How to restore single user/comp accidently deleted from AD,without starting in DSRM mode.???

I found only solution for this, restore syatemstate backup and then using ntdsutil:restore user.
Is there any other way,keeping server offline it costs to company.

Hi Hemant,
                Yes,u can probably stop the AD service from command line by typing- "net stop ntds" and then you can do authoritative restore of object using ntdsutil. After restoration you can start
the service again- "net start ntds". But restarting the server will ensure proper restoration of that object.
Thanks

  • How to restore bevels that were accidently deleted?

    Hello.  I am a total newbie and am just learning using Photoshop Elements 6.  I accidently deleted a few of the bevels.  When I applied a bevel and I didn't like the effect, I sent it to the little trash can to delete it, even when it said "are you sure you want to delete the bevel."  I said yes because I thought that meant it would delete the bevel from being applied then.  I didn't realize it would permanently delete the bevel from the palette (is that correct?).  Can someone please tell me in non-geek terms if I can recover the bevel buttons?  Thank you for your help!

    Yes, you will need to find and delete the file mediaDatabase.db3. On a mac, go to your hard drive>library>application support>adobe>Photoshop Elements>6.0>locale>en_US (or your location). In Windows 7 or Vista, it’s in C:\ProgramData\Adobe\Photoshop Elements\6.0\Locale\en_us (or your location). For XP, it’s C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Adobe\Photoshop Elements\6.0\Locale\en_US (or your location).
    The next time you start the editor let it sit there till it rebuilds the contents of the panels. Don't try to use it till it's done.

  • How to restore Notes to I6 after deletion from I5?

    I got a new iphone 6 and all notes would not transfer after quite some time. Last night I hand transferred notes one by one from old iphone 5 to new Iphone 6 using air drop. Then I deleted all notes from Iphone 5. This morning I discovered all notes were gone from iphone 6 and Iphone 5. Panic!!!
    Before all this I made a back up of old iphone 5 about a month ago.
    I only want to restore notes only. My son says i have to restore entire phone and he suggests restoring old iphone 5 and then air drop again. But then any new notes would be gone??? (which would be aceptable.
    Looks like I was probably using live.com as the sync agent?
    Any suggestions? Can I go to apple store with both iphones and will they be able to help me?
    Thanks Tom

    To recover iCloud data from Time Machine, close the application and also turn wifi OFF during the recovery, to avoid syncing back the old data.  When found, copy the file and give it a new name.  Turn on WiFi, the original file will disappear again. A short time later the new file will appear in iCloud.
    To go to library folders, hold down the option key while using the Finder “Go To Folder” command.
    Alternatively, go to the home folder and select the "Show View Options" at the gear wheel icon.  Then select "Show Library Folder" at the bottom of the dialogue box.
    That will take you to a folder in your user library. Then enter Time Machine with the folder highlighted.

  • How to restore a user's calendar agenda

    How to restore a user's Calendar agenda
    When you delete users from LDAP and then re-add them to a Calendar node, they
    will be assigned new nscalxitemid's.
    However, if you have not run any of the tools for removing these
    "orphan" entries, the old
    nscalxitemid's should
    still exist in the Calendar database.
    <P>
    To restore a user's agenda from the Calendar database, use the following steps:
    <P>
    <OL>
    <LI>Use ldapsearch to
    locate the user entries for the user who you are trying to restore.
    <P>
    Depending on what version of Directory Server you have, the
    ldapsearch command line
    utility will be in one of the following locations:
    <P>
    (Directory Server 3.x): <I>
    ServerRoot</I>/bin/slapd/server
    <P>
    (Directory Server 4.x): <I>
    ServerRoot</I>/shared/bin
    To search for the user with the UserID "bbunny," the syntax for
    ldapsearch would be as follows:
    <P>
    ldapsearch -D "cn=directory manager" -w <I>password</I>
    -b o=netscape.com uid=bbunny | more (All on one line)
    <P>
    It is also possible to dump the output of this command into a file, as in the

    <P>
    ldapsearch -D "cn=directory manager" -w <I>password</I>
    -b o=netscape.com uid=bbunny > bbunny.txt (All on one line)

  • Restore single user and schema

    Hi,
    We have a MaxDB 7.5 server. I would like to be able to restore a single user and associated schema from the nightly backup.
    Does anyone know a way of doing this?
    Thanks,
    Andrew.

    Nope, there is no function for that.
    MaxDB does database backups and database restores.
    Seen from the point of view that the whole database is a defined statement of 'truth' it does not even make sense to do "schema"-recoveries.
    Anyhow, since very often different schemas are actually used to store different databases in them, there is of course an option for that.
    Recover the backup to a second instance.
    Export the schema you want.
    Import the schema to the target database.
    Export/Import can easily be done with the loadercli.
    And, before I forget - MaxDB 7.5 is pretty much gone. MaxDB 7.6 and 7.7 are available for free download for a while now. So if you don't need AWE you may want to give these current versions a try.

  • Exchange Provisioning - Error (User Has been deleted from AD)

    Hello Experts,
    User has been provisioned to AD successfully and I verified it manually by logging into AD server. But when I provision Exchange to User "Create Mailbox" task failed with the following error message "User Has been Deleted from AD".
    I am wondering what causing this issue? Can u assist me?
    Thanks & Regards

    Exchange provisioning task "Get Object GUID" returns "Value not set" . Is this the reason for the above error?
    Seems like AD provisioning process is creating user in AD but not setting Object GUID. Any idea how to resolve this?

  • How to restore the backup which we taken from db13 ?

    Hi .........
    I am taking full back up from DB13 to hard disk and tape drive every day.
    Please tell me how to restore this backup which is taken from db13.
    4.7E, MSSQL , Windows 2003 server.
    Gayatry.

    If its the same server you took the backup from the backup history for the DB will be stored against it. If its a different server you will need to catalog the backup tape to read in the history/contents.
    Lets assume its the same server, with the same file locations.
    From SQL Ent Mgr - with SAP stopped.
    right click  the DB
    select restoredb
    select the set you want to restore from the history
    select the options you need (ie leave off line for addition TL restore, or bring online)
    It really is that simple - you cant go wrong (assuming you select the correct set!)

    Hello,
    I have deleted user into UPS, however its still being display in people search.
    I believe search crawl will delete the information from people search - However I am not sure whether its correct approach to run delete information from people search.
    If user is not available in UPS then why user's information is being display in site ? and by when it may delete automatically?
    Thanks and Regards,
    Dipti Chhatrapati

    Hello Both, Thank you for your response !
    Kindly consider following points where I am confusing.
    Incremental Crawl is scheduled every 30 minutes - I have rechecked after 15 hours of deleting the user and still this user is available in People search.Few days back I ran the incremental crawl manually in order to delete the users from
    people search that has worked - that means - incremental scheduler is not working as per the expectation ???
    Full Crawl is scheduled on weekly basis - so user information will be deleted automatically when full increment will run next time ?
    Also, there is My site clean up job that keeps user data for 14 days even though user has been deleted from UPS.that means user information will be deleted only after 14 days of deleting user from UPS ?
    It will be much appreciated if this will be clear from my head !!!
    Note: UPS doesn't sync disabled account since it has been specified in connection filter.
    Thanks and Kind Regards,
    Dipti Chhatrapati
