How to install 3 Excel Add-Ins in one deployment ?

I have 3 excel add-ins which work in conjunction with each other. I want the user to install all 3 at the same time, from one install package. How to do that?
I am following the steps in "Deploying an Office Solution by Using Windows Installer".
This is a single user install.
Just guessing, I have created a visual studio solution containing the 3 add-in projects as "existing projects". And the 4th project in this solution is a "setup and deployment" project type. InstallShield Limited Edition Project.
I am not clear if there should be a different destination folder for the .vsto and .dll.manifest files for each add-in.

We one development server(Linux) where one OBIEE 10.1.3.4 was installed with os user as 'ora1a' (Deployed on Oracle Application Server 10.1.3.4)
and now I have installed OBIEE 10.1.3.4 on same Linux Server with different user(ora2b) and different mount point (Deployed on Another Oracle Application Server 10.1.3.4 )
But My OBIEE was not working and I came to know that only one can be working by default.
After following few notes i have update NQSConfig.inc and odbc.ini with different ports ie from 9704 to 9725 and bounced BI server and presentation server
But still its not working can any one tell me what are all needs to update to make it work

I was not much clear about what you are telling
See my first OBIEE instance URL is http://hostname18.oracle.com:7777/analytics (As i deployed OBIEE on Application server 10g(OAS1))
and second one is http://hostname18.oracle.com:7778/analytics (As i deployed OBIEE on another Application server 10g(OAS2))
Also My port for first OBIEE instance is 9704 and second one is 9725(Which i changed to this)
Now tell me what are all i should update

Error 109 : MaxL api instance is not Active after installing excel add-in

Hello Gurus
I am getting error Error 109 : MaxL api instance is not Active while expanding essbase server in EAS console.
I am using EPM 11.1.2.1 on Windows server 2008 x64 with MS Office 2007 x32
EAS was working properly before installing Excel Add-in,
What i did is
1. I first installed excel add-in and when I clicked on connect Log-in screen didn't appears.
2. Then I reinstalled excel add-in and it started working properly and EAS was also working fine.
3. But after restarting VM, EAS is not working, it is giving error like "Error 109 : MaxL api instance is not Active"
4. I also searched on OTN for EAS issue and checked following environment variables
ESSBASEPATH : C:\Oracle\Middleware\EPMSystem11R1\products\ExcelAddin
ESSLANG : English_UnitedStates.Latin1@Binary
5. And also tried reinstalling EAS
Any help will be highly appreciated.

Hello,
I had the same problem, after add-in 's installation on epm 11.121
Without solution, I was forced to uninstall all epm and reintsall.
Is there another method to solve this problem ?

What’s the version of your SQL Server? If the SQL Server Integration Services version is 2012, we should use SSDT which can be installed from Shared Features or SQL Server Data Tools – Business Intelligence for Visual Studio 2012 which should be installed
separately or installed within Professional, Ultimate, or Premium Edition of Visual Studio 2012.
If the SQL Server Integration Services version is 2014(except Microsoft SQL Server 2014 CTP2), we can only use this tool Microsoft SQL Server Data Tools - Business Intelligence for Visual Studio 2013.
The difference between SSDT for Visual Studio versions as below:
SSDT-BI for Visual Studio 2013 (SSDT-BI for SQL Server 2014) will support various SQL Server versions as follows:
SSAS projects can target SQL Server 2014 or lower
SSRS projects can target SQL Server 2014 or lower
SSIS projects can target only SQL Server 2014
SSDT-BI for Visual Studio 2012 and SQL Server Data Tools - Visual Studio 2010 support versions of SQL Server as follows:
SSAS project can target SQL 2012 or lower
SSRS project can target SQL 2012 or lower
SSIS project can target only SQL 2012

How to silently install office add-ins and bypass the microsoft office customization installer popup

Hello all,
I want to install an office add-in for all the computers in my company silently. But when I use the commands "%~dp0\test.exe" /S. I receive the following popup.
Is there a way to bypass this to install the add-in silently?

probably, this file was downloaded via Internet Explorer, from the IE "Internet" zone?
If so, the Alternate Data Stream, on the file, will have the Zone.Identifier populated.
If you right-click the file in Windows Explorer, do you get the "Unblock" button offered?
If so, click Unblock, and then try your script again.

I am getting an error while doing installation of Jaba Add-Ins on existing ABAP.
Iam doing installation on AS/400 server having operating system OS/400.
Error appears at the end when instalaltion starts.
Following is the error.

HI,
Are you installing J2EE Add-in with SSL option activated ? If so, I think there is some IAIK/SSL libraries that have to presented on server to proceed with installation successfully. You can also try installing Add-in without SSL/https option activated and configure SSL afterwards.

How to Virtualise Excel Add on

I'm wondering if anyone has any advice. I've just started trying to get to grips with Application Virtualisation.
We use a 3rd party product InfoScheduler, for scheduling reports in Crystal Enterprise. On the machine for the app to work you need Crystal Reports basic tools and Excel. The app is basically a addin into Excel and uses the Crystal dlls to register against the enterprise server. The Excel addin only starts when you open a specific Excel file.
I was thinking of virtualising Crystal tools and Infoscheduler together, having already installed Excel outside of the recording program. But how do I get the virtual app to start for just this one Excel file ?
Or do I get the app to start Excel and then open the Excel from this instance ?

I've had a play and got the app to start Excel on the local device first and this seems to have resolved.

I have bought the add-on from Adobe to use it in Lightroom. My CC app says it is installed, but I can't find it in any of my CC apps (Lightroom, PhotoShop etc).

When you purchase an Add-on, the web page for the add-on has a tab that tells you where to find it and how to install it.
Go back to the page where you ordered it and look for the Where to Find It tab, shown below:

I just read in the March issue of Photoshop User magazine about optional plug-ins you can download from http://www.adobe.com/support/downloads/detail.jsp?ftpID=4048. It includes the Contact Sheet II plug-in among others. The article described how to install this plug-in but there are other things included in the Goodies folder that I'd like to install but not sure how. For example, there are textures but I don't see a textures folder where PS CS4 is installed. The readme file doesn't tell you how to install the features. Any help would be appreciated.

most things like textures, actions, brushes etc. can be loaded via the flyout menu in their respective palettes. the little triangle in the upper right corner? click that, you'll see "load textures" or "load brushes" etc.

I have Itunes 11.01 running on my mac 10.7.5.
And I been trying to figure out how to install some new visualizers. I've placed the files in the Library/Composition folder and it did nothing.
I've placed the files in the Library/itunes/plug-in folder and this did nothing.
I've even placed the files in the Music/itunes/Itunes media/Automatically Add to iTunes folder and this has gotten me nowhere.
Now how the **** do i get these files to work?

To add to Mylenium's reply, here's how to do it on Windows and this is what microsoft website says:
Why do I have to be an administrator to install a program?

If the program installs but does not run, right-click the program icon, click Properties, click the Compatibility tab, select the Run this program as an administrator check box, and then try to run the program.

The ThumbsDown add-on appears to have last been updated over a year ago. You may want to email the developer to ask that they update so that it is compatible with the latest version of Firefox. Please see the articles [[Unable to install add-ons or extensions]] and maybe [[Re-enable add-ons that were disabled when updating Firefox]].
If you are sure that you want to install the add-on regardless of potential issues, you can install this extension:

I am not entirely sure how it works, but it sounds like you may need to go to your '''about:config''' page to change the '''extensions.checkCompatibility''' preference to false once it is installed. You might then be able to enable your ThumbsDown extension.

Analyzer 7.0: Excel add-ins not loaded on opening workbook

we are having a problem with some of our workbooks which are using additional functions from a standard microsoft add-in (Analysis Toolpak - function "mduration" for exmaple).
The add-in is checked as "load" under Extras->Add-Ins.
Opening the workbook without analyzer is just fine.
When opening BEx Analyzer 7.0 and then the Excel workbook, all functions from the add-in (such as "mduration") only return #NAME, as if the add-in is not loaded properly.
Using BEx Analyzer 3.5 this DOES work, however.
We are on SAP GUI 7.10 PL11 with BI 7.0 Add-On SP10. Excel version is 2003.
Does anyone kow whether this is a known problem or if a solution exists (maybe with latest BI Add-On SP)?
