How to know Memeber or Data rejected during cube load?

Hi,
i am triggering the .CBS file from the DOS batch file. After that i wan to check wether some members and Data are rejected or not. Can you pls help?

using a cbs file means you are using EIS to generate your cube. It is not real easy to investigte the logs for it. On the EIS server is a logs directory that creates a datetime folder for every load instance. within thet folder are any error logs. (metadata and/or data load). If there are no errors there are no files. Sometimes with no errors, the folder does not get created, but 'I've seen other times when it does. I guess you could delete all of the folders in the directory and if ther is one, pull the files out of it using a bat file.

I think, you are looking for master data sources(text,attributes,hier).Am i right?
If so, This cube has almost all SD master data characterstics. So you can activate all the all master data datasources of SD in r/3 (SD-IO).
Any way you requirement does not stop only by using this cube . You will activate all other cubes in SD also. So if you want to activate only needed master data datasources when you are activating a cube, the job becomes senseless. There is no problem(wrong) in activating all master data available under that application , even though you want to activate only one cube.

In Oracle, we don't access schemas but schema objects.And this informationis not kept anywhere persistantly.As Amit also mentioned,if you do need it,you have to enable Auditing.

If user entered SAP dateformat in excel , no need to convert after uploading.
elseIf user entered user default need to convert to SAP date format.

need to give error.

else.

You can get the change details from table CDHDR and CDPOS.
Pass
OBJECTCLAS = DEBI
Object value = "Customer"
TO CDHDR and take CHANGENR.
and then pass OBJECTCLAS,Object value, CHANGENR to CDPOS. It will give the field name, old value and new value.

There are several threads on partitioning, so it would be a good start for this question (as with any question) to search the BI forums on "Partitioning" and review thsoe first.
Some basic considerations on partitioning -
- Your DB must support Range partitioning to permit partitioning your InfoCube. The option will be greyed out if it is not available.
- InfoCube must be empty to be partitioned.
- InfoCube can only be partitioned on 0FISCPER or 0CALMONTH. You can define it so that you have a partition for each month/fiscper, or so that each partition will hold a few or several months of data.
- Generally, you would not partition small cubes.
- Thru BW 3.5 Aggregates automatically get partitioned the sme way the InfoCube is partitioned as long as the partitioning characteristic is in the aggregate. In 2004s, I believe you have options as to whether an aggregate gets partitioned or not.
- Partitioning may be done for query performance reasons and data administration. If the queries on the InfoCube regularly run with restrictions/filters on the partitioning characteristic (FISCPER or CALMONTH), the database will "prune" any partitions that do not contain the FISCPER/CALMONTH value(s), so that it does not need to consider them , e.g. most of your users only run a sales query for the current and previous month, but your cube contains 3 years of data. By partitioning on CALMONTH (we'll assume 1 partition / month), the database will exclude all but the two partitions from consideration. This could help query performance a lot. or maybe only a little, depending on a variety of other factors.
Again - it is important that the queries restrict onthe partitioning characteristic to be of any value on query performance. So don't partition on FISCPER if all the queries use CALMONTH for restrictions.
The data adminsitration reason you might partition is to improve selective deletion or archiving time. These processes are capable of using a DB function to Drop the partition, which quickly removes the data from the cube, rather than having to run a resource intensive Delete query. This only happens if you deletion/archiving criteria is set to remove an entire partition of data.
Again - review the other threads on the BI forums on Partitioning. Most questions you have will already have been asked and answered before, and post again on SDN if there is something you still have a question about.

Members rejected during dimension load

Hi,
I am trying to deploy an application from Essbase studio. It loads few members and rejects few members. And it does not load any member to scenario and Version dimensions. I have the source in Parent, child relationship and the top most parent being #root for every dimension.
And when I preview the hierarchy, it shows in correct parent child relationship. But after the cube deploy, in the outline it is in random order. All parents are created under the dimension itself. And the error during cube deploy in Essbase studio is

If you look at the Error record it says you have same member/alias twice, check the source and see if you have special characters?
Also check for duplicate members.

How do we check intermediate data in Remote Cube

Hi Experts,
I want to check how the data is coming upto Remote Cube from Planning area.
Currently the flow is MPRO -> Remote Cube ->PSA (directly updates to to target , so data stored in PSA)-> Planning Layout.
Whenever I update data in the planning layout ->save-> and runs IP the data gets updated ( can check it in MPRO) .
How can i check the dat in between , also I tried to find out any docs. on the detailed mechaninsm of Remote cube but could find much .
Can anyone plz help with the detailed mechanism of Remote Cube links ?

A RemoteCube is an InfoCube whose transaction data is not managed in the BW but externally. Only the structure of the RemoteCube is defined in BW. The data is read for reporting using a BAPI from another system.

How to recover selectively deleted data in Transaction cube ?

hi Experts,
We load data in transaction cube from manual entry layout, flat file source as well and then subsequently to basic cube.
Selective deletion has been done in transactin cube and corresponding basic cube without giving proper selection condition. Therefore all the actual data for the month was deleted.
How can we recover all the months data ??
Its highly importantto recover the data as soon as possible. Quick reply will be really appreciated.

Query during Cube Load

Hi
Does anyone know from where we can get the sql query which AWM forms while loading the data in the cube.
At times when i write a simple sql in the back end by joining the fact views and the dimension views, by placing all conditions, i dont get the exact data which is seen in the cube.

When you maintain cube, there is one option that you can check (Save maintenance task to script) in the last window of the maintenance wizard. You can give the file name for saving the script.
I have not done that, but I think it will give you the script.

How can I disable web/data access during certain hours?

I have added a feature to my wireless account restricting my daughter's text/data/surfing access during evening hours. I thought I was pretty clever and assumed she would only have access to her music on her iPhone. Turns out she can still access all she wants using our home WIFI so my sceme is rendered useless. Other than confiscating her phone each evening, does anyone know how I can restrict wifi on her phone during certain hours?
Also, does anyone have a nano? Thinking she could use that for music and to set her alarm, but I don't think the nano has an alarm function.

No way to restrict it during certain hours. You can restrict it always, or never. Parental supervision is one solution. It's a losing battle to try to outwit children. It's better to require trust, with consequences if trust is breached.
