How to restrict PR Changes for DMS?

SAP Query:
1.       When PO is released for a particular item its PR automatically gets locked i.e. you can not change the PR.
But it is possible to change the documents attached to it or to add or link other documents to it. Iu2019ve checked it for one PR.
There is no any system message or warning as the said PR is locked or blocked.
2.       Same is true for quality notifications. Even if you clear it, it is possible to link the documents to the notification.
If you want to change PR or notification thereby linking new version of document to it, it is not possible via ME52n or QM02, instead there is a gateway thr. DMS system.
How we can Restrict PR changes for DMS..

Navin

  • How to restrict the GR for Production Order when Goods Issue is not done

    Hi Gurus
    How to restrict the GR for Production Order when all the required components for production order are not issued with all required quantity. Even for partial issue system should not allow GR with 101. The user status with RMWA, RMWF & CGFB is not working.
    Pls suggest best solution.
    Abhijit.

    Hi,
    You can club together the GI nad GR at the time of confirmation..
    I.e Backflush for the components and auto GR for the Product.
    So that you can stream line the Process.
    The best Option would be to use the User Exit:
    Enhancement - MBCF0002
    Functional Module - EXIT_SAPMM07M_001
    Include - ZXMBCU02

    Hi All,
    I would like to know, How to restrict a user for re-submitting the same page.
    I have a jsp page with submit button... and should not allow the user to save the same data again ..
    Anil

    Try the followings. If user disable cookies, this will not work. You need to modify to detect such situation!
    String processed = "mycooke";
    Cookie[] cookies = request.getCookies();
    Cookie c = null;
    if (cookies!=null) {
       for (int i=0; i < cookies.length; i++) {
           if (cookies.getName.equals(processed)) {
    c = cookies[i];
    break;
    if (c!=null) {
    // already processed.
    // send error message and exit.
    // set cookie;
    c = new Cookie(processed , "yourdata");
    c.setMaxAge(-1);
    response.addCookie(c);
    // process as it is the first;

  • How to restrict the changes in Relesed PO?.

    Hi all,
    How to restrict the users to make a changes in the Released PO?. User should make the changes only if it is unreleased by the respective codes.
    1. Is there any user parameters like functional authorisation?
    2. I have already suggested two solutions to the clients that
        1. To restrict the authorisation of TCodes ME22n at the user level, but it's not a suitable solution, if user want to make any changes before releasing, then system is not allow to do the changes.
        2. I have made release indicator as a 1 - not changeable if it is released, in release strategy settings. But the system is not allowing the all the users including release codes to make the changes?.
    If there is any solution, please reply immediately.
    with regards,
    Raja.

    hi,
    if u set release indicator 1, after release is taken place, for any changes, u need to revoke the release. and then change the PO.
    even u cant directly block the changes to already released PO, because, in future if at all qty or some changes is required to change, it should allow u to change!

  • How to restrict Option values for a particular metadata in profile checkin

    How to restrict Option values (drop down) for a particular metadata in profile checkin-
    Metadata field Color is having options dropdown values (stored in table/views)-
    Display name - Blue, Value=1
    Display name - Red, Value=2
    Display name - Yellow, Value=3
    Display name - Green, Value=4
    Display name - Black, Value=5
    For a particular profile checkin form, for the metadata field Color I want the dropdown value consist of only top three options
    Display name - Blue, Value=1
    Display name - Red, Value=2
    Display name - Yellow, Value=3
    But this should be done on profile level only, should not impact the standrad checkin form and other profile checkin forms.
    Please help me if any one having any suggestion to implement the above secnario
    Thanks,
    Sumit

    Hi,
    Into the rule containing the Color metadata, you can restrict the values of the list.
    In "Has restricted list and pane", list the values 1, 2 and 3 (new line for each value) :
    1
    2
    3

  • How to restrict manual change to exchange rate.

    Hello
    Requirement:
    Our requirement is we want to control the manual exchange rate entry(user type or otherwise) at different form e.g. AP Invoice screen,AR Invoice,GL JV.
    What ever the rate defined pops up,should only be used for transactions and no scope should be given to user to change the rate.
    Process:
    Our process is that We have a boundary system and we manually enter the rates daily and upload to Oracle Application by running a program interfaced with the boundary system.The rates fetched from the boundary system sits in daily rate form as spot rate.
    The profile option "AR: Default Exchange Rate Type" has value "spot".
    Similarly in payable option the rate given as "spot".
    Solution provided by our consultant:
    We have Below clarification from the consultant Oracle team on controlling who can enter exchange rates manually vs who can not.
    Pls see response for both sub ledger and general ledger transactions. An ability to limit manual exchange rate entry & view is, therefore, available in Oracle.
    In Oracle, the transactions are created in subledgers and manual journals are created in General Ledger.The defaulting of exchange rate type is done separately for different subledgers. For General Ledger (creating manual journals) the control is separate.
    1)For transactions originating in subledgers , for eg.Accounts Receivable, the name of the profile option is "AR: Default Exchange Rate Type" and looking at your requirement, this should be set at "Corporate" and not "User" or "Spot". Setting it at Corporate, will make the application look at the predefined corporate rates. Similarly for transactions (invoices/payments) in Accounts Payable, the defaulting can be configured through payable options.
    2)For manual journals , the defaulting of exchange rate type is controlled separately. This can also be secured by definition access set which will prevent unauthorized changes to rate type.
    Questions:
    1.Can we take their suggest given our process that changing the rate to corporate will restrict manual intervention of the user.
    2.whether definition access set feature available in 11.5.10.2 and if so how can we configure.
    3.What is the best way to restrict user from manual intervention.

    Hello.
    For the mentioned forms, you can use Forms Personalization to force users to use a certain type(s) of exchange rate.

  • How to restrict manual changing of free goods in sales order

    Hi ,
    Goodmorning ,
    We have some requirement : In sales order free goods quantity determination by system  should not be allowed to change manually , where can we do this ?
    Looking for your inputs
    Thanks and regards
    Venkat

    As per SAP Standard, when the main Item quantity is changed, the Free Goods are redetermined. In this case any manual changes to Free Goods Quantities are lost.
    But your requirement is for restricting the Chages of the Quantity of Free Goods Correct?
    I believe there is no SAP standard solution for this. You will have to apply a User Exit, which will check the Item category of each LIne item & if it is free goods (TANN) then changes are not permitted.
    Hope this helps.
    Thanks,
    Jignesh Mehta

  • How to restrict status profile for sales order.

    Dear Friends,
    Pl suggest me for follwoing scenario
    ►     As per business process for tender/ institutional sales and exports, the order is complete once the complete delivery and invoicing for the same has been performed.
    ►     It was also observed that a sales order may be modified (material, quantity, price etc) even after complete invoicing of the same has been performed in SAP.
         The requirement is  Possibility to enable a control to restrict any amendments to the sales order after complete delivery and invoicing will be explored as per business requirements.
    Is there any solution above scenario without writing any code.
    Regards,
    Atul
    Edited by: atul thakur on Oct 28, 2009 5:09 AM

    Mr Atul,
    My understanding is, you don't want your user to be able to change the pricing and order quantity once the order is complete, i.e Delivered and Shipped.
    The status profile will not help you in the above scenario, Price/Quantity changes will not come up as Business transactions that can be controlled at Status profile.
    Standard SAP restricts the price changes to a completed item of the order, so no need to worry about this.
    But order quantity can be increased any time.
    So to restrict the user to increase the order quantity you need to use the User-Exits that SAP provided.
    Use the MV45AFZB user-exit program and form  FORM userexit_check_vbap to code this.
    Hope this helps you.

    Aj.

  • How to restrict a user for the other plant orders In CATS

    Hi
    We are using CATS for entering labour hours in PM orders. While entering the time in CAT2 first we will select the personal number of the employee and the order number in which he has worked .
    My question is while entering the order number if we worgly entered the other plant order number it should give error message saying that order number not belong to other plant.
    How can we restrict this .At present it is accepting the other palnt orders
    Thanks in advance
    Gangadhar

    Hi,
    You have to add some more fields in CAT2 this will serve your purpose.

  • How to restrict lot numbers for customers

    We have customers who will not accept products from certain suppliers.
    Is there any solution that impose restriction and modifies the order fulfillment logic enforcing customer/supplier restrictions.
    eg., We receive the parts against PO/receipt, while receiving user enters LOT Number.
    After intermediate process product comes out as Finished good and it will be ready for ship.
    Requirement is at picking level for few customers restrict items from lots supplied by specific suppliers, not be picked.
    Anyone have any idea how to implement this. Thanks.

    Hi,
    This sounds good, but this makes INV over restrictive and conflicts with our custom processes.
    And if any customer specific INV (where we cannot include this lot restriction) exists then it may also interfere.
    Can you think of any alternate solution.
    Thanks

  • How to restrict special characters for a specific column

    Dear gurus,
    i have a table emp with a field field_1
    in this particular field_1 is an address column where data can be like '12 st first floor' but suppose mistakenly user has entered the data as '12 st first floor & ' it should be restricted (not using trigger but can this be possible by using constraints )so for this how can we restrict the special characters not to get entered into the column.

    I don't know the authorization object that I need blocked.
    Can You Help me
    Thanks in advance

    Hi,
    Assuming that these workbooks belong to a particular role, you need to endure that the users do not have maintenance ability for this role (that holds the workbooks).
    You can see here for details on setting up these roles:
    Re: Making a Workbook global
