How to replace the hardwired certificate in the DocSign example

Hi,
I am trying to replace the hardwired John Doe certificate in the DocSign example with my own. I have created my own certificate (pfx file); when I use this certificate instead of the hardwired one I receive an error. Obviously I am not doing it right...
Should I hash the document, encrypt it with the private key, BER encode it and put that result into the hardwired variable?
Any advice would be appreciated.
Regards,
Magda

Nevermind, I see you only have to use the X.590 data.

    Today, I accessed Beehive Online via Oracle Beehive Extentions for Explorer.
    I cannot use Beehive Online with error message "The SSL certificate of the server is expired".
    How should I do?

    We're looking into it, meanwhile you can use a Webdav connection.

  • There is a problem with the security certificate of the proxy server. Error code 18 and 38.

    Hi All,
    After several hours and a short night of sleep I'm out of ideas and hopefully someone here can help me trying to solve this one. First of all the situation:
    Exchange 2013 on a remote location with a CA-certificate.
    Outlook 2010 and 2013 on different locations, locally installed and on RDS.
    When I open Outlook on my laptop all is fine, no errors, good sync, no problem. But when I open Outlook on our Remote Desktop Servers with Outlook 2013 I'm getting errors like "There is a problem with the security certificate of the proxy server. The
    name on the security certificate is invalid or does not match the name of the site. Outlook is unable to connect to this server. (Error code 18)". Opening Outlook 2010 the message is the same, but the error code now is 38.
    After this Outlook opens and is working, there's one more error though. After a while an security warning pops up with the message: "Information you exchange with this site cannot be viewed or changed by others. However, there is a problem with the
    site's security certificate. * The security certificate was issued by a company you have not chosen to trust. View the certificate to determine whether you want to trust the certifying authority. * The security certificate is valid. * The name on the security
    certificate is invalid or does not match the name of the site."
    Strangest thing is, it is the certificate of my RDS! It isn't my valid en officially bought certificate from my mailserver. What's going on? I'm out of options, what I've tried so far (in random order):
    - restarting mailserver and AD;
    - restarting switches;
    - restarting routers;
    - restarting RDS, AD and all other servers;
    - bypassed proxyserver for RDS;
    - created a new profile;
    - checked recently installed updates;
    - checked certificate on mailserver;
    - checked RDS on a different location, working fine.
    Nothing helped, what can I do next? Please advice.
    Regards.

    Found a thread that solves half my problem (https://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/office/en-US/70d18244-889a-4d95-ac3f-e234672a82b2/there-is-a-problem-with-the-proxy-servers-security-certificate-error-when-starting-outlook?forum=exchangesvrclients).
    The first message can be suppressed by adding this to the Exchange config:
    set-outlookprovider -Identity EXCH -CertprincipalName msstd:webmail.domain.tld
    set-outlookprovider -Identity EXPR -CertprincipalName msstd:webmail.domain.tld
    Giving the command get-outlookprovider, gives me empty information regarding the certprinipalname. Filled
    this and after recreating the profile or deleting the ost-file I still have the second alert with the local certificate of my RDS.
    Not completely where I want to be, any help regarding the second alert is greatly appreciated!

  • How do I get the client certificate from the request

    We are on Netweaver 2004 using the SAP webdispatcher (end-to-end). I need to do an OCSP validation, I have all of the code I need for the OCSP portion.  What I need is the X509Certficate that came from the client.  Is this stored in the request object, session? How do I get it?
    Thanks.

    Hi Joseph,
    I think the question is which component terminates the SSL connection. It could be an upfront load balancer or the WebAS itself. The former could write the certificate into a request header vairable,  while the latter will create a J2EE standard request attribute: javax.servlet.request.X509Certificate
    I never did it with the web dispatcher, but you can try the following:
    X509Certificate[] certs = (X509Certificate[]) request.getAttribute("javax.servlet.request.X509Certificate");

  • How do you retrieve a certificate from the browser(say firefox) cert store?

    I want to retrieve certficate from the firefox certificate store and to use the same in jvm context to avoid the popup for certficate acceptance again and again( in case of reauthentication )..
    can anybody help me..
    thnx..

    Firefox stores its certificate in a file called cert8.db. On the Linux/UNIX environment, this file is in a subdirectory of your $HOME directory called .mozilla/. On Windows, it is typically in the c:\Documents and Settings\<User>\Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\<Random Hash Value>\ directory.
    Before you load the keystore, I am assuming you have configured the SunPKCS11 JCE Provider in your java.security file, and have gotten an instance of the provider using the KeyStore.getInstance("PKCS11") call. You should only have one PKCS11 providrer in java.security for this to work.
    While the configuration file for JDK6 has changed a little bit, the concept and capability has not. If you're having trouble with JDK6, I would recommend trying it out on JDK5 first and making sure it works on your machine, and then trying it with JDK6. The source code in the keystoreLoaderHelper.java file in the SKCL module of the StrongKey source distribution (www.strongkey.org) has all the code in it that shows how to load keys/certificates using the Firefox and the JKS keystores.

  • How to use an existing certificate for the ABAP SSL setup using STRUST

    Hi
    All the documentation say to Create certificate Request and subsequently import the Certificate response from a CA.
    In our case, the company has a certificate from a valid CA root and we would like to use this when creating the SSL PSE files, in particular, the SSL Server PSE.
    Should I use sapgenpse instead of strust??
    What are the steps to apply the certificate (www.company.com.au) to this instance (host.dom.internal)??????

    ANY HELP IS APPRICIATED

    Your keyboard is broken. I suggest you fix it if you want help in the future because using capital letters appears like "SHOUTING" and we don't like to shouted at.
    Anyway you wouldn't use a DocumentListener, because the Document has already been updated by the time the Document event has fired.
    You might be able to use a DocumentFilter, which is also discussed in the above tutorial.
    Or, you can search the forum for my "Overtype TextArea" (without the spaces) example that may do what you want.

    The system was refresh to Quality from Dev.
    My question was how do I replace (rename) the certificate from QA to DEV in strustsso2 or strust. The version of ABAP is 7.0.
    Thanks.

    Hello,
    1- Can anyone guide me, with the steps required, to install certificate in target system?
    2- How to replace PSEs in target system with ones, containing new system information after completing a system refresh?
    I assume it is done in STRUST or STRUSTSSO2.
    3- Do I need a new certificate or can I use the existing certificate?

  • How to get the ssl-certificate trusted on lion-server

    I'm in the process of setting up lion server to create a small (international) research group collaborating on a project.
    So I want to use the server to exchange data, use a common calendar, address-book etc.
    To do so you need to get a SSL-certiifcate (unless you do everything on VPN).
    So I selected the server in server.app (Hardware) and selected SSL certificate edit
    created a certificate signing request that I exported and saved on my computer
    I received a ssl.crt that I also saved and dragged into the window and replace the original certificate with the signed one
    and also imported the certificate in to the keychain
    All following the steps described in:
    Managing iOS deviceswith OS X Lion Server by Arek Dryer
    the book describes that the certiifcate should now be trusted and valid. However, I keep the message "This certificate was signed by an unkown authority"
    So I somehow did something wrong.
    Any suggestions what I should do?

    ok let me add some info in the hope I will get some guidance:
    using the site http://www.sslshopper.com/ssl-checker.html
    I was able to check on the status of the certificate:
    The certificate is not trusted in all web browsers. You may need to install an Intermediate/chain certificate to link it to a trusted root certificate. Learn more about this error. The fastest way to fix this problem is to contact your SSL provider.
    since it is a non-commercial server I used a 'free?' SSL-certificate provider that will charge you when you contact them, so you have to figure it out by yourselve
    I guess I would be helped if there is a step by step manual how to install a root certificate

  • Sending a certificate form the client to the server... how to ?

    how can I send a certificate from the client to the server trough a Java code ??

    Short answer: You specify a keyStore.
    Either via command line using the -Djavax.net.ssl.keyStore=keystorefile property,
    or in Java code:
    char[] passphrase = "password".toCharArray();
    SSLContext ctx = SSLContext.getInstance("TLS", "SunJSSE");
    // KeyStore for the SSL client certificate
    KeyStore keyStore = KeyStore.getInstance("PKCS12");
    keyStore.load(new FileInputStream("client-cert.p12"), passphrase);
    KeyManagerFactory keyManagerFactory = KeyManagerFactory.getInstance("SunX509", "SunJSSE");
    keyManagerFactory.init(keyStore, passphrase);
    // keyStore for trusted server certs or CAs
    KeyStore trustedKeyStore = KeyStore.getInstance("JKS");
    trustedKeyStore.load(new FileInputStream("verisign-test-cert"), passphrase);
    TrustManagerFactory trustManagerFactory = TrustManagerFactory.getInstance("SunX509", "SunJSSE");
    trustManagerFactory.init(trustedKeyStore);
    ctx.init(keyManagerFactory.getKeyManagers(), trustManagerFactory.getTrustManagers(), null);
    SSLSocketFactory sslSocketFactory = ctx.getSocketFactory();
    HttpsURLConnection.setDefaultSSLSocketFactory(sslSocketFactory);
    // open the http connection to the party
    myConn = (HttpsURLConnection)myURL.openConnection();

  • 10.10.1.2:8090 uses an invalid security certificate. The certificate is not trusted because no issuer chain was provided. The certificate is only valid for a id="cert_domain_link" please help me how to fix such type of problems?

    sir, each time when i open my browser i'm facing such type of error certificate and closing browser at the same instant. i don't know how to fix it please help me

    Hi,
    If you click on the certificate '''Details''' it would show the root Certificate Authority (the topmost one) and any intermediate CAs that signed/issued this security certificate. You would need at least the root CA certificate to be installed ('''Import''') and trusted in the Firefox certificate database ('''Tools '''('''Alt '''+ '''T''') > '''Options '''> '''Advanced '''> '''Encryption '''> '''View Certificates''' > '''Authorities'''), though sometimes depending on the server configuration you may need all the certificates in the hierarchy to be installed.
