How to make a endless navaigation bar

I saw on a lot sites a bar that fits on the screen resolution. It is endless i think but the main site is then the same resolution. How do i make that bar?

Animation Help - how to make an endless animation loop

Hi All,
I'm new to Director so bare with me.
I want to animate a filmstrip graphic that moves left horizontally across the page and eventually repeats itself (reenters the stage from the right side) in an endless loop. Think of a piece of masking tape taped together in a circle, and then rotate the piece of tape in a circle as you look at it.
What I am currently doing that doesn't work:
I have created two filmstrip graphics that I have put on different sprites and animated them so that they look like a single piece sliding across the screen. The page loads with Sprite A lying across the screen and starts to animate towards the left. Sprite B follows the right hand side of Sprite A so that it appears as one single graphic. Each graphic is the exact width of the stage. The problem occurs when I get to the end of the 2nd sprite. I want the first sprite to follow the 2nd sprite creating an endless loop. If I code some lingo at the end of the Sprite B to jump back to the beginning of the Sprite A animation, it gives an awkward jump that replaces Sprite B with the Sprite A contents.
Hopefully my description makes sense. Suggestions or pointers to a tutorial that explains how to do this? My lingo experience so far is VERY limited, and only covers a few pages of very basic commands covering animations, video playback, audio controls, and a few other minor descriptions provided by my instructor.
I am working with Director 11.5 on a Mac at school (fully licensed version), and 11.5 trial version on a PC at home.

The first one is using Shockwave 3D and making the image a map on a cylinder. The second one is a 2D image that loops, which is what I kind of understood yours as being.

Newbee help, how to make a outlook styled bar.

Hi all,
I'm a beginner in Java and i want to make a toolbar that's like the outlook bar feature in the left hand corner of the screen, where you have a series of buttons ( or button like components). By clicking on any of these buttons, the screen is split up and displays a menu of components according to the button that was clicked. The position of the buttons also changes when it is clicked.
What i want to do is to open a frame (or something) when you click on one of the components in the menu.
I want to implement such a functionality in java. Can some one out there give an idea as to which swing components could be used to implement the above, because i realy don't know how to do this. Or if any one has done a similar thing, your code sample would be of much use.

be of much use.Use a JMenuBar or a JToolBar for the outlook style buttons. Use a JSplitPane for your divisions in your UI. Search the tutorials (see left) for details and app notes on each.

How to make address and awesome bar not auto-expand?

I'm looking to customize firefox's appearance. I want two rows: one with the menu button, tabs, and awesome bar (in that order), and another with the forward/back buttons, address bar, home button, and bookmarks toolbar items (also in that order).
In both cases, the address bar and the awesome bar expand to fill all of the empty space (ei. my awesome bar starts spanning almost the entire row) and shrink as more items are added (ei. as I open more tabs). I would like to make it so they have a set size.

That's exactly what I did.
I created a chrome folder here: (home)/Library/Application Support/Firefox/Profiles/(....default)/chrome
Within which I created a userChrome.css file that reads:

Nonono! I was in Mr. Metric; I wasn't in Graphics. I saw the bottommost toggle and wrongly believed it to be a co-dependent of the Angle positioner. When I just now went back and got it to self-identify by placing the cursor on it, a definition of function showed up so I then did use the toggles to read "0."
So... logically and theoretically that horizontal bar of about an inch or so ought to be absolutely LEVEL at the top of the page, with 0 tilt, but for some reason that title bar appears to be tilted lower on the right. I checked the whole thing to see how and if it could be one of those visual illusions created by differing header sizes, perspective points, etc, but NO. No apparent reason for that title bar to appeat just slightly lopsided.
OK, since it is for a rock band, and since all the other graphics are tilted, I am going to stop spending time on it and pretend that it was meant to be not quite level. There. I've talked myself into it. Wow, that is NOT me at all.

I'm not sure if I understand you. You want to make a menu that shows some movement? I think you mean static center focus is the place where the focused button will stay, and those who are focused move towards that point.
If is that, it can get a little more complicated that it seems. You want it more graphically or just a HListGroup that changes its options by pressing right and left buttons is enough?

How to make the "other" yellow bar smaller

I have a 16 GB i phone 4s. The past phone was an 8 GB 4, on that phone i could hold 3,000 pictures, apps, and songs. Now on my 4s i can only hold 500 pictues less apps and less songs. i went on itunes to see why this was and saw the "other" bar was using 11.6 GB! I have deleted all of my emails, internet history, but still hasnt helped! Anyone know whats wrong???

The "other" contains the iOS and app data. If it's much beyond 1 GB (usually less), it's filled with corrupted data or metadata errors.
The only way to get rid of the excess "other" is to restore the phone, first using a backup, and if needed as a new phone, without using a backup.

Is it a touch panel on which you will be using the LabVIEW Touch Panel Module (Windows CE)? If it is on a Windows CE machine, you cannot create custom controls (actually you can, but the changes will not appear when you deploy the actual application, since the module uses the native Windows CE controls). If you are deploying to a Windows XP machine, you can can create custom controls in normal LabVIEW like smercurio_fc said.

I am using jdev 11.1.1.6
i have created a combination graph which has a bar and line.
The data with respect to bar and graph were only visible when i keep the mouse pointer on it.
i need to set the values visible always.
kindly let me know how to make it.
In pie graph its by default showing the data always.

In the Attributes of a screen field, there is an attribute called "Groups". This has 4 options for input (4 text boxes)
SCREEN has 4 fields GROUP1, GROUP2, GROUP3 and GROUP4.
The first text box under Groups attribute corresponds to SCREEN-GROUP1,
2nd text box for SCREEN-GROUP2
3rd text box for SCREEN-GROUP3
4th text box for SCREEN-GROUP4

I just set up a new IMAC 27" for my mom and she cannot read the menu bars and tabs in Safari. I know how to make the text of the webpage itself bigger, but is there any way to make the text in the menu bars and tabs bigger. Someone sugggested Opera browser. Would that be a better option?

Welcome!
I had the same issue with my 27-inch--here's how I fixed it:
1) Go to System Preferences > Displays and select the "Displays" tab
2) For "Resolution" there are two buttons: "Best for Display" and "Scaled." Select "Scaled."
3) Now you should see a list of resolutions. The default is probably 2560x1440. Change it to 1920x1080.
I don't have great eyes but this setting makes it easy for me to see. It makes all menu bars including Safari about 3/10ths inch wide and the menu lettering close to 1/4-inch tall.
