How to run forms in iview mode

i tride to run my forms in iview mode i got following message
frm-18121 the java bean, does not implement the iview interface
cause : for forms to use this java bean, it must be implement oracle form iview interface
Action : implement oracle forms
oracle.forms.ui.iview.interface
i would like to know how to implement this action
please suggest step by step.

Please clarify what you mean by "Runing Forms in iView mode" - iView is a Java interface that any PJC or JavaBean that you want to plug into Forms on the web has to implement.

Ummm....Oracle Forms is a foreground runtime kind of thing. What you want is a database procedure (or an OS utility - it depends on what sort of processing you want to do in the background).

Hi,
consider i have streaming bits of data as input who length varies each time. I need to select 11 bits at a time and apply (15,11) hamming coding for the inputs till the input is stopped.
I have designed the hamming encoding and decoding block. I need a methodology to select 11 bits at a time from the input and provide to the hamming encoder.
eg: if input is 1100 bits, output must be 1500 bits.
I have uploaded the encoder and the decoder part. Please suggest me the design to read the input and append the output.

Hi Ramana,
what kind of report you want to execute? the report is Executable Report or Modulepool prog. ??
if it is a executable program so when u execute (F8) from SE38 when u find the selection-screen in the menu bar ->Program ->Execute in Background( F9) option exits there u can schedule your report in Background or else use toce SM36 ( Define Background Job).
Why you want to run it in background with transaction code if you have this options?

i'm using oracle forms 10g r2 on windows vista home primume and everything is ok but
when i need to run any form in debug mode i get the following
the jvm 1.4 give me jvm is aborting after that
the oc4j give me the following error frm-92101 there was a failure in the form server during start up

Hi Manoj,
You can do it directly from felix console. just go to http://<host>:<port>/system/console/slinglog there you will see all log files. under first table "Log Level" you will see all the log files and besides to that you will have configuration option, just go there and set log level for each of log files and save it.

Attaching to a Form running outside the builder
The advantage of attaching the debugger to a Form that runs outside of the Builder is that the Form can be running on a different machine other than the one debugging it. The configuration gives an end user the opportunity to run the Form and encounter errors while the developer debugs interactively with the user.
To start debugging a Form that runs outside the Builder, the Form must be invoked with the parameter Debug=yes passed in the URL. This parameter will invoke a dialog that displays the host name and port number.
In the Forms Builder, open the FMB for the running Form, and select Debug | Attach Debug. You'll need to supply the host name and port number to start debugging the running Form.

How can Run Forms in Oracle9i DS

I have installed Oracle9i DS with complete option under Win XP Professional. I have now serious prob to run Form executables becoz of its new web technology.
1. when i run the form it gives error message, there is no HTTP listner on port 8888 in local machine.
Solution: Then i create the listner named HTTP and i gave port number 8888 and i started the listner.
2. Then again when i try to run, it opens the MSN explorer, but the opening process is going on without end.
Please give me a solution how to solve this problem.

I don't think I have created any new listeners (don't know how to do it). I was palying with cauprefs.ora and cagprefs.ora files a bit, but now have restored them to the original state.

When running on the web Forms no longer uses an environment variable to pick up icon location. This information is now set in the registry.dat file (located Ohome\forms60\java\oracle\forms\registry\). All icons must be converted to GIF or JPG format.
The registry.dat file has 2 lines for
1) default.icons.iconpath=
2) default.icons.iconextension=

when i run rman command to connect with the database then I get the following information message,

What exactly are you trying to do, since the api's don't provide an offline mode just a CPU or C++ AMP implementation of the calculations needed.

You need to convert you ico files to gif's or jpg's.
Then just place them in the directory where the fmx is or better yet specify their location in the registry.dat file.
