anyway to idenity those among normal mails?

If you search this forum you'll find some examples, including a simple modification
to the msgshow.java demo program to illustrate the basic use. And don't forget
to read the javadocs for the com.sun.mail.dsn package.
The basics are...
Check for a message of type "multipart/report" (isMimeType), fetch the content of
that message (getContent) and cast it to a MultipartReport object, then use the
methods of that object to extract the data and process it however you want.

Interesting db mail issue. If i click send test mail from sql mgmt studio, it works fine, but when i execute a SP to send a mail, it fails. One thing I noticed is that the "LastModified" column in the mail log shows the domain account when a test
mail was sent from mgmt studio, but show "sa" when the SP was used to send mail.
This is from SQL 2012, did not see this in sql 2008, looks like 2008 always used the service account. any ideas ?

Hi Ranga,
I also use SQL Server 2012. I send a test email through SQL Server Management and the last modified By “sa”.
If you used stored procedure to send a test email. Please use the command below:
EXEC msdb.dbo.sp_send_dbmail
@profile_name = 'Adventure Works Administrator',
@recipients = '[email protected]',
@body = 'The stored procedure finished successfully.',
@subject = 'Automated Success Message' ;
I can both send test email through SQL Server Management Studio and SP. Make sure you have the right profile. Since you could send test mail via SQL Server Management Studio, please try again to send it via SP.

How to configure receiver communication channel in File to mail scenario?

Hi all,
I'm working in FIle-to-Mail Scenario. I did all the required configuration In Integration repository. As per my Scenario whenever a text file stored in Application server of the R/3 system. it should be sent as a attchment with a mail.so i set a sender communication channel with file adapter in sender R/3 system . i dont know which business system should i refer for my receiver communication channel.because my receiver end is a mail server. should i create any third party business system for this one?
can anyone suggest me to define a receiver comm channel in a right manner?

Well, I´m unable to receive calendar notifications after my father bought a new iphone and I put my appleid email as alternative email in his account just to revover his password in case of. I just receive emails with .ics attached.
I have tried anything, as deleting the alternate email adress on my father´s appleid, and still recieve the .ics attachments and no notifications. Furthermore, if I don´t download the .ics it won´t appear on my calendar.

Mail server failure. connection refused. too manay connections - when using sp_send_dbmail with job agent

I've a weird problem when I'm using "SP_Send_dbmail" to send a simple e-mail to two recipients using job agent.
The code i write is:
exec msdb.dbo.sp_send_dbmail
   @profile_name= 'Send Reports',
   @recipients = '[email protected] ; [email protected]',
   @Copy_recipients = '[email protected]',
   @Body = 'Whatever will be here',
   @subject = 'Daily Reports',
   @file_attachments = 'd:\MyFolder\MyFile.txt';
The error i receive is:
The mail could not be sent to the recipients because of the mail server failure. (Sending Mail using Account 1 (2015-03-03T14:57:17). Exception Message: Cannot send mails to mail server. (Service not available, closing transmission channel. The server response
was: service not available (connection refused, too many connections)).
Does any one know why i get such error???

Note that those only work if your recipients have allowed it to happen.
Also, Mail will not respond to them at all.

How to allow receive e-mail by IP address

I have question about how to receive e-mail.
We are using Mac OS X Server, is running Postfix mail service. This e-mail server is only for receive e-mail. And we will not create domain name for this. Is it possible sent e-mail to this server from outside? Suppost the WAN IP of this server is 200.200.200.200 and user name is admin. Can i sent e-mail to [email protected] ? Does postfix success get it? I have tried before, but it displays "Illegal address syntax" error message.

I want to send an email from my system which has an internet connection.
I don't know how to identify and mention the name of my smtp server ie; the smtp-host name that should be mentioned in my propetries object 'props' as props("mail.smtp.host","smtphostname");
I want this program to work on other systems also,ie; It should dynamically find out what is the smtp-email host for the computer on which the program is running and set the smtp-host name in the 'properties' object dynamically.
I will be thankful if anybody sends me code to solve this problem.

Write a mail scan to look for typical settings
such as domain, mail.domain, smtp.domain, smtp.mail.domain
where domain is after @ in an email address
Have a SocketSearch class that uses non blocking via java.nio.channels.*
so it can be interruptable and scan for these typical mail settings on default port 25 - The code using these interruptable socket can each be threaded to find the host/port and should find it in seconds
Once found, store the settings in a configuration so you don't have to scan again unless it doesn't work anymore...
If can't find the socket host/port via typical settings, next use a Java class that does a nslookup based on MX records - For example if you type "nslookup -type=mx javasoft.com" and you get mail exchanger = mail.java.sun.com and if you "telnet mail.java.sun.com 25" - you can see the port is open for sending emails.
No expert in MX records for a domain to find the exact one and someone else can share some light on this...

Every email I'm receiving as of this morning is accompanied by an email from [email protected], entitled "Internet Mail - Problem during delivery processing"
Is this an issue on the Mac server side or a problem with my Mail app?

My Wife and I both have an Ipad and an iPhone, I use an iMac and my wife a MacBook Pro.
I have this problem with all my devices.
My wife has NOT got this problem.
We both use a [email protected] email acount.
Just compared the settings:
For "Incoming server" I have p03-imap.mail.me.com
My Wife has p02-imap.mail.me.com .... and has not got this problem.
I have setup a new rule for incoming mails (for the meantime):
move all incoming emails from [email protected] to trash and delete it.
Works fine for now,......until APPLE deals with the problem.
