How to remove empty space in CSS table and move spry menu bar?
Hello! I created www.stonecreekha.com about a year ago basically by watching youtube tutorials and haven't done much with it since so I've forgotten everything! In IE7, everything appears as it should; but in Firefox and IE8, the spry menu bar is positioned slightly higher than it should be (it slightly cuts off the foot of the golfer) and there is an empty space between the navigation bar and the photo. The source code can be viewed from the website. Here are some pics:
IE7 - how it is supposed to look:
IE8:
Firefox:
Dreamweaver:
So basically, I need to know how to remove that empty space between the navigation bar and the picture, and how to move the spry menu bar down a few pixels, in a way that it looks correct in IE8 and Firefox, and preferably IE7 as well.
P.S. I'm a noob so if you could be as specific as possible on what to do in Dreamweaver I'd really appreciate it. Thanks
I belive it's because of the -minus margin being used on the navbar, that you will need to use a negative margin to bring up both the left and right bodyArea divs.
Try : margin-top: -18px; on both divs. You may need to play around with that to get it more precise.
Again, not sure what effect that has on IE as I can't test it.
If it affects IE, then you may need to feed IE a conditional comment for the placement of those divs.

How to manage the space between a table and its title?
Have tables where titles are very close to the main text and need a couple of points to separate these elements. How to reshape this space?
1. Titles were separated by a return that is not visible... (any code is revealed by ID)
2. When a Return is inserted after the title, nothing happens aparently, but this return is now visible and could be used as a «paragraph space after» value:
3. A solution could be Grep to catch the end of paragraph assigned to titles to insert a return;
but Grep only catches the right border of the table (the yellow mark shows the big blinking cursor);
Grep cannot see the end of paragraph in the tables's title.
It another method?
Basically, how to modify the space between a table and ists titleI think you and Bob are not in synch here.
Bob suggested that you could use paragraph spacing, but for that to work you do need to use separate paragraphs for the title and table, which you don't seem to be doing. Using GREP to find the end of the paragraph only works if there IS and end to the paragraph. As far as I know there is now meta-character to use in Find/Change that would allow you to find a table and insert a paragraph break ahead of it, but I bet it could be scripted.
I'm not quite sure what you were trying to find in the GREP you posted. Did you actually have a paragraph return inserted already after the title? In that case you only need to redefine the style for that paragraph to add the space (or redefine the style for the paragraph that holds the table itself). You don't need the GREP. But the reason it does nothing is that you've found a location -- the end of the paragraph, but haven't found any actual text to modify. To do anything you would need to use something like .$
But back to NOT having a separate paragraph... If you put the cursor in any table cell and go to Table Options > Table Setup tab you'll see fields to set space before and after the table that should do what you want. That was the second part of what he posted. -
How do I get rid of the white space between my header and my spry navigation bar?
I have been grappling with a problem for the past 2 days and cannot seem to work my way around it. I have been working on a page in dreamweaver cs4 that seems to have whitespace between the header and my spry menu bar ONLY in Firefox. Google Chrome and Safari show it correctly. Could you steer me in the right direction for getting rid of that space. Here is the page: http://www.margaritascafe.com/margaritas_layout.html
Here is my code and thanks in advance for your help:

How to remove empty row from rfc table output.
Hello,
I am using adaptive rfc and printing table output. The table rows start from 2nd row, the first row being empty. How can I remove the empty first row.
Here is what I tried.
wdContext.nodeDataSource().nodeTableOutput().moveNext();
and
wdContext.nodeDataSource().nodeTableOutput().moveTo(1);
Neither of them worked. Any clue is appreciated.
SrinivasIWDNodeElement first = wdContext.nodeDataSource().nodeTableOutput().getElementAt(0);
wdContext.nodeDataSource().nodeTableOutput().removeElement(first);

How do I eliminate the space above a spry menu bar?
I made a table, set the CellPad and CellSpace to 0, and set
the width to 800 pixels. Then, I inserted an image (with a width of
800 pixels) into the table, and set the V and H of the image to 0,
and aligned the image to the top. Then, I copied a spry menu bar
(with a width of 800 pixels) above the table and pasted it in the
table underneath the image. There is a vertical space of 16 pixels
between the image and the spry menu bar. How do I eliminate this
vertical gap?The Spry Updater is at:
http://labs.adobe.com/technologies/spry/home.html
If there is a spacing issue it is hard to tell without the
code. By default the Spry menu bar has 0 for margin and padding.
Make sure there is not a <p> tag within the table because the
<p> tag has an inherit padding/margin to it and could be
causing issues. The image and Spry should just be within the
<td> </td> without any <p> tags inside. -

How to remove the bookmark from the table of contents?
Hi everyone, I have a question:
How to remove the bookmark from the table of contents in Captivate 6?
Regards...Doug, your frustration is making you "bug" gun trigger happy. LOL
LOL, I suppose I have.
I believe the answer you are looking for is in the publishing preferences: under LMS advanced settings, look for the option: never send resume data.
[can someone please confirm this - I am not at a desktop now]
Anyhow, selecting this option will stop resume data - so the lesson will treat even returning learners as new. Hopefully, this will work for you.
This works! Thank you again!
*but* Why isn't Captivate asking the learner to make the choice of whether to start over or resume. It does this correctly if the lesson is published stand-alone.
Thanks again! -
How to remove ghost space on Camera Roll under Usage. No photos on camera. 545MB shown on Camera Roll and 1.8MB on Photo Stream?
Trying to clean up space to download updated iOS. Thanks!
Have tried unsuccessfully the left swipe and pressing the red delete. No change.The only problem is I have only 1.6GB available and need 3.7 to update to the iOS7. I also have 2.6GB in the "Other" catagory. How do I access the "Others" area in iTunes in order to see what is there and what I might be able to delete in order to create the amount of space needed. Thanks for your help!

Removing white space after Spry Menu Bar...
I having a bit of a problem trying to remove a little white space after my Spry Menu bar, when I set it to 8.6em theres a little white space, when I set the width to 9.7 it goes too far, I changed it to 137 pixels, however in Firefox and IE, it messes up the layout.
Also what do you do if there a different browsers, where some layouts are out of place, do you need to detect the browser with JS?The website is not live yet, everything is stored locally so heres the code: -

How SMON coalesces free space in oracle 9i and 10g
how SMON coalesces free space in oracle 9i and 10g?
Is it doing same as it was behaving in oracle 7 like looking through free extent table every five minutes (sys.fet$) to see if there are any adjacent free extents that can be coalesced into a single extent, and on every 25th cycle (i.e. every two hours and five minutes) it looks at the segment table (sys.seg$) to see if there are any temporary segments that need to be eliminated, as explained by jonathan lewis?
what are extent and segment tables available in oracle 9i and 10g like sys.fet$ and sys.seg$ in oracle7?>

Help reg: Removing sel records in af:table and to prevent it from Commit
I have a af:table in a page with some records.The table is editable and the records in the table are fetched from the DB. Now, I edit some of the records in the table.
I would now like to delete one of the edited records.
The delete action listener method should remove the record from the table and when I click save on the page (to save the other edited records), the removed record should not get committed to the database.At the same time, the removed record (from the table) should not get deleted from the database either.
Can someone suggest on how can i achieve this?
I use a delete action listener method to remove the record from the table in the UI but not sure how to prevent the removed record from getting committed (since its been modified).
Thanks
Sreekanth VijayIf you remove a row with the delete method, the row will be deleted from the db if you don't change the eo behavior.
You can, as mentioned in the last post, use the remove from collection to remove three row from the current repeat without removing it from the db. To get three row back you have to execute the query again.

How to remove a meter from an installation after move-out
Hi,
Could anyone please tell me how to remove a meter from an installation after move-out and if the installation was blocked before move-out.
I was trying to remove the meter from an installation which was blocked before move-out. And if i remove the blocking after move-out, it is still giving me this message that the installation is blocked.
Thanks in advance.
MahavirDear Birendra,
You can NEVER remove a Device (for Billing Related or FULL removal), since you need to save a Removal read while doing the removal. Hence, you can not create a MR ( Reason 01/02/03/06/16/17/21/22), without a Active contract. This is a Basic Metering Rule.
You will have to do the removal on the same day of the Move out.
Any additional questions?
KR,
AAL!
