How to recreate a C structure in Java?

Question

Hi,
I think most of u will be familiar with C structure data type. How do we recreate that in Java? For e.g there is a structure called Employee containing the foll. fields...
struct Employee
     int empId;
char * empName;
     and other fields;
Should I
1. create a class in Java called Employee without any member functions
OR
2 use some Collection class like Hashtable etc. to hold these values?
e.g Hashtable h = new Hashtable();
h.put("empId","abc");
and so on.
Pls let me know which approach is suitable and the pros/cons of each .

you cannot create structs in Java. instead create an internal class
public class ExternalClass
    class InternalClass
        String field1;
        int field2;
    public InternalClass ie;
    public ExternalClass(String some, int stuff)
        ie.field1 = some;
        ie.field2 = stuff;
    public static void main(String[]args)
        ExternalClass ec = new ExternalClass("rubbish",1);
        System.out.println(ec.ie.field1);
        System.out.println(ec.ie.field2);
