I have created a simple "bufferedreader" protocol handler as described in JDK documentation:

To activate the protocol I'm explicitly setting the system property before creating the URL:
System.setProperty("java.protocol.handler.pkgs", "sun.net.www.protocol.bufferedreader");
I have created a unit test that runs perfectly, but when putting the same logic inside web application deployed in Weblogic 10.3 I get MallformedUrlException saying that protocol "bufferedreader" is unknown.
I have also tried to put -Djava.protocol.handler.pkgs=sun.net.www.protocol.bufferedreader in the server's start up script, but with the same effect.
Any ideas what could be wrong? Or any information on how WebLogic's url protocol handling is working? Is it different from standard one?

No, we went for another solution :(
We needed new protocol to support inclusion of XSLTs, but we used UriResolver interface instead.

I've managed to move these custom icc color profiles to ColorSync folder in HDD Library, so that that they are available for all the users. However, I cannot figure out how to make these icc profiles work as default profiles for all users and not only the one I used to calibrate monitors.
Is there a specific place I have to put custom icc profile to make it system default?

If you put the profiles in the root /Library/ColorSync/Profiles/ folder, then each user needs to select them in their account. There isn't a way to apply them globally so each account automatically comes up that way.

I was on iOS 4.3 before and i used to create the AAC version and then change the file extension & that file would come up in the Rimtones in iTunes, After the iOS 5.1 i m unable to add the custom ringtones to my iPhone from iTunes.

Was having this problem too. Discoverd that that there is a "tones" top menu next to "music" under your iphone settings. I'm not sure if this is new or not (I am a new iphone owner), but if you check on sync tones they will download.

I also faced the same requirement. U can do one thing like remove the obligatory keyword of that parameter/select-option. U can handle the same using the program in at selection-screen event. See this sample of code,

I have been using the original Apple charger cable that came with my phone (iPhone 5C) for a good year, but then it broke. So I bought this non-Apple cable because I didn't really wanna spend a lot of money for an original one. I have already charged my phone with third-party cables before, so I thought it would work. The first time I used the non-Apple cord, there were minor difficulties because I had to plug and un-plug it several times before it actually charged. 2 days later, I plugged an original cable (which was my sister's) to charge my iPhone. Obviously, it worked. But later on, when I went to charge my iPhone with the non-Apple cable, a message popped up (This accessory may not be supported). I dismissed it, thinking it would still charge. No such luck. I tried to unplug and plug it, but still, it won't charge. Now, I have to charge through my laptop. Can anyone tell me how to make third-party cables work? I don't really wanna bring my laptop everytime I charge. I'm planning to only use this cable until I get my hands on an original one. Please help.

Are you seeing the EE (or T-Mobile) network name and network bars in the top right hand corner of the screen? Turn off WiFi (Settings>WiFi - turn this off). Is there anything next to the network name in the top right hand corner (3G, E or o)? E is Edge and o = GPRS.
If there's nothing next to the network name, turn off the iPhone and then turn it back on. To do this, press and hold down the button on the top until you see the 'Slide to Power Off' message. Slide and then wait for the iPhone to shut down. To turn it back on again, press and hold the top button again unti lkthe Apple logo shows on the screen.
EE and signal bars top left = Yes
Turned off Wifi and next to the EE is 'o' which you say is GPRS? What does that mean please??

There's no way to edit line endings in ID. You would have to make a compound path from a line with no ending and a second path or shape for the end.

I believe the port for the mobile should be port 8080 and 8443.

How to make "visa find resource" working with Agilent device

I am trying to use Agilent 82357B GPIB device with LabVIEW for instrument control.
I have checked:
1.       NI-VISA (ver 5.1.1) is the primary visa by checking visa.dll properties under windows\system32 folder
2.       Enable NIVISATulip.dll in NI Max Explorer
3.       Enable the Agilent libraries to work with NI 488.2 in Agilent IO library (ver 16).
I am able to communicate with the instrument in Max Explorer and talk to the instrument in LabVIEW with VISA write for almost all commands.
But I can NOT make one particular visa function (Visa find resource) working with Agilent 82357B GPIB.
With NI USB GPIB device, the same code above can find attached instruments as below, where GPIB1 is the Agilent device and GPIB0 is the NI device.
I have no clue on how to make “visa find resource” working with Agilent device.
Please help.

We are working in our project to make custom reports as archive enabled so that they can read archived data.
Need some information on the below queries.
1.Is there any function module to read selected data from archive file? For example i don't want to read the whole BKPF table data from archive file instead want to get belnr and bukrs only.
2. What are the perfromance measure which can be taken while making an existing program archive enabled
3. Important archiving tables which can help for the above.
4. When i use the function module "Archive_open_for_read' then system displays a pop up to select the archive files based on the archive object.
Considering that all the reports are run in background how do i make sure that in background run all the archive files are selected and processed.

1. You have to create a separate field catelogus and AIS according to your requirement with the required fields you want . Because the standard structures and field catelogues contains many fields from all tables. So before doing the read operation you have to deactivate the standard AIS and activate your newly created AIS .
2. Can you give some more details for this question to be answered.
3. The important archiving tables used are ARCH_IDX,ARCH_RPRG,ARCH_DEF.
4. While scheduling the Read process in batch mode , it will give you three criterias to be entered.
     . Spool Parameters
     (ii). Start date
     (iii). Archive selection of files.
    Unless you enter values for any one of these options , You cannot execute the batch job.

How to improve custom protocol speed?

I used RMI to get an array of shorts from server.
Then I thought that using RMI for transferring arrays of primitives
is not a good idea, that is why I decided to create my own protocol for
transferring data.
The other goal to implement my own protocol was to show a data
transferring progress to user.
I thought it was not easy to do it with RMI If I am wrong let me know
how to do it with RMI please :)
Unfortunately my protocol implementation works slower than RMI.
Here goes code for simplified version of my protocol.
Can anyone suggest what I should do to make it work faster.
Protocol is designed to transfer data provided by FooData from
FooDTPServer to every connected FooDTPClient.
The protocol works as follows:
FooDTPClient connects to FooDTPServer and sends code that indicates
that it is a client(all codes are described at DTPCodes).
Server replies with code that indicate that it is FooDTPServer.
Client asks server for data.
Server sends a length of data it is going to send and then sends the
data.
If client wants more data it sends new request for data.
If it wants to close connection, it sends special code.
If client sends wrong code at any state of conversation with server
the server closes connection.

A lot to quote up there, but as for moving away from RMI, since you have the code and in my personal estimation there's really not THAT much overhead for non-remote return types, is there a reason you wish NOT to stay with RMI for this if you have that ability?
I would however suggest also GZIPping the short[] array and other data as that will save on xfer time, either in RMI or your own personal protocol.

PCM File Requirements for Custom Ring Types
The PCM files for the rings must meet the following requirements for proper playback on Cisco Unified IP Phones:
â¢Raw PCM (no header)
â¢8000 samples per second
â¢8 bits per sample
â¢uLaw compression
â¢Maximum ring size-16080 samples
â¢Minimum ring size-240 samples
â¢Number of samples in the ring is evenly divisible by 240.
â¢Ring starts and ends at the zero crossing.
â¢To create PCM files for custom phone rings, you can use any standard audio editing packages that support these file format requirements.
Configuring a Custom Phone Ring
To create custom phone rings for the Cisco Unified IP Phone 7965G and 7945G, follow these steps:
Procedure
Step 1 Create a PCM file for each custom ring (one ring per file). Ensure the PCM files comply with the format guidelines that are listed in the "PCM File Requirements for Custom Ring Types" section.
Step 2 Upload the new PCM files that you created to the Cisco TFTP server for each Cisco Unified Communications Manager in your cluster. For more information, see the "Software Upgrades" chapter in Cisco Unified Communications Operating System Administration Guide.
Step 3 Use a text editor to edit the Ringlist.xml file. See the "Ringlist.xml File Format Requirements" section for information about how to format this file and for a sample Ringlist.xml file.

Does anyone know how to make a custom language pack for thin clients?
All I managed is to edit *.mo and *.qm from EasternLanguagePack and pack it into a xar archive, so I was able to see russian text if I choose for example Japanese. But the problem is that this xar is installed every time a thin client is rebooted. And it is not convenient to choose Japanese (or say French) to get Russian translation.
Any information on creating translations for thin clients would be helpful.
We tried to ask russian HP office (becuase we need russian translation), but they refused to help.

Steps to fill empty cell with '0':-
1. Select intersection cell in cross tab.
2. Go to properties tab.
3. In Text Format section, click on Number Format button.
4. Select Format type is 'Number' and check the Custom check box.
5. Enter 0 in all text boxes(Positive, Negative, Equal to zero, and Undefined).
6. Click ok.
Now you can see 0 in the Emply cells of cross tab.
If you want decimal values, enter 0.00 in Positive box.
