Is there any build in VI which could do that? I am looking for a way to divide 2 array of same length and would give me another array (same length) [1 3] / [2 4] = [1/2 3/4]

All the linear algebra operations are on the "Analyze...Mathematics...Linear Algebra palette" (LabVIEW 7.1 and below).
If you have LabVIEW LabVIEW 8.0, there is a new matrix data type which will use linear algebra operations directly if you wire them to e.g. a multiply node. Check the online help for details.

OK, while I don't understand the reasoning behind the algorithm, I have implemented Case (1) and Case (3) with a simple demo using static data. It's just simple math, nothing fancy.
(I haven't fully tested these, so there might be bugs. They are in LabVIEW 7.1, do you need a lower version?)

I do not know how to multiply

I have 994 cells in a column. I want to multiply the number in each one by a specific number, call it X.
I have never used a formula in a spreadsheet before. I assumed the Fx "Product" was a good choice, I typed = into the first cell in the column, inserted PRODUCT and then typed (C), which is the column heading and then X) So in the formula bar I had: "=PRODUCT(C,X)" and every time I get a red arrow in that cell stating that "This formula can't reference its own cell, or depend on another formula that references this cell."
I have tried to use other cells, same problem, I tried an empty cell at the top and bottom of the column, I tried using the name of the column instead of the letter. I tried using the operator as in (C*X). I also tried using (C1:C994, X) In short I have tried everything I can find in the manuals re: how to do this and it may be real elementary but apparently I cannot get it to work.
And I lied, I do know how to multiply, I was just hoping to not have to multiply all 994 cells myself one at a time, Can someone please help. Thanx.

I'm guessing you entered the formula into column C. Placed in C5, for example, it says "multiply the number in C5 by the number in X5 and put the product in C5. The formula won't work as it tries to use the 'number' (actually, the result of a formula) in C5 as a factor used to produce the number in C5.
=PRODUCT(C,X) can be placed into any column except C or X, and will give the product of the numbers in column C and column X in the row containing the formula. Placed in column M, it will give the results shown for the data entered in columns C and X:
C ... M ... X
1 ... 5 ... 5
5 ...10 ... 2
3 ... 9 ... 3
For simple multiplication of two values, using the multiplcation operator ( * ), as Badunit suggested, is the simpler route.

How to use Sprout to do vector image tracing of jpg images using Adobe Illustrator or Canvas?

How can you project jpg images on the touch screen and trace from them into a vector draw program such as Adobe Illustrator or Canvas? Can one do such tracing with the magnetic pen on the touch pad. Can one use the magnetic pen on the touch pad much like a mouse in such programs?
In general how well can one use Sprout with programs like Canvas and Illustrator?

I believe if you export it to wmf or emf you will have a Vector file that can be used in word or powerpoint and can be placed in other programs as can ai files which can be placed in word or powerpoint documents as vector files.
Flash (swf) is another way of saving it and it is also vector.
However even though you say you will never have use for Illustrator which is what I thought in 1995 when I use it to create a logo, I soon found more use for it and every year since have found a project that has rewarded me many times the cost of the application once I had purchased it. Most of which I never thought I had the need for and probably would not have even made the attempt to make the effort and the profit if I did not own the license.
And every time I say to myself what do i have this application for the opportunities arises yet again.
I thought I would share my experience with you.

First, back up all the information on your Windows partition. Then run Boot Camp
Assistant to restore your disk to a single volume. Restart your computer and use Boot

I have a vector v1 which is getting populated by the resultset of the database. This vector has another two vectors vrow & vcol .

Thanks for your suggestion. It is working now except that I am having problems in getting the charge NUmber out....Charge NUmber is nothing but a String.

How do I "un-invert" new Vector Masks?

This is driving me crazy.
If I select a Path or Work Path from the Paths Panel,
then select a Layer from the Layers Panel,
then Command-click the Make New Mask button (at the bottom of the Layers Panel),
I get a new Vector Mask applied to my Layer....
But it's inverted. The shape of the Vector Mask is hiding that portion of the layer. In other words it's like my mask is a cookie cutter and just made a hole in my layer.
How do I create a new Vector Mask and hide everything else on that layer except the area of the mask?

Isn't that obvious? You've had the wrong button pushed by accident, you've spent time drawing a complete complex path, and now you really would like that path to be the OUTSIDE of a shape, and by gosh you really don't want to switch the options then draw it again.
John has listed the proper restorative answer. Select the path, then change the option button.
Keep in mind all this is changing in Photoshop CS6 with the advent of shape layers, which are kinda sorta the same under the covers. But different.

Java2D advanced blending mode (multiply, overlay, divide, ...)

Hi everyone,
on a RFE I voted for, I read that new blending mode such as multiply, overlay, divide, lighten, etc will be optimized with Dolphin.
I am developing a full-screen java game and the AlphaComposite is sometime not sufficient to make the effects I need. I have been implementing the blending modes I need manually but this seriously decrease my frame rate. I would love seeing these "standard Photoshop/GImp" blending modes added to the optimization pipeline.
The proposal was to make use of pixel shaders leverage to achieve this in DOlphin.
Any news that could make me happy ?

My concern is that this wonderful implementation by Romain Guy is not going to wor for me since my game fps would be seriously decrease if I break the hardware optimization pipelines. The openGL and DirectDraw pipelines are working really well and new optimized blending modes would definitely be valuable.

e.g. if we have done MIGO for quantity 10 and the rate maintained in the PO is Rs.100.Then at the time of MIRO system should not allow to change the quantity and rate.
How we can do this?

Hi,
You are misunderstanding the use of MIRO.
If you change the details in MIRO you are NOT changing anything. You are just entering the price and quantity from the Invoice.
If this price and or qty is different from the GR aqty and PO price then the system will block the invoice for payment (and it can issue messages toinform the buyer if configured correctly).
The whole design of MIRO is based on the principle that you enter EXACTLY what the vendor has put on the invoice. By preventing the users from changing anything you will get NO mismatched invoices, but you will not be paying the vendor the amount specified on their invoice. This will surely cause problems.
If you do want to ensure that ONLY the GR qty and the PO price are used and cannot be changed then why not consider using ERS (Eveluated Receipt Settlement. this is basically self billing.
Effectively you will be paying the vendor based on what you have received in MIGO multiplied by the price from the PO. (which is what you would be doing if you stop any changes in MIRO)

Decide which iPhone will be keeping the current iCloud account. On the one that will be changing accounts, if you have any photos in photo stream that are not in your camera roll or backed up somewhere else save these to your camera roll by opening the photo stream album in the thumbnail view, tapping Edit, then tap all the photos you want to save, tap Share and tap Save to Camera Roll. If you are syncing Notes with iCloud, you'll also have to email your notes to yourself so they can be recreated in the new account as they cannot be migrated.
Once this is done, go to Settings>iCloud, scroll to the bottom and tap Delete Account. (This will only delete the account from this phone, not from iCloud. The phone that will be keeping the account will not be effected by this.) When prompted about what to do with the iCloud data, be sure to select Keep On My iPhone. Next, set up a new iCloud account using a different Apple ID (if you don't have one, tap Get a Free Apple ID at the bottom). Then turn iCloud data syncing for contacts, etc. back to On, and when prompted about merging with iCloud, choose Merge. This will upload the data to the new account.
Finally, to un-merge the data you will then have to go to icloud.com on your computer and sign into each iCloud account separately and manually delete the data you don't want (such as deleting your wife's data from your account, and vice versa).

How do you stop Mountain Lion from making endless copies and backups of everything?!

I already have a similar topic on this when I needed to figure out how to stop Mountain Lion from making endless copies of my text edit files and I was going to try the disabling of it that someone in that thread suggested, but I can't find where the Versions backups are being stored.
Anyway, tonight I cam across a new problem, when I went into "about this Mac" and looked at my Storage, I had almost 1gb of data in the "backups" section. I just happened to have Finder open when I went into the Time Machine in the status bar and when it entered Time Machine, I had dozens of copies of my desktop. Thing is, I don't have my Time Machine hard drive connected and I don't have a Time Capsule router/hard drive. And don't give me this garbage about how "It's not real backups, it's just a snapshot" or whatever, because the ONLY things that I have stored on my computer that I have altered since I got mountain lion is two Text Edit files and the Finder Desktop (and yes, I have checked almost all the programs I use, and of the things that Time Machine will open in, those are the only things that have backups listed that I can access) and almost 1gb is being taken up completely needlessly with the computer backing up things onto itself. Obviously these are more than just snapshots and are obviously the real files because after throwing EVERYTHING on my desktop into a file, that file is only 3.8mb in size, so that almost 1GB in backups is coming from SOMEWHERE.
The solution I aluded to in my first sentence also depends on going into the Terminal to make each individual app stop auto saving Versions, however, since my desktop is being backed up, there's no program to stop Mountain Lion from doing that.
Can anyone help me figure out how to make it stop backing up? Seriously, almost 1 gb is being totally wasted on a series of desktop items that are 3.8mb in size, one Text Edit file that is 250kb in size, and another text edit file that is 41kb in size. What person in Apple would possibly have thought this endless backing up of files onto the main hard drive would have been a good idea? So in a year if I did nothing but go on the internet, save one picture to one file on my desktop and did nothing else with my computer, would I have 200 gb of desktop backups that the computer saved onto itself? Are you kidding me? OR failing that, can anyone tell me how to find this damned backup file and delete it? I'm not an idiot, I know how to plug in a hard drive or flash drive and backup my information, I don't need my computer to be making hundreds of copies of every single file on my computer that I change slightly onto itself that not only needlessly eats up it's own space, but if the hard drive died, all those "backups" would be gone too because it wrote the backups to itself.
I am so frustrated by this totally ridiculous and wasteful "feature" they put in, it does nothing but waste hard drive space with it's hundreds of copies of everything you alter slightly. And I am absolutely not starting any video editing projects until I figure out how to turn this off. If around 4mb of total text and desktop backups add up to almost 1gb in a few weeks, what the heck is a video editing project going to end up in with size? Am I the only one completely flustered by this ridiculousness? Is there any point in writing into Apple to complain or are they just going to say "No, we're brilliant, we think this is an amazing feature so you just have to deal iwth it and when your hardd drive fills up, too bad, jerk!"?? Help! Thanks!

Short of that, no I have been capable of making my own backups since I was 16 years old (16 years ago) I don't need my computer to endlessly do it for me in a way I am completely unable to shut off. That's what I have external hard drives, flash drives, a DVD burner, Drop Box, E-mail (as in emailing copies to myself) and icloud for. If I am doing something and I don't have access to a single one of those options, I don't know why I brought my computer with me in the first place. And I don't see how you can say it's an illusory gain in disk space, hundreds of copies of text documents, garageband files, Final Cut files, Motion Files and basically any program that makes files onto my comptuer that I can myself make incremental changes to, those all need to be stored somehow. Again, if you can explain to me how July 26 - Aug 16 is a week, I will agree with you that that is a good thing because IF it only saved for a week, it wouldn't be an issue. Sadly, no matter how many links you post, I still have text edit backups stretching from today back to July 26. They're not going away and I have no reason to beleive any other file I edit is going to go away either since they haven't been. They're all there eating up HD space and this imaginary "week" limit is simply not coming into effect. I hate it and there needs to be a simple way to simply shut it off. I didn't spend hundreds of dollars on external drives just for my main hard drive to be filled up with hundreds un useless, undeletable backups of stuff I already have backed up.
