How to output 3D Surface Graph as image file (bmp or jpg or png)

I'd like to output a graph from the 3D surface.vi module as a regular
image (like a JPG or BMP).  At this time, I'm going through an
awkward process of taking a screen cap, then isolating the image with
photoshop (painful and time consuming).
Any idea or input would be appreciated.

RIght-click on the graph and "create...invoke node". On the diagram, select method "get image".
Save the output of "image data" as JPG, BMP, or PNG using the tools from the "Graphics Formats" palette.
(The code shows would get a 24bit PNG image)
See how far you get. Good luck!

  • How to embed/show an image file (.jpeg or .jpg or .png) into a Oracle 10g report file (.rdf)

    Hi All,
Morning , have an urgent requirement and need some guidance regards this.
we are currently having an existing Oracle 10g reports file (.rdf)  lets say with name : Testing1.rdf .
The report output is getting generated in a pdf format . it opens up in a pdf format..
Now we want to embed an image file lets say : (logo.jpeg or logo.gif  ) into the report output..at run time the image from the image file should show up in the report output.
Could someone please help as to how this could be achieved..and what approach we could follow for this...
    with regards
    Thanks as always !!

    Hi All,
Morning ...just a follow up question to this original post : embedding the image files at runtime into an Oracle Report..
We were able to achieve this by entering the folder location where the image files are place on the server in the REPORTS_PATH env variable in the report.sh file.
Then we update this filename like file1.jpg into a table and from there we fetch this in the Oracle Reports data model directly.
for The layout field we select the option as Image.
    All this works fine..
Issue : The resolution of the embedded image in the generated report output is very low ...means the image appears there but it is not very clearly visible ..is there any way we could improve the IMAGE RESOLUTION in the report output....?????
    With regards

  • HT204003 how can i print a boarding pass image file from passbook?

how can i print a boarding pass image file from passbook?

I do not believe that Passbook supports printing. You can email, but not print. Then again I'm not sure what it actually emails, if that is a graphic of the card or what. I'm going to try it with my Starbuck's card, but there is no setting for printing within Passbook.
EDIT: Actually it sends the email as an attachment for a Passbook card file, that cannot be handled by my computer. Hope that answers your question.

  • How do I convert file to gif, jpg, jpeg, png, bmp, or swf

I mad a page in COMIC LIFE. I saved it, then when i went on photobucket.com, it gave me a message saying
The file "" does not have a valid image extension.
Valid image extensions are: gif, jpg, jpeg, png, bmp, swf.
    HOW DO I CHANGE IT?
    Thanks

I have never used Comic Life, so I can't tell you how to do it from there. But you could open it in Preview. Control-click the page in the Finder and choose Open with... set it to Preview. Once in Preview, do a Save As and change the Format there.

  • How can I do to convert a ".PNG" image file to a ".JPG" or ".BMP" one?

My problem is to save an image (after processing and with overlay information!) to a standard file (JPG, BMP, ...); if I do it directly with the related VI's, the overlay information is lost; I can save the image in a ".PNG" file, which contains the complete information with overlay, but is not displayable on a LabView-less PC ! How can I do?
Thank you for your prompt answers.
    Francois

    Hello Francois,
As you noted, BMP and JPG file formats do not support overlay information. There are two approaches to your problem.
    1. Write to PNG file. PNG is not a LabVIEW specific file format. It cannot, however, be read by simple programs such as Windows Paint. Paint Shop Pro, Photoshop, among other more robust image viewing and editing programs can handle PNG files that LabVIEW generates.
    2. Flatten the overlay information into the main image before writing to BMP or JPG. I don't believe this functionality is built-in to LabVIEW, so this would require some programming, perhaps quite difficult. That is why LabVIEW supports PNG files.

  • How to keep a copy of the image file on memory card when using tethered shooting with a Nikon D800?

I love tethered Shooting but as default (at least for Nikon) Lightroom does only save the file on the computer, not on the memory card.
Now I want to have a backup of the image file on the memory card additionally to downloading it. The tethering software digiCamControl can do this with my camera, so it is technically possible.
So how can I achieve this using Lightroom tethering?

Thanks. FWIW I'm very keen on improving tethering and lobbied Adobe endlessly until they added the overlay for shooting into layouts because it was a major reason why some of my clients were unable to switch to Lightroom from PhaseOne. But we have to be realistic and remember that tethering just isn't a key market for Adobe as it is for PhaseOne, so progress is painfully slow. For example, where is live view or setting exposure which are in PhaseOne? I'd be amazed if we get those features for a few versions, and that's why I point serious tethered shooters to other solutions. And realistically, assuming your understanding of the SDK is correct you shouldn't expect a change until the next full version of Lightroom.  Good if it happens, but I wouldn't bet on it.

  • Output to PDF not supported image files

In generating a pdf from Output to PDF in Bridge CS5, I get this dialog: "Contact Sheet Processed. Some of the selected files are not supported image files." Some of the files are included in the PDF and some are not. I'm making a PDF of INDD files, and can not find a difference between the files that generate and those that don't. I've never had this problem before. Any thoughts, anyone?
    Thank you,
    Emmy

" Some of the files are included in the PDF and some are not. I'm making
a PDF of INDD files, and can not find a difference between the files that
    generate and those that don't.
That should not happen, double check if the filenames all contain the
correct extension and there is only one dot in the filename, the one in
    front of the extension (.indd)
Also use the purge cache for folder option (menu tools/cache/purge cache for
folder) when having Bridge poited to the folder with the problem files.

  • How to save a selected word image to image file in open XML in PNG format?

    Hi Everyone,
I have a very strange problem. I want to extract the image from word using open xml sdk. Here the user selects the image on opened word, and then clicks on any button, so it should extract the same selected image to any predefined location in the PNG format.
I also tried to do the same thing using Word API, there I am copying the selection of image to clipboard and then getting the image and converting it to bitmap and saving it, but the image resolution is coming very bad. Is there any method through which
I can save the image to file either by Open XML sdk or Word API using C#.

  • How do I re-organize my lightroom image files

I realize that this may be covered in similar discussions, but nothing I've been able to find is exactly the same as my issue, so I'll try a new thread:
I'm on an Imac running latest versions of everything.  I copy my images from the camera card to a hard drive folder (When this folder reaches 4gb, I create a backup DVD and and start a new folder).  I move the images from the internal hard drive into Lightroom. (Approx. 10,000 images)
As the internal HD fills, I move the oldest original image files to external drives.  These drives are also now filled, so I have purchased a 2Terrabyte LaCie Raid.  This gives me 1TB of usable and will hold everything that is now on the internal and the externals. I will use the old externals for archived images in an off site location.
I would like to move everything that is image related to the new Hard drive.  I will keep the Lightroom program files on the internal drive, but all the new and old images and their associated (sidecar) files I would like to move to the new drive.
What is the best way to accomplish this.
    Thank you
    Steve

In addition to Pete's excellent help, it might help to, before you move your files, right (or control) click on one of your highest level folders, and select "Add Parent Folder". In a typical folder structure, this will add a single top level folder that all your folders sit inside. Then quit Lightroom, move your images folder in its entirety in Finder/Explorer and then reopen Lightroom. Now right (or control click) on the missing folder and relocate the missing folder. This will save a lot of relocating. Also check out this article by Forum host Ian Lyons.

  • Since installing Tiger my images files are missing .jpg and won't open.

Upgraded to Tiger a month or so ago. Now when I open some images files there are two extra items in the folder. One marked FINDER.DAT and another folder marked RESOURCE.FRK in upper case. My images will not open because the .jpg has been removed. I can retype the .jpg and they will open, but we are talking over 4000 images here. What happened? G4 Quicksilver, OS 10.4.10, Photoshop Elements 3, Toast Titanium, Firefox, Seamonkey, Safari, etc.

Copy this script into Script Editor, compile it, and run it on the .DAT folder:
    Add Prefix/Suffix to files script:
    <begin script>
    tell application "Finder"
    activate
set the chosen_folder to (choose folder with prompt "Pick the folder containing the files to rename:")
    set the prefixorsuffix to ""

    end repeat
set the file_list to (every file of the chosen_folder) as list
repeat with this_file in the file_list
if the button_pressed is "Prefix" then

  • How can I send photos to external image files?

Photoshop starter edition came pre-loaded on my computer when  I bought it new 8 years ago. I have rarely used it except for doing some basic cropping but stopped using it altogether when I discovered that I cant move any Photos OUT of photoshop when I'm finished editing. I'm certain its a fine product but since I'm not a photographer and rarely need  any serious editing or other services I would much prefer to have my collection of photos accesible to me at any time I need one. Photoshop will not permit me to do this. Hopefully you can explain why this is so I wont have to blow away a perfectly good product and ALL my photos that have been grabbed with it. Thank you,
    Michael Hoaglin
    [email protected]

    Hi Michael,
Can you explain what you mean by moving photos OUT of Photoshop? Generally you would open your photos in Photoshop, and then export or save it as an appropriate file format (e.g. JPEG, TIFF), depending on what you intend to use it for. From there you can then move it around your file structure outside of Photoshop (just remember where you saved/exported it).
    Is this what you meant?

  • Is it possible to convert a standard image file (i.e. JPEG, PNG, BMP) to be read by an imput requireing stdole.Picture?

I have recently began using an ActiveX toolbar that allows button images to be loaded. The required input is of the stdole.Picture type. Is there any way I can convert standard image data to be read acceptd by this input?

You should be using an ImageList control for your images. Place an ImageList ActiveX control on your panel, right-click on it and select ImageList->Properties. In the dialog box change to the "Images" tab and import your pictures. Then set the Toolbar's ImageList property to the ImageList that you have. Search MSDN for more information on using the Toolbar and ImageList controls.

  • How to output to an excel file?

    Hi,
I have written a program that gets data from the database and I like to find out how to output the data to an excel file. I have read about similar topic on the discussion board and the solution are for the online application. Mine is a desktop application. The user can specify what the destination file is. Can anyone help. Thanks.

The simpliest way is to take your data and write it to a Comma Dilimeted File which Excel can read without any problems or user intervention. You would use an ObjectOutputStream. Hope this helps.
