  • How to make the last line of the textarea visible all the time?

    Hello,
    I am making an online chat application in JSP and XHTML. The chat log and online users names textareas are refreshed every 5 seconds. When it comes to many messages in the chat log textarea, the scrollbar appears. Then, every time the chat log textarea is refreshed, I need to move the scrollbar down to see the last line of the textarea.
    Are there any ideas how to make the last line of the textarea visible all the time without moving the scrollbar?
    Thanks in advance.
    Dan

    I put the below code on the page, but it didn't work.
    Are there any ideas? Thanks.
    <table border="0" cellspacing="1">
    <tr>
    <th>Chat Log</th>
    <th>Users now online</th>
    </tr>
    <tr>
    <td><textarea rows="20" cols="60" name = "messages" readonly = "readonly"><%= texts %></textarea></td>
    <td><textarea rows="20" cols="20" name = "names" readonly = "readonly"><%= names %></textarea></td>
    </tr>
    </table>
    <script type="text/javascript">
    <!--
    document.messages.scrollIntoView(false);
    //-->
    </script>

    Time Capsule only works for one device at a time, how to make it capable to be used for multiple devices at times.
    Please help to set it up, thanks in advance

    You need to give more info..
    Firstly only works for what.. networking.. backup.. wireless. You need more nouns.. more adjectives... describe what you want and what fails.. then we can figure out why.
    Most likely you have bridged it when it should be in router mode..
    Most likely you are using Lion or ML which has the airport utility bridge the TC by default.
    Change it to working as a router. That might help.
    If you press reset button it will default back to router btw.
    If you are on Lion.. use a real utility. http://support.apple.com/kb/DL1547

  • How can I map the composite_dn name with a composite in run time

    Hi All,
    I want to craete a report on number of total business and system faults with the help of Information Publisher in OEM 12c Cloud Control. I am fetching data from the table composite_instance_fault present in SOAINFRA schema. Below os my SQL statement:-

    Now I want to know that how can I map the composite_dn name with a composite in run time. When we fetch data from the repository we used to map target in rumtime by using ??EMIP_BIND_TARGET_GUID?? but here as I am not fetching data from repository, how can I map target in run time.
    On executing the above SQL statement its returing an empty table without any data.

  • HOW TO create a temp table or a record group at run time

    i have a a tabular form and i dont want to allow the user entering duplicate
    records while he is in insert mode and the inserted records are new and not exsisting in the database.
    so i want to know how to create a temp table or a record group at run time to hold the inserted valuse and compare if they are exsiting in previous rows or no.
    please help!

    As was stated above, there are better ways to do it. But if you still wish to create a temporary block to hold the inserted records, then you can do this:
    Create a non-database block with items that have the same data types as the database table. When the user creates a new record, insert the record in the non-database block. Then, before the commit, compare the records in the non-database block with those in the database block, one at a time, item by item. If the record is not a duplicate, copy the record to the database block. Commit the records, and delete the records in the non-database block.

    You already posted this in another thread. Why start another?

  • How to make a curve to join two objects editable?

    Hi, I'm involved in a project in which we're doing a visual editor (written in Java). Now, I'm trying to make curves that join two different objects that I'm painting in a class that extends JPanel (this class is what I'm using to paint, inside a JFrame, overriding the method paintComponent). I'm in troubles because I'm using the class QuadCurve2D to make this, but I cannot make it clickable (I'm using the method contains, but it doesn't work everytime), make it editable (for example, setting a square in its middle point to modify its curvature. The point that is used on the middle of the QuadCurve2D when the constructor is called is outside the curve) or something (method, variable, iterator, etc) that could tell me which Points are in the QuadCurve2D.
    After looking for all of that some time, I have no answer, so I'm trying posting it here to find a solution. Is there anyway to make it with the QuadCurve2D class, or do I have to try with some external library?

    Used the Pen tool, but click on the correct icon on the top left on the Options Bar. That way you can get a Path instead of a Shape Layer.
    Once you have your Path you can stroke it with a Brush or any drawing tool. Various options appear in the Brushes palette. For a dotted line you will need to increase the spacing. If you want dashes, use a square brush and set the Angle Jitter to Direction.

  • How to make a glow around a person/object?

    I want to just have a glow behind someone.  I know I could make a layer behind it, draw a soft line all the way around the object, and then blur it, but is there an easier way?  Maybe something that could make an automatic outline of an object?  Thanks in advanced.

    Make your selection with one of the selection tools. I used the Magic Extractor
    Place the selection on its own layer, and make the selection active (CTRL+left click the layer thumbnail) - should see marching ants
    Go to Layer>Layer Styles>Style Settings
    Check outer glow and set the parameters for the glow.

  • How to remove the black line from a stacked canvas at run time???

    Hi All,
    I've developed a stacked canvas within a content canvas, when I run the form the stacked canvas apeared with a black line takes it.
    How to remove this line or how to disappear this line at run time??
    I tried to do this by putting (no line) in tools palette to the line color tool after selecting the black line one and after selecting the stacked canvas another once, but this did not resolve the problem!
    I need something else:
    I put the stacked canvas at detail data block and it didn't appear since I execute query in master data block
    How to appear the stacked canvas directly before executing query in master data block???

    Hi,
    u mean the border line? In stacked canvas property, select contour/outline and set it to none.
    Make sure, the stacked canvas is behind the content canvas in the objectnavigator. Then check your
    properties of the stacked canvas:
    - Position on content canvas
    - size
    - size of clipping
    Set stacked canvas property automatic visible to yes.
    Make sure the stacked canvas is not overlayed by other stacked canvas or items.

  • How do with change table cells from staticText1 to button1 in run time?

    I have two question:
    first: I think change table's cells from staticText to button in run time?
    how do?
    second: I think change table column's order in run time?how do?
    ex:
    =============change before===========
    name age
    wtu 22
    =============chnage after=============
    age name
    22 wtu
    thanks

    Try something like this:
    1. Drop a Table. By default it has three columns.
    2. Drop a button inside the third column. Set its id property to buttonInColumn3, and set its rendered property to false.
    3. Drop another button, this time outside the table. Set its id property to buttonOutsideTable.
    4. Double-click the buttonOutsideTable and make the method look as follows:
    public String buttonOutsideTable_action() {
    //switch the first two columns
    List cols = tableRowGroup1.getChildren();
    Object col = cols.remove(0);
    cols.add(1, col);
    //toggle between showing staticText3 and buttonInColumn3 (in the third column)
    staticText3.setRendered(!staticText3.isRendered());
    buttonInColumn3.setRendered(!buttonInColumn3.isRendered());
    return null;
    5. Run the application and click the button outside the table several times.

  • How to change value of instance variable and local variable at run time?

    As we can change value at run time using debug mode of Eclipse. I want to do this by using a standalone prgram from where I can change the value of a variable at runtime.
    Suppose I have a class, say employee like -
    class employee {
    public String name;
    employee(String name){
    this.name = name;
    public int showSalary(){
    int salary = 10000;
    return salary;
    public String showName()
    return name;
    i want to change the value of instance variable "name" and local variable "salary" from a stand alone program?
    My standalone program will not use employee class; i mean not creating any instance or extending it. This is being used by any other calss in project.
    Can someone tell me how to change these value?
    Please help
    Regards,
    Sujeet Sharma

    This is the tutorial You should interest in. According to 'name' field of the class, it's value can be change with reflection. I'm not sure if local variable ('salary') can be changed - rather not.
