Hi friends,
I have created some groups in OIM and I have created a new field in OIM user form. Now i want the group values visible as new field values.
How the database table values can be made visible in OIM field ..?
please help me in doing it

To default fields, you need to do the following steps :
1. Create a Z module e.g. : Z_DEFAULT_FIELDS_DIALOG.
2. Enter suppose you want to default fiels Name, title, country, write code as follows :
DATA : ls_busdefault LIKE busdefault.
ls_busdefault-title = '0002'.
ls_busdefault-mc_name1 = 'TEST'.
ls_busdefault-mc_name2 = 'Default'.
ls_busdefault-country = 'IN'.
    CALL FUNCTION 'BUP_BUPA_FIELDVALUES_SET'
    EXPORTING
      i_busdefault = ls_busdefalut.
3. Now got to transaction BUS7, select event ISDAT, click on Event--> function modules.
4. Register your Z module Z_DEFAULT_FIELDS_DIALOG in this list, Save.
This should solve your problem. Please note : You can only default those fields contained in structure BUSDEFAULT.

To put ur own values in the F4 help of any field...all u have to do is.
1st fetch all the records that u need to display in F4 help list...in one internal table.
and then use the function module 'F4IF_INT_TABLE_VALUE_REQUEST'
call function 'F4IF_INT_TABLE_VALUE_REQUEST'
exporting
retfield =
value_org =
tables
value_tab =
return_tab =
exceptions
parameter_error = 1
no_values_found = 2
others = 3.
where retfield is the field for which u need to give the F4 help.
and valu_tab is the internal table in which u have the list of records to be displayed.
this would do the work...

Actually I wanted to know whether there is any command to change the owner ship of the table.
For ex table1 belongs to user1. can the owner of table1 to be changed to owner2.
directly using an oracle command. I knew that it can be done using import and export, since the table was 200 million thought the rename command would be faster instead of import and export.

Updating AD Attributes via OIM user forms

Hi,
I have configured an AD connector. Firstly, I did a trusted recon to create the OIM. Next, I did a user recon to link the AD user to the OIM user. After that I have configured to pre-populate to show the AD attributes onto the OIM user form.
Now, what I want to do is to update the AD attributes (eg. Mobile) in the OIM web interface, and has it reflect back to AD.
Appreciate a detail description as I am very new to OIM.

You may want to try this:
a. Add an entry in Lookup.USR_PROCESS_TRIGGERS
b. Add a Process Form field and a Process task in each Process where you want to push the value.
The task should have a name "<UDF label> Updated"
c. Create another one called "Change <UDF label>"
d. Make the tasks conditional, "allow multiple instances"
e. Wire the "Change <UDF label>" to copy values from the user profile to the process form
f. Wire the "<UDF Label> Updated" to the connector adapter.

Custom Attribute in OIM user Form is not populated.

I am new to this Identity Manager Technology. I really all ur support.
I am using oracle Identity Manager 9.1.0.2 version with JBoss server. The Target System is Sun One directory.
1. I added the custom field street in Resource Object--Object Reconciliation Tab for Xellerate User and also for Iplanet Users objects.
2. In Process definition, for iplanet user provisioning Process and Xellerate Users provisioning process, in Reconciliation Field Mappings. I mapped the street field to the UDF(street) and also for UD_iplanet_Street .
3. When I run the task schedular for Iplanet User Recon, the string associated with the field in Iplanet is reflecting in resource profile of the user view/Edit. However, it is not populated in OIM User Form Field.
Can you please help me in resolving the issue. I will provide any further needed information.

Yes. I tested it.. I can see the street field in the process form is populated with the string. However, I cannot see the same in the OIM User Profile Form. That Means, When I go to User folder in Admin and User Console, Manage Users and then select the user associated with the street field, the street field for the user is not populating and is empty without any string.

so here's the scenario.
i have a program that retrieves information from the database and display it in the JTable. i have JTextBox to search users by "Name" and when i click JButton "search" it will populate all the users that has the "Name" in the JTable.
i already know how to populate a JTable at first like giving a JTable(row,column) or a model = new DefaultTableModel(row,col). but
i dont know how to *"Re-populate"* values in the JTable? an algorithm/steps/code snippets on how it will work will be a great help. tnx!

How to populate column value from a sequence in adv table

Hi Everyone,
This is my requirement. When a user clicks on add another row button of advance table a new row should appear with ID column populated as a sequence value. For eg: When the page renders for the first time, no records are shown in the advance table. when user clicks on add another row button a new row should be added with the ID column poplulated as 1. When the user clicks on add another row button for the 2nd time, the ID coulmn value should be 2 and so on.
After user clicks on submit button data will be inserted to the data base table.
Please tell me how to populate the column values with a sequence 1,2,3 ..so on on click of add another row button.

Multi Value User Defined field on OIM user form

Hi Everyone,
I have a requirement where i need to assign multiple resources to user as per access policy. These resources should be assign by virtue of some role (custom attribute as of now). The specific requirement is that one user may have multiple roles (and hence resources) and all these values should capture in any user defined field. As the requirement contains multiple Roles so we have to create multi-value user defined field for User form to capture all these role values under single attribute. Does OIM provides any such multi-value field OOTB (lookup, drop down--any customize way we can make them multivalue)?

He's right. Multi Valued attributes on the User Profile are not available in OIM. If you want to do this, and you have a finite number of possible roles, you can create UDFs for each and map a checkbox or something to it if the user has that value. Then base your acccess policies off those.

Why do you have to use RMI for this task? That way you've got to write both a client and a server. Just use JDBC directly from the server.

How to populate various values in a text item

I have a simple form based on a single tables containing name, address, city, state, zip1, zip2 and country fields. On form I am only displaying the zip field which captures value from zip1. Now my delimma is to populate zip2 values when country changes from USA to some other country. What trigger I need to place and soem hints please.

1) In SE11 -> Delivery and Maintenance tab, select 'X', Display/maintenanace allowed...
Activate the table..
Then in the menu bar , Utilities->Table contents -> create entries...
Using this u can create new entries into ur table..
2) Use an ABAP code to download the table data.. and then upload the same to other table..
Select * from Z*** into table g_itab.
if sy-subrc =0.
Insert ZPRP from g_itab..
endif..

How to pass the value that the user clicks on

I have a bunch of files that i am displaying. If the user clicks on a file I am taking to another page. I want to capture
the value that the user clicks on as that's the file name.
I am displaying the list of files in a loop and have a href to the next page.
the setAttributes and getAttributes do not work as they capture only the last value in the loop.
Any suggestions what I should use?

The standard approach is to send a request parameter with the click.
You are showing the filenames as hyperlinks?
Then you just have to make the link
<a href="fileDetails.jsp?fileId=<%= currentFile.getFileId() %>">currentFile.getFileName()</a>You can then use request.getParameter("fileId") to find which link was clicked.

How to get database out of single user

Hi
SQL Server 2005. Had changed database to single user/read only option. Now I cant change database back to multi user and all commands are getting stuck.
Msg 924, Level 14, State 1, Line 1
Database 'db1' is already open and can only have one user at a time.
I have tried all below and failed to get around this issue
sp_dboption db1, 'single', false
alter database db1 multi_user with rollback immediate
I cannot select the spid with as I get Msg 924 with below commands which all get stuck.
select spid from sysprocesses where dbid = (id of database)
sp_who does not show
What can be done to get out of this as this is a production server and difficult to restart midweek.

I had a similar problem when the Query Tab for the single user got closed accidently.
1. I logged in through DAC. I tried killing a SPID (sp_who2) that I thought had the lock but could not get access to the database and I could not bring the database to muti-user mode.
2. I logged on as sa, but I could not bring the database to muti-user mode.
3. I tried re-starting the SQL Server instance (Test Server), the instance would not stop.
4. I had to reboot the Database Server (Test Server). The database recovered on it's own.
I was then able to bring the database to single user mode, ran check db and then brought the database back to multi-user mode.
