How to run and R3load export remotely?

Hi,
I need to know how to do an R3load export from an application server instead of a Central instance.
Does anyone did this? Do you have documentation about it?

This should work if you log directly into the application server instance. Remember that an application server is just a set of work processes, each of which has a connection to the database. So if you log into the app server as sidadm, then you should be able to run R3load from the application server.

What is your usecase ? Do you want to Reader Extend PDF files so that users can fill forms using Adobe Reader ?
Is the number of users who would receive Reader Extended documents more than 500?
And do you reader extend large volume of documents?
If the answer is yes to any of the above questions then LC RE is the right product to use

I went to the java tutorial and from the address below I copy an example (SimpleServlet).I try to run and compile it in Tomcat, But I don't know how can I do that. I have the similar question.
Instead of going thru sun's tutorial, I tried onjava's ("http://www.onjava.com/pub/a/onjava/2001/04/19/tomcat.html?page=1").
I could see the jsp page, but when I tried to add a servlet, I got an error "Page not found". I followed exactly the same way they describe. The only thing I noticed was the resulting page on the tutorial had the URL of ".../servlet/...".
Is this "servlet" directory something we are supposed to create our own? If so, under what directory? Or do we need to set up anything in order for the servlet to be referenced that way?

i think that would be a problem for me, so i will need to use some other approach. what i'm trying to do actually is that we have a university server which is set up so that students can have combination fo shell and cgi scripts in their home directory and with that, they can have web pages.
but students cannot use that server to run java applications. so to work around that, i was hoping that i can have my java application, and the database on my own windows machine, and be able to invoke the java program from the shell script on the linux server and once i have my ouptut, i can display that on the web page with CGI script.
is there any other practical approach that i can use to accomplish the above?

How to run Labview exectuable on remote machine?

I am trying to use VI Server to launch a built Labview application (.exe) residing on a remote PC from a CRIO. I need to run this .exe programmatically and I would like to do this with only the LV Run-Time Engine installed on the remote PC (Windows XP). I am currently able to do this successfully, but only if I have the LV Development Enviroment splash screen is open on teh remote PC. I assume this has somehting to do with the LV VI Server not running when the LV DE is closed.
I have also tried to build a dummy LV application that runs on the remote machine indefinitely (infinite while loop) hoping this would initiate the VI Server but it doesn't seem to work either, I get Error 63.
Anyone done this before?

Thanks, I've seen this one already. I will be using a CRIO as my host so I believe ActiveX cannot be used to launch Labview on the remote PC.
I have been troubleshooting this issue bu using a PC (Win XP) for my host and client. I have managed to get a Labview application to run as a Windows service on my remote PC and this application runs an inifinte while loop. But even with this application running I receive Error 66 while trying to open an application reference to a VI on the client PC form the host PC. Everyhting works fine if I have the LV splash screen open on the remote machine though.

I have never done this, but I doubt this is something possible in a standard way, or if it's feasable, could be very difficult to set up.
In fact, BPC works over Webservices, and it should probably be possible to use an ActiveX task inside our SSIS package and code something in VB there, referencing some API...
In any case, why don't you use the Offline Distribution Wizard for that? It's doing exactly what you're expecting.

You need to package your application into the standard .war format. Make sure jsf-api.jar and jsf-impl.jar are placed in WEB-INF/lib, your faces-config.xml is in WEB-INF, and your tld files are defined appropriately. Once you have your .war file, deploy it to your servers applications directory or use the console for deployment.
You should not have any problems if everything is packaged correctly. I am successfully using WebLogic Server 8.1 with my JSF-based web app.

I've attached my code that I'm going to use with thermocouples. What I'm trying to do is: when I hit start button the code should run for a minute then stop for 5 minutes and then start again, this process should be repeated twice . Could you please suggest the appropriate way to do it.

you really dont need to repeat cases (2x)...using a shift register will reset your timer function once the timer has reached it's set limit. the "bool crossing" is used to tell me when the "5 min" case is done and increments the cycle count....ofcoarse, change the "seconds" constant to your desired time on the elapsed timer of this example
and you could "or" the stop to the "compare = 2" or change the select "wait" to "exit" with a constant connected to the stop
