How to open multiple vis at a time

I'm having one main vi. In that my own menu is running.By clicking the menu i want to open and run different vis at a time.But i can to able run only one at a time.Anybody help me please.Its like opening many child windows from MDIwindow in VB

Too many VIs missing to make a good example of the ones you sent, however I have made an example for you; download the attached llb file and open the main.vi in it...run it and you will see two VIs pop up, they are the "children" which produce data. Move the sliders in the child windows and you will see the values reflected on the front panel of main...
Use the type of global shown in the example, it's called a functional global...Rebuild it to hold whatever data you want to share among the VIs. Using functional globals are much better than using ordinary globals (as described in the text I referred you to in the first answer).
A few comments about the example; here the fundtional global just holds the last value, it does not buffer the valu
es. If you wanted to ensure that what was displayed on the panel of main.vi you would e.g. make the global a a circular buffer.
Controlling where on the screen the children pops up would be preferable; in that case you would read the position of main prior to opening the children...and set the position of the children so that they fit nicely at one of the sides of the main window...
Here the children monitor the front panel of main.vi and close if that panel is no longer open...a more general approach would be e.g. to use notification and perhaps also rendevouz to synchronize the exit...

I have made a look at your VI. I don't have the driver for the instrument I couldn't go into the subVIs and its documentation and I could not change it for you.
1. You initialise only 2 of the 4 meters. Initialize all meters.
2. In sequence 0 you close the session to the meter. In the next loop iteration it will not measure as you intended. Delete the "VISA Close" function.
3. The stop button would cause the while loop to exit. But your handling is a little bit complicated. Do following:
Delete the "not" and case where the stop terminal is connected. Wire the stop terminal directly to the termination terminal of the while loop. With the context menu set it to "stop if True". Wire the VISA sessions to the right border of the while loop and connect t
hem to the "VISA Close" function.

I have one doubt in Webdynpro with java. How to enter multiple inputs at a time?
For Exam My requirement is we will take employee details node under node empid, name, sal etc some attributes is here
Client asking like this enter multiple inputs at a time that data will saved in ECC System.
1.     By using form how can enter enter multiple inputs at a time I donu2019t this so I will take table(here I will select input fileds). If any possible in form also tell me how I can enter multiple inputs at a time.
In table suppose 6 rows available So He will enter
                         empid, name, sal ,firstname, last Name
                         empid, name, sal ,firstname, last Name
                         empid, name, sal ,firstname, last Name
Like 6 time Click Submit. That data will save in ECC.
So I was taken table. But in that Table only first row will be editable. I want all 6 will editable that time he will put data in rows then click on submit.
How to editable these remaining rows? if u have any documents pls send me.

Dear Vijay,
To enter multiple inputs in a table and to make the other rows editable you have to provide that node with initial values.
by initial values I mean you have to make that much space in your table node.
For example the name of Node is yourNode & you have empid, name, sal ,firstname, last Name
attributes in that node, and you have to make 6 rows editable.
Then, simply write this code in you wdDoinit() method of your view controller.

e.setAttributeValue("empid" , "") ;

Change YourView with your view name & YourNode with your node name.

Doug's got it right. It sounds like you are trying to open a later version file in an earlier version. This will always be handled as opening the PDF portion of the file. Try Googling AI_openMultiPagePDF for a script to open these or Resave from the newer version to the older.

Can I open multiple bookmarks at a time like on the desktop version of Firefox has Open in All Tabs?

The desktop version of Firefox allows me to open multiple bookmarks at a time when they are all in a particular folder. I cant seem to find a place that allows this in Firefox Beta. Does it even exist and if not please tell me you plan on adding it.

How to open multiple hotmail accounts at the same time ?

Seems maybe normal for some people but I coming from internet explorer and with this explorer I was able to open multiple hotmail accounts at the same time, by default firefox can't do that, is there some setup to modify to open these at the same time ?

Hey, what im trying to do is open multiple images in photoshop cs3 and then blend the images together. But the problem that i am facing is that i can only open one image at a time. Can someone tell me step by step how to do this.

i dont belive i have tabbed view, what i just did, was i draged one photo into phtoshop and then another. When i look to my right, only one iamge shows up in the layers and the other seems to have dissappeaed.
It seems that having a tabbed view is useful, how do i set photoshop to this?

It processes multiple requests using THREADS. Each Connect starts off a thread that handles the receipt of the message, submission to BizTalk, wait for the response (matching two-way subscription) and then respond back to the client.
TCP/IP Send ports handle multiple requests by creating fresh sockets (RPC High-end ports). As an example, in your browser you open multiple tabs and access different sites, each tab results in your browser opening a fresh socket connection for the request.

How to open multiple jpgs in Adobe Camera Raw PSE 9 Mac

I am using Adobe Elements 9 on a Mac. I can open a single jpeg file in ACR with the file open command. There is no "Open As" in my version, probably because this is the Mac version. But, there is an additional dialog which allows me to open the jpeg file and select "Camera Raw" as the type. This opens the jpg in the raw editor.
But, when I select multiple files to open, the type dialog vanishes. Rather than opening the files in ACR, they are stacked in the main editor. I don't have this problem opening multiple dng files - just multiple jpg files. Multiple jpg files will not open in ACR.
I then went to the organizer, which replaced Bridge? In Bridge, I read there is a command to open multiple files in ACR or use the cmd-R. However, I am not seeing an open in ACR command in the organizer, just open in editor. Opening multiple jpg files in the organizer stacks them into the editor, not ACR. And, typing cmd-R brings up Red Eye reduction, not Raw Editing.
Is there a trick to this which I am missing?

I’ve been using this for a few years and settled on the somewhat more flexible approach… As you mentioned, Bridge offers an explicit command to open a JPEG or TIFF in Camera Raw, which I do, but then with a press of Shift I can open that JPEG as a smart object and revisit CR controls for further adjustment at any time later in the process.

I'm interested in creating a format plug-in that will open multiple image files and combine them, then provide one image to Photoshop for further work.
1. Can an .8bi plug-in receive notification of multiple files to be opened? (Not unlike Camera Raw). Or does one absolutely need to use an .8ba Import plug-in to do this? I would prefer .8bi.
2. Assuming yes, could the latter parts of the plug-in interface be used to open just one combined image?

1) An import plugin (8bi) doesn't get file information - it has to provide it's own open dialog. Only a file format plugin gets a file, but only one at a time. (ACR has some special magic)
You might want to take a look at the PhotoMerge and MergeToHDR setups with a script driving a plugin.

Russell Brown has a CS4 version of his services.
As Wolf points out, if you have CS4 then you already have access to a script that will also do what you want. I happened to notice though, that the built-in script and the Russell Brown script work slightly differently. The RB script will crop all images based on the first one loaded. The built-in script will apparently use the dimensions of the largest image.
It was a nit but I thought the title of the thread would be more accurate as "Help opening multiple images as layers in a single file" or something like that.
