How to replicate configuration changes in Felix to publish instance

Hi,
I have made some changes in configuration under Felix 'Configration' tab.
i.e., added few mapping rules in 'Apache Sling JCR Resource Resolver'.
Now, how do I replicate these changes to a publish instance? I hope I don't need to make the same changes again in publish, one by one?
Thanks!!

You should create env specific config and manage it through package.

  • Changes not reflecting in publish server

    I have created a component in CQ5 which gives a pop up window with gray background on clicking the image. It is working fine in author instance.In publish mode the JS is not working properly. I have cleared the cache from apache folder also. Still changes are not reflecting. Please tell me what to do?

    There is no need to restart server. What version of CQ are you using ? I remember some JSP compilation issue in publish instance if JSP files get modified. But it was fixed in CQ5.5 update1. Also restarting JSP/sling classloader (org.apache.sling.commons.classloader and org.apache.sling.jcr.classloader) should trigger force recompilation.
    Also since you mentioned you are clearing cache. From where are you trying to access changes ? Dispatcher or publish instance ?

  • How to get the changes during ABENDED replicat process

    Hi,
    I am working on Oracle GG bi-directional DML replication. I m stuck in one place.
    My target replicat process was ABENDED due to Error :- ORA-01403: no data found. I restarted my replicat process again by runing the below command
    GGSCI (db1) 30> alter replicat rep2 begin now
    GGSCI (db1) 30> start replicat rep2
    After restart the replicat process I can't see the changes on target server which I had applyed on source server during target replicat was ABENED.
    My doubt is.
    1. Is my command is correct for start the ABENDEND replicat process?
    2.How to get the changes on target server which applyed on source during ABNDED of targer replication?
    3.How to avoid the ABENDED replicat process on production server?
    4.how to track the ABENDED process in production server?
    Please HELP:(

    Edited by: NaveenK on Aug 29, 2012 3:32 AMHi Naveen. SQL Error 1403 means row not found. Your data is out of sync and you should fix this.
    By doing begin now when this happens, you are skipping all the transactions that were "in-line" since the process ABENDED.
    You have more than one way to deal with these things, first of all you should synchronize your data! This should get rid of the 1403 errors.
    Then you can write rules using REPERROR to tell the replicat how to behave in case of errors should come up.
    Using logdump, you can read the exact row which failed and find out the next RBA to skip that specific one if required. You should also configure a DISCARDFILE to get details about errors when they happen.

  • How to find the changes made in spro configuration?

    Dear Friends,
    From my client side, some configuration changes were happened directly to production client not by the consultants. How to trace this that what changes have been made through log or table. We found that in spro->utilities->change log is in switched off mode. We came to know that through this log we can find the changes happened or not. Is it so? or is there any other solution to trace it?
    Please advise.
    thanks & regards

    thanks friends for your prompt replies.
    But, as i said clear, the changes made to production client directly and not by any request. How can we detect who has changed the log settings.

    on the same dates you mean the same request are posted in IT2001? ie both full days?
    Please clarify
    usually the Time collision checks are followed only via posting using report rptarqpost and not while applying through portal in ESS
    This is very strange you indicate
    SO you need to check the basic tables first
    You may need to check the collision.
    Collisions Tables V_T554Y and V_554Y_B reaction indicators.
    and V_T508A
    able T582A set to time constraint of "Z
    In backend Pa30 collision works like this
    1) the logical collision, checks if there is an overlap in the validity
    interval of the IT´s (begda, endda).
    2) the physical collision, checks if there is an overlap in the time
    interval of the IT's.
    In the logical collision it is checked if there is an overlap in the
    validity interval if at least one of the records is a full-day
    ( that is the case when you enter a Daily Work Schedule (DWS) )
    So when one of the records has a DWS it is considered to be a full day
    record and the logical collision is taken into consideration.
    If instead you enter the only the time interval manually the records
    are considered to be partial-day and the physical collision is
    performed. In that case only the time interval is important.
    So if the clock times are not entered the physical collision can not
    take place.
    The collision functionality is always based on clock times and dates,
    never on the total nr of hours.

  • How can I configure EM after machine name changed?

  • How to set up 'Tansport Request'  to move Configuration Change to Prod ?

    I would like to know the steps to transport the Configuration Changes  from Development to QA (or Production).
    Thanks for your help.

    Hi Oscar,
    Request are of two types.
    1.Customization Request.( functional Consultants)
    2.Workbench Request( Abapers)
    If you are doing any configuration change using you user id in  Devlopment system.
    1.while saving the changes it will ask for customizing Request, here you have to give the request and save the changes.
    if you want to move the changes from Development System to Qualtity.
    Goto Transaction SE09 or Se10 give your user id name then Click on Display
    Here Go to your Request No.xxxxxxxx and Click the Tranfort Icon/Bus Icon or Press F9.then the changes will be moved to Quality System.
    Please ensure that Task will be released first.
    Hope this clarifies your doubts and Please Reward If Really Helpful,
    Thanks and Regards,

  • How do I lock GRC Production system to prevent any configuration changes.

    1. For GRC AC SPM: Does SCC4 client lock setting prevent FireFighter configuration lock too ?
    2. Is there a role or list of actions which would allow someone to make configuration changes in the Java modules (CUP, ERM & RAR)

    You can make your life easy with a test system and try it.
    Designing controls for something which has not been tested by you, yet someone called Julius made claims about it the internet, is not a correct approach. Sorry, just being honest.
    But if you do want to go about it the hard way, then use SE11 to display the delivery classes of the tables and SOBJ to check the views for permitted "current settings" flags. If views have not been used, then you need to check the code which updates the tables directly, but if I remember correctly these are maintenance views.
    Cheers,

  • How to replicate bundle from Author to Publish

    Hi,
    I have published a java bundle by right clicking and select 'Build Bundle' on the 'bnd' file, the bundle gets deployed properly on the 'Author' instance, but the 'publish' instance deploy failed.
    The code currently works in 'Author'.
    How do I replicate the bundle from Author to Publish? Does 'Build Bundle' only deploy the bundle to 'Author'? If yes, step by step how do I replicate the bundle to Publish?
    Thanks.

    The canonical answer would be: Put the bundle into a CRX package (path: /apps/<appname>/install) and then upload the package to the instances you want to deploy the package.
    If you want to transport that package via replication, it will work. But be aware, that then you deploy it to all publishs more or less in parallel, which might be an unwanted behaviour. The usual trick is to partition your publishs into 2 distinct sets. One set is active and receives requests by the loadbalancer, the other is idle and does not receive any requests from the loadbalancer in front of them.
    Then reconfigure the replication agents pointing to the active set of publishs, and change their port to an unused one. This prevents that the replication is successfully working to this publishs, but the agents do still accept replication requests from the authors (but they are not executed). If you activate then the package, the package will be replicated only to the idle set of publishs and is installed there. Then switch the configuration for both sets of publishs and make the active set the idle one and vice versa. Now you only need to wait until the replication queues to the (new) idle set of publishs is emptry and the package is installed. Now all publishs have the new package installed and you can configure all replication agents back to "normal" settings.
    That's a common deployment strategy used by many projects. If done properly you don't face any problems on your live site.
    cheers,
    Jörg

  • Synchronize configuration changes among SUN One Application cluster

    How to do the synchronization of configuration changes among the SUN One Application clustering.
    I need to replicate the configuration changes from Appserver1 to appserver2, which is in the cluster farms.

    hi i'm a colleague of Mirza.
    We have modified the web.xml and now server is asking for password. We dont want to specify a particular role name in authorization-constraint. We need all our authenticated users to access the application. When i remove the auth-constraint tag from the web.xml it does not not allow the user to acess the application and gives me the error "Access to the specified resource has been forbidden". To remedy this we have created a group called "authenticated" in our ldap directory server and put all the users in that group. Now even though i'm specifying in auth-constraint .. the role-name to be "authenticated" but its still not granting the user permission to the access the application.
    here is the snippet of my web.xml
    <security-constraint>
    <web-resource-collection>
    <web-resource-name>PAMS</web-resource-name>
    <url-pattern>/*</url-pattern>
    <http-method>GET</http-method>
    <http-method>POST</http-method>
    </web-resource-collection>
    <auth-constraint>
    <role-name>authenticated</role-name>
    </auth-constraint>
    </security-constraint>
    <login-config>
    <auth-method>BASIC</auth-method>
    <realm-name> ldap</realm-name>
    </login-config>
    <security-role>
    <role-name>authenticated</role-name>
    </security-role>
    I need to know what ever I am doing is correct.

  • How to restrict manual change to exchange rate.

    Hello
    Requirement:
    Our requirement is we want to control the manual exchange rate entry(user type or otherwise) at different form e.g. AP Invoice screen,AR Invoice,GL JV.
    What ever the rate defined pops up,should only be used for transactions and no scope should be given to user to change the rate.
    Process:
    Our process is that We have a boundary system and we manually enter the rates daily and upload to Oracle Application by running a program interfaced with the boundary system.The rates fetched from the boundary system sits in daily rate form as spot rate.
    The profile option "AR: Default Exchange Rate Type" has value "spot".
    Similarly in payable option the rate given as "spot".
    Solution provided by our consultant:
    We have Below clarification from the consultant Oracle team on controlling who can enter exchange rates manually vs who can not.
    Pls see response for both sub ledger and general ledger transactions. An ability to limit manual exchange rate entry & view is, therefore, available in Oracle.
    In Oracle, the transactions are created in subledgers and manual journals are created in General Ledger.The defaulting of exchange rate type is done separately for different subledgers. For General Ledger (creating manual journals) the control is separate.
    1)For transactions originating in subledgers , for eg.Accounts Receivable, the name of the profile option is "AR: Default Exchange Rate Type" and looking at your requirement, this should be set at "Corporate" and not "User" or "Spot". Setting it at Corporate, will make the application look at the predefined corporate rates. Similarly for transactions (invoices/payments) in Accounts Payable, the defaulting can be configured through payable options.
    2)For manual journals , the defaulting of exchange rate type is controlled separately. This can also be secured by definition access set which will prevent unauthorized changes to rate type.
    Questions:
    1.Can we take their suggest given our process that changing the rate to corporate will restrict manual intervention of the user.
    2.whether definition access set feature available in 11.5.10.2 and if so how can we configure.
    3.What is the best way to restrict user from manual intervention.

    Hello.
    For the mentioned forms, you can use Forms Personalization to force users to use a certain type(s) of exchange rate.

  • How do you configure a farm name in RDS 2012?

    I understand Remote Desktop Services has undergo some drastric changes.
    How do you configure a farm name in RDS 2012? Or is the concept around farm name changed in another concept?
    Although I have imported a certificate on the RDCH withe the farm name I want to use. When I click on a RemoteApp on the RD Web Access portal, it does not connect to the right farm name.
    Boudewijn Plomp, BPMi Infrastructure & Security

    You don't.  You create a collection.  A client connects to the Connection Broker and then is redirected to the collection it is connecting to.  The collection name is embedded in the connection file that the client downloads from RDWeb or
    the RDWeb feed.
    A collection is basically at least one RDSH server (for session based desktops) or one virtual machine (virtual machine based desktops).
