How to remove pxe boot settings. cisco 1841

A while ago I set up a pxe server and somehow eventually configured our Cisco router which ran our dhcp server as well.  We've removed the pxe boot server and now I'd like to remove those entries.  Essentially the two lines I believe I need to remove are here under my running-config:
   bootfile pxelinux.0
   next-server 10.100.100.230
found here:

   bootfile pxelinux.0
   next-server 10.100.100.230
   dns-server 10.100.100.4
I've tried using the commands:
main-rt(config)#no bootfile pxelinux.0
main-rt(config)#no next-server 10.100.100.230
but those give errors
main-rt(config)#no bootfile pxelinux.0

% Invalid input detected at '^' marker.
main-rt(config)#no next-server 10.100.100.230

% Invalid input detected at '^' marker.
any ideas on how to get rid of these 2 lines?  Thanks

First you have to enter in dhcp-config mode:
main-rt(config)# ip dhcp pool dhcp
main-rt(dhcp-config)# no bootfile pxelinux.0
main-rt(dhcp-config)# no next-server 10.100.100.230

  • PXE boot via Cisco router

We have a need to netboot a PC with Linux via a Cisco router (I.E. PXEboot).
We have copied the PXE linux.cfg files to the Cisco router's flash, (Cisco 2821, IOS Advanced Security 15-1.2-T1).
We have setup the router as a TFTP server with defaulted path as tftp-server flash:tftpboot
From the pc's CMOS, we selected PXE boot.
With "debug ip packet detail", we can see the DHCP request from the PC.
We cannot however, get the router to download the Linux files to the PC.
    Manually we tried:
c:\ tftp 10.0.0.1 get default - no go.
    ANYONE have an idea????
    Thanks

    Hi Ash,
    Thanks for the assistance.
The laptop is directly connected to the Cisco 2821 routers g0/0 interface.
The router is configured to be a DHCP server with the Cisco 2821 router IP address on g0/0 set in the DHCP configuration to be the default router. The router’s IP address is excluded from DHCP. (10.0.0.30)
If the laptop’s bios is set to PXE boot, it seems to receive an IP address from the router I.E. 10.0.0.1– verified by statically assigning another pc IP address 10.0.0.1– the 2nd pc receives an error of IP address conflict. Then set the second pc to obtain its’ IP address via DHCP, and while running debug ip packet detail on the router, I see the router running through the DHCP assignment process and finally assigns the 2nd pc 10.0.0.2.
So needless to say, I believe the DHCP setup is functioning correctly.
The problem we have at this point is nailing down the TFTP-server function running on the Cisco 2821 router.
We were able to create the directory tree on the Cisco 2821 routers flash and then copy the correct files into each directory within flash.
Using WinXP DOS prompt, tftp does not seem to function.
With debug ip packet detail running on the router and Wireshark running on the PC, we run from a DOS window c:\tftp 10.0.0.1 GET \default. No matter how we specify the path, end result is an error of some kind.
We watch debug and wireshark display the communications of the PC and router talking, but cannot seem to get the requested file.
Perhaps WinXP tftp server is flawed.
If we load TFTP32 and attempt to send and/or receive a file from flash, works fine.
The router tftp config is as:
    tftp-server flash:/tftpboot/dsl/pxeboot.cfg
The actual files name is "default" and is found on the Cisco 2821 flash:/tftpboot/dsl/pxeboot.cfg directory.
No ACLs on the Cisco router and the router is pretty much right out of the box.
Firewall is disabled on both PCs.
Ping to/from the PC/router works fine.
    Thanks again
    Frank

  • How to remove SAN switches from Cisco Fabric

I have 2 SAN Fabrics, each with 2x MDS9513 and a few Cisco Blade Center Switches, DS-IBM-FC-K9. I need to decommission some of the blade switches. I need a procedure how to do it step by step. When do I disconnect the ISL's, when do I delete the VSAN's from the blade switches etc. Do not want to delete the VSAN on all switches.

Once the hosts ( blades ) are no longer being used in the Blade Centers, shut the ports in the ISLs on the 9513 switches.   Removing a switch from the fabric does not delete VSANs.  If you have zones or VSANs that are no longer used, then you might want to clean those up afterward.

  • How to remove a boot camp partition of xp without disrupting a partition of windows 7

i have a mid 2010 macbook pro that has the following hard drive configuration
    ds ~ mac os x
    bootcamp ~ windows xp
    untitled 1 ~ windows format
    untitled 2 ~ windows format
    windows 7 ~ windows 7
i want to get rid of the windows xp part without getting rid of the entire config, wiping the hard drive, and while retaining windows 7
any ideas i am open to anything?

Well you should first backup your data to a external drive and disconnect.
Next launch disk utility in the utilities folder and click on the internal media drive on the left and click parittion tab.
Normally you should be able to click on the bootcamp partition and click the little "-" sign and then click on the partition above it (the OS X partition) and there should be a corner draggie thing to extend to cover the deleted second parittion, then click apply.
You can only delete and extend down, not up, and you can't move data, just delete with along with the partition.
If it doesn't work, well you know what you got to do.

  • Does anyone know how to remove references to facebook and Twitter from the settings and "share" feature screens?

I don't use facebook or Twitter and I shouldn't have to see references to them in the settings section or the "share" dropdowns of Safari, the photo management screens, or anywhere else. Can anyone tell me how to remove these references?

To the best of my knowledge you can't.
You can try going into the settings and restrictions and turn them off and see if that makes the icons disappear (probably won't) but there's no way to select the icons you want.

  • How to remove password for the recovery mode wizard which you get by pressing command   r while booting mac with mac os 10.10?

I've set that password long ago and now forgot on how to remove it.
Should I go to Apple store for this?

It's possible you set a firmware password, see if the password dialog is similar to the one on this site…
    http://osxdaily.com/2014/01/06/set-firmware-password-mac/
Those passwords prevent ALL startup key combinations. Confirm it also happens when you boot holding T (target disk mode - How to use and troubleshoot FireWire target disk mode - Apple Support) If that goes to the password dialog you have a firmware password set.
Apple suggest you take it to an Apple store to get it reset, you can't remove the battery or remove RAM to reset this, so only Apple should reset it.

If your iPhone is jailbroken then it doesn't have a virus.
Your problem is most likely something else and the chances of your computer catch it are nonexsistant.

  • How to remove Cisco ip inspect (cbac) statements

Could anyone help me clarify how to remove "ip inspect SDM_LOW out" from a Cisco 2900 router.
    Interface FastEthernet1
     description WAN-Outside
     ip inspect SDM_LOW out
I would like to remove CBAC completely and just run this router without it.  When removing this command it kills the internet connection.  I understand that when this command is removed that there is no longer an ACL allowing incoming traffic (return traffic) on the outside interface which is why http traffic is blocked.
But my question is:  On a default router config not using CBAC there is no incoming ACL on the outside interface either.  Why does the internet work in that situation?
My goal is to remove CBAC and make this router run as a standard NAT/PAT router allowing internet access.
    see attached config
This topic first appeared in the Spiceworks Community

    Mahesh,
As Rick stated, those entries are no longer dynamically created, so if you have any traffic that was inspected by the inspect rule, but explicitly denied by the acl, you'll need to modify the acl to now allow that traffic. You will need to take both acls into account when modifying them as to what type of traffic was allowed out/in by the inspect.
For example, if you have an inspect that inspects http traffic. Your acl may deny all http traffic inbound:
access-list 100 deny tcp any any eq 80
access-list 100 permit ip any any
    Your inspect may allow it:
    ip inspect name FW http
On your interface, you have both:
    int g0/1 (wan interface)
    ip inspect FW out
    ip access-group 100 in
When someone on the inside needs to get to a web page, a session gets created and it allows the return traffic in even though the acl explicitly denies the http traffic. If you remove the inspects, as Rick noted, those rules don't get created any longer. Now the users would not be able to get to the internet because the acl is explicitly denying traffic coming from port 80 which includes return traffic. You would need to change acl 100 in the example to now allow 80 inbound. This is also why I said you'd need to take a look to see what the inspects were inspecting. If you have any non-standard ports configured, you'd need to take those into account in your acl.

    John

  • Yoga 2 Pro PXE boot?

Looking to PXE boot a Yoga 2 Pro so I can create/restore images with Microsoft WDS.  Since Yoga 2 Pro does not have a built-in Ethernet jack, does anyone know if it's possible to do this with a USB Ethernet adapter?
Would it have to be a Lenovo-branded apdater, or can any brand Belkin, TP-Link, etc) work?

How did you get this to work sir?? I have been trying for a solid week and it never see the Lenovo ethernet dongle as a boot option no matter what I choose in the BIOS. I have the X1 Carbon and it works as you would expect it to. But it NEVER works on the YOGA 2 PRO. CAn anyone help me?? The BIOS clearly has an option to boot the dongle thats made by LENOVO but the dongle never ever shows any lights no matter what port its in or regardless of the settings vchanged in the very small bios. I have wasted atleast 60 hrs + trying to figure out how to boot with it and it doesnt work at all. I had to end up making a bootable discover USB to help it find my wds server. Altough now when ever I attempt to drop an image to it it fails right at FINISHING up and finishes with a "corrupt installation file" error message. To make things more confusing is I can drop this same "Corrupt" image to our X1 carbons without a problem. Can anyone guess why??
