How to make a curve to join two objects editable?

Hi, I'm involved in a project in which we're doing a visual editor (written in Java). Now, I'm trying to make curves that join two different objects that I'm painting in a class that extends JPanel (this class is what I'm using to paint, inside a JFrame, overriding the method paintComponent). I'm in troubles because I'm using the class QuadCurve2D to make this, but I cannot make it clickable (I'm using the method contains, but it doesn't work everytime), make it editable (for example, setting a square in its middle point to modify its curvature. The point that is used on the middle of the QuadCurve2D when the constructor is called is outside the curve) or something (method, variable, iterator, etc) that could tell me which Points are in the QuadCurve2D.
After looking for all of that some time, I have no answer, so I'm trying posting it here to find a solution. Is there anyway to make it with the QuadCurve2D class, or do I have to try with some external library?

Used the Pen tool, but click on the correct icon on the top left on the Options Bar. That way you can get a Path instead of a Shape Layer.
Once you have your Path you can stroke it with a Brush or any drawing tool. Various options appear in the Brushes palette. For a dotted line you will need to increase the spacing. If you want dashes, use a square brush and set the Angle Jitter to Direction.

The problem with the datagridview is that it can only show one table.
For more tables 3th party datagrid's are better.
Although you can start with using the old datagrid. Despite what is written on MSDN is it a complete different control then the datagridview. You can add in to your toolbox by right clicking on it and then add it.
The datasource of a DataGrid can be a complete dataset which is showed with all its relations.

  • How to make a curve dotted line

    Hi there,
Since now 2 days I am trying to figure out how to make a curve dotted line with photoshop CS3 on WinXP. I know how to make a strait line using the line tool.
Now, how to make a curve line ? I tried the pen tool, but it ended up with a filled shape rather than with a curve line
How to set the thickness of this curve ?
How to make a dotted curve ?
Of course, I don't want to use hand-drawings with the brush.
Thanks a lot for your help,

  • How to make af: query (ResultComponentId) has two target values?

    hello all :D
i'm newbie in jdev, i have little problem with af:query.
how to make af: query (ResultComponentId) has two target values?
    thx
    agungdmt :D

I think you can simply set the second target control's partialTrigger to the af:query.
and access to the same binding attribute as your first target. (e.g.: if you have 2 target tables, set the value to #{bindings.XxxxxVO1.collectionModel})

  • How to make round curves when you are animatting with the Rec mode?

Hi! I am making a project in motion. I recored a freind writing words and stuff in the roof of my house with two flashlights. My plans was to follow the lights with motion traking: Analize move or match move. And then add a particle emmite for making something like this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MZf2W3S7gV0&feature=fvw . When i tried to make the match move it was imposible. So i desided to make it manually with the REC button. And it work perfectly, the only problem is that it can's achive the round cruves (bezier like). I can only make squared like turns and it looks awful. I have also tried bezier as a path but i don't know how to make the particle emmiter follow it with different speeds, becouse the movement of the flashlight is inconstant.
What can i do to make a round curved path and make a particle emmiter follow it with the rec button with the different speeds of the flashlights? Please help me!!!! I have to deliver this work for tuesday!
Thanks for you time y hope you can help me out as soon as possible.
    Juan Javier.
PD Sorry for my english! jajajaja.

    Hi
    Why was it impossible?
It sounds like tracking is the only way your going to achieve what your after given the way you've shot your footage and the spatial and temporal nuances therein.
You'll find comprehensive instructions on how to track particles to footage starting on page 49 of this document:

  • How to make only part of a PDF document editable?

I'm looking to see if there is a way to make only part of a PDF document editable. My problem is, I have pieces of collateral that some of our channel partners need to be able to add their logo to and then edit the contact information on them, but we don't want them to be able to change any of the main copy on these documents. The only thing I've been able to come up with as a solution is to create outlines of the text that I don't want editable, but I need the copy to be able to be read by computer systems for disability purposes. Does anyone have any ideas on something I could do for this? Or has anyone dealt with anything like this? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

    Hi vward26,
You can use Acrobat to make only part of a PDF document editable.
    Kindly refer this FAQ:http://tv.adobe.com/watch/acrobat-x-tips-tricks/how-to-convert-just-part-of-a-pdf-file/

  • Join two objects?

I'm still working on the map in my previous thread about changing the colour of a path and wanted to know if there is a quick and easy way to join two adjacent objects together. Some of the shaded areas in the map are composed of multiple separate objects and I want to join them all into one big mass.
    Thanks, Dominic

    Hey Dominic,
You possibly already know that you can joing to end points together through Object -> Path -> Join, if not give that a go, but the two points need to be on top of each other in order to do so. To join multiple paths or end points, you could try the same approach, otherwise I may actually leave this one to the experts.
Hope this helped out in some way.

  • How to make a glow around a person/object?

I want to just have a glow behind someone.  I know I could make a layer behind it, draw a soft line all the way around the object, and then blur it, but is there an easier way?  Maybe something that could make an automatic outline of an object?  Thanks in advanced.

Make your selection with one of the selection tools. I used the Magic Extractor
Place the selection on its own layer, and make the selection active (CTRL+left click the layer thumbnail) - should see marching ants
    Go to Layer>Layer Styles>Style Settings
Check outer glow and set the parameters for the glow.

  • How to make optimizer fetch and join values from Indexes, no table access.

    Hi All,
i am having a query which is just checking the existence of the values according to some of the filter criteria, and involves two tables in join. and i want optimizer to find the existence i.e the reult of the query by only accessing indexes only, not to go through table scan using indexes. The sort unique at line 5 is surprising, I can't think of an obvious reason why it should appear unless the optimizer is trying to do something very clever to work around a problem we can't see (such as a statistics error with the hash partitioned indexe).
Assuming that the test would do better starting with invoiceheaderdisn.paypkl I have to ask if you have an index on INVOICELINEDISB(INVOICEPK).The optimizer's choice of driving table indeed looks odd. Could it be due to misleading statistics or plain bug or just a case of CBO preferring a non-partitioned table over partitioned table when deciding the driving table? I must admit this design does look odd as it appears INVOICEHEADERDISB is a parent table and INVOICELINEDISB is a child table but somehow the parent table has been partitioned (using hash partitioning, I assume) but the child table is not.
However, once CBO has decided the driving table, the SORT UNIQUE is not quite surprising. Assuming optimizer knows that there is a parent-child relationship between INVOICEHEADERDISB and INVOICELINEDISB table (based on INVOICEPK column), CBO needs to access only INVOICEPK and UNITOFMEASURECD columns fron the INVOICELINEDISB table in order to process the join. It uses index range scan on UNITOFMEASURECD table in order to get (part of) the necessary data and then accesses INVOICELINEDISB table to get the values of INVOICEPK column. Being a child table, it is possible that the driving row source will contain duplicate values for INVOICEPK column but not necessarily sorted. As CBO knows that outer table (i.e. INVOICEHEADERDISB) has a PK on INVOICEPK column, each row in driving row source will have either 1 or 0 rows matching from outer table. It appears that CBO "decides" that by eliminating the duplicate values of the INVOICEPK from driving row source, it can reduce the number of times the INVOICEHEADERDISB table is accessed.
Now I am not sure if CBO does all this (eliminating duplicates from driving row source) only because the outer table is partitioned.
Coming back to OP's original question, I believe OP will have to change the index definitions in order to avoid table access for this query. But there has to be a strong and logical argument to make this kind of change for just one query.
    Hope this helps.

  • How to avoid Duplicate Records  while joining two tables

    Hi,
I am trying to join three tables, basically two tables are same one is like history table, so I wrote a query like
    select
    e.id,
    e.seqNo,
    e.name,
    d.resDate,
    d.details
    from employees e,
    ((select * from dept)union(select * from dept_hist)) d
    join on d.id=e.id and e.seqno=d.seqno
    but this returing duplicate records.
Could anyone please tell me how to avoid duplicate records of this query.

Actually it is like if the record is processed it will be moved to hist table, so both table will not have same records and I need the record from both the tables so i have done the union of both the tables, so d will have the union of both records.
But I am getting duplicate records if even I am distinct.
