How to replace existing fields in Addnl Data Tab in CV01N Transaction
Hi DMS Experts,
In cv01n transaction,
In Addnl Data Tab presently having following fields which i needs to be changed.
Addnl Data Tab:
Inbound Material Safety Data Sheet
MSDS Supplier
Product Number
Country
Dok-X Document Type
Dok-X Document Status
Dok-X Document Version
Dok-X Version Date
Above mentioned fields i have to change for Example i to maintain, Project Name, Responsible person name etc.
how i can do that.
Pls guide me step by step config steps
This i need very urgently.

Hi,
the additional data tab is controlled by means of classes created in DMS.
if your requirement is something like,
project name
responsible person name etc..
for this - in CL01, you can create class, say Project XYZ
in CT04 - you can create characteristics as project name and person name..etc for this class.
in each characteristics you can maintain the values which will serve the requirement.

SandeepAdditonal tab control with the assignment of class type and class in the document type. Removing class type and class will eliminate this additional data tab. In this case if any additional data is required then you will have to manually assigne class type and class within document each time
However this is not what you want, you want to assign additional data after you have created a document, therefore solution could be make characteristics and class as an optional field so that system does not enforce you to maintain information at the time of creation. Second solution could be thought of as screen variant -

I want to replace a field's search help in DDIC structure, for an example, in structure HCMT_BSP_PA_XX_R0009, the field BANKL(Bank Keys) has a search help named 'H_BANKL', I want to replace this search help with other one such as 'H_BANKEY' in the FPM feeder class CL_HRESS_PER_DETAIL, I redefined such method:
method if_fpm_guibb_form~get_definition.
field-symbols: <fs_field_description> like line of et_field_description.
call method super->if_fpm_guibb_form~get_definition

I test it and found the search help window was replaced indeed, but all the value of import/export parameters in the new search help was lost, it means, the value of import paramer BANKS(Bank country) and the export parameter BANKA(bank name) were lost. Only the value of BANKL itself can be returned by the new search help window. Can you give me some suggestions about how to maintain the link( value exchange) between structure HCMT_BSP_PA_XX_R0009 and dynamically defined search help 'H_BANKEY' in FPM feeder class?
I tried to use sap memory ID but it doesn't works well.This question was answered at [Webdynpro Forum|how to replace a field's search help of DDIC in FPM feeder class?;:
That is because for the import and export of DDIC Search help values to work in WDA, not in FPM layer.Feeder Class can do nothing about it. -

Add a new field in basic data tab in PPOME for a position
Hello Evryone,
I want to display a Job ID field in Basic Data tab when displaying a position. Is this something to do in config? If yes, could anyone please guide me how to do it? Right now I can see only the Job description, but no ID.

Job ID field will not be displayed in Basic Data Tab. That you can see in the top hald of the portion under <-- Mark.
The details you can see are
Task Assignment - Executive
Code-Exe
ID C 50000084
Valid from 30.03.2007
Valid to Unlimited
First select the Job "Executive" and press enter, then you can find the details in the first half of the screen.

CV03N only has addnl data tab, not content?

I hope to query one question about cv03n - > addnl data tab for classficaiton .
I found for some documents, the doc type has assigned the class type in IMG.
IMG-> document type-> assign class type 017 and CAD.
But when I use cv03n to display documents, it will only display the addnl data tab, but no classificaiton
content display below
What's the problem? For such document, how we could create classficaiton tab in document? We need add new characteristic data for Documents.

Use this user exit to assign values to new fields at sales document header level. It is described in the section "Transfer of the customer master fields into the sales document".
The user exit is called up at the end of the FORM routine VBAK_FUELLEN.
USEREXIT_MOVE_FIELD_TO_VBAP
Use this user exit to assign values to new fields at sales document item level. It is described in the section "Copy customer master fields into the sales document".
The user exit is called up at the end of the FORM routine VBAP_FUELLEN.
USEREXIT_MOVE_FIELD_TO_VBEP
Use this user exit to assign values to new fields at the level of the sales document schedule lines.
The user exit is called up at the end of the FORM routine VBEP_FUELLEN.

Could you please let me know if the standard XML file sent by the RFC server contains the Account_group column.

How to access a field of an data source w/o binding a form field to it

This is a query regarding ADOBE print form.
How to access a record field (of an data source.... typical multi row records) where the record is bound to a subform.
Data is something like
(I have used abap parlance for understanding)
data : begin of data_tab occurs 0,
field1 type .....,
field2 type .....,
fieldm type .....,
fieldn type .....,
end of data_tab.
Subform is bound to
$.DATA_TAB.DATA[*]
How to access field1, field2,...... etc without creating subform fields and binding them to field1, field2, .... fieldn.
I know normal approach is to define subform fields and then bind it to $.field1, $.field2 etc
In the calculate event of a field bound to $.fieldm I have tried the following expressions to get the value of column fieldn of the same record but none of them worked.... Note that if I bind the field using $.fieldn data is displayed properly in the print form.
$record.data_tab.fieldn.value
$record.data_tab.data[*].fieldn.value
$record.data_tab.data.fieldn.value
$record.data_tab.fieldn.value
Otherwise I would have to define hidden fields just to use these column values in the event script even though these value are not to be displayed in the ADOBE print form.

If you are working on standard page then you can create a new item by personalization and set the DataType as : DATETIME it will display
date as well as time .
For custom page - you can create a new item as desired in anywhere in page and set the DataType as : DATETIME it will show both time
and date .

Addnl data tab missing in cv01n
Dear SAP Experts,
We have created a content server 640 with MAX DB and attached to our ECC6.0 system.
we have created a repository and we could connect through the csadmin to that repositiry.
Now when we are trying to upload any document from the cv01n. we are not able to find the tab addnl data in cv01n.
Please help us how to upload the document in cv01n to store in the created repository.

As said by other experts, the originals (Attachments) can be uploaded in a DIR using either 'Originals' section or through 'Originals' tab. If these section/tab is not visible, then check the configuration of a document type (tcode-DC10) for suppressed fields((Screenshot attached).

And to answer your second question, 'Additional data' tab appears in DIR only if it is configured in the document type(shown in the above screenshot) or if you are manually linking the class to a DIR using classification button(Appear above the document number).
In configuration, only one class can be linked and if multiple classes are to be linked then manual method can be used.
Coming to your third question - Storage of your attachment in content repository,
After uploading your document using 'open original', right-click on the original and choose 'Check-in' to select the 'storage category' created under the content repository.
